After what I seen in Knoxville, Smith County better play harder this week. Either Knox Cathlic was that good or we where that bad. Best of luck to both teams but I will be cheering for the OWLS!

My picks for Region 4-2A Smith Co. Westmoreland York Institute Upperman Cannon Co. Jackson Co. There is no way Smith Co. can lose this region. Westmoreland and York probably will be competing for 2nd. Smith Co. will also be ready for the playoffs with a tough schedule of nonregion games.

Brandi Brown hands down is the better player, but only played 1/2 a year due to injury. So I don't think she should be even on the ballot.

Congrats to Knox Fulton. You guys are a very classy team. Coaches where kind and considerate and players where to for the most part. I believe it would have been a better game if SC had not made so many mistakes. Most of the mistakes where because Fultons speed. The better team one Friday night. Some of you guys just don't know what your talking about. No one is saying Smith Co. will dominate with its defence. We are saying our defence is strong, maybe the best its been in years. We are not saying we are bigger and stronger or even harder hitters. We are saying we think we can compete with your talent and our defence may be what helps us over come your speed and talent in your key positions. Yes we know you have a great offence! Yes we know your good at defence. Yes we know your LAST YEARS state champs. We all know these things. Tell us something we don't know!!! Brag all you want. Games are won on the field. Knox Fulton @ Smith Co. Fulton is a very speedy team. This was suppose to be a down year for them. These guys are no joke. Smith County has one of the strongest defences in 3A. Creats turnovers and makes plays. Offence is very balanced can run or pass. This one will be a tough match up. Homefield is to much, got to go with Smith Co. Smith Co. - 20 Knox Fulton - 17 Greenbrier @ Kingsbury Another tough call. I don't know to much about either team but both had tough games last week. The winner of this game I think will be the team who makes less turnovers. It looks to be a good match up. My call Greenbrier. Round 3 Predictions Fulton over Austin East Fulton has been playing good ball while AE has slipped abit. Smith Co. over Livingston Acadamy Smith Co. defence holds for a second week in a roll. Hosts Fulton next week Greenbrier over Jackson South Side Greenbriers defence shut out MCHS in round 2 who scored 31 in round 1 upset Covington upsets Kingsbury Kingsbury struggled last week against Ripley and it continues this week. Covington will host Greenbrier next week. How do you guys think it will turn out?

This is sure to be a great 3rd round game. Everyone remembers last years game with Macon Co. right? Well I believe both teams are going to come out with a well coached game plan. Week 2 the Wilson Cates Show almost pulled it out but fell short winded. Is the Livingston team ready to step up and run the show or will it be Smith Co. Defence that takes over. I hope to see a big turn out for this game. I would love to see 3 deep at the fences like at MCHS last year. WOW What a game! I told you guys that it was going to be a game of BIG Plays. Portland had 2 big 4th down plays on there scoring drive and Smith Co. had the 35 yard pass for a TD and its goal line stand at the end of the game. Regardless Smith Co. dominated the first three quarters but almost gave it away in the 4th. Portland probably would have scored at the end if the time have not ran out. All in all it was a game for these seniors to remember. I'm proud to have been at the game and cheered you guys on. Just try not to give me a heart attack again next week when the Wilson Cates Show comes to town. Congrats again and good luck next week!

Sorry but I can't see you guys getting past Greenbrier. They are a very tough program.
