The Lady Wildcats are defeated by the Lady Panthers, 34-25. If you had said before the game, that we would hold Powell to less that 35 pts, I would have thought that we would win easily. However, that was not the case. I'm pretty sure our shooting percentage was below 10%, many of them wide open looks. Looking forward to our ladies bouncing back this Friday against Knox Central.

Boys take the win over Powell 81-71. Sloppy play at times, but a good District win for us. If you haven't seen them play, I would encourage you to do so. This is a fun bunch.

I thought we had a good start, especially considering our 2 bigs were both hurt. Porter is going to be sooooo fun to watch for the next 4 years. Our defense is already good and will only get better as the freshman get used to varsity ball.

I hate to say it. But our team is playing like the season was over last week. Yes, I feel real bad for Bervin. Weight program is only part of it. Have to develop QBs as well from much earlier. I've lived here for 20 years and QBs have never been much of a priority. in terms of development. Kudos to Karns for playing hard for the win and first program home playoff game.

Like another one of our posters has pointed out, linemen are everything is high school football. Ask Maryville.

This is hard to watch. We are getting owned on the both lines. All of Karns' runners are having the luxury of going 3 -5 before they are getting touched. I am super disappointed in the lack of effort from our guys. Big props to Karns for their execution.

My wife's family (Collins) is from there. Many of her cousins played for Robbinsville High. Good to see them take a game on "the other side of the mountain" as they say there. Smokey Mountain conference football is good small town football. It should be a good game.

This is a puzzling game to predict for sure. If history holds, then I take the Panthers by 3 tds. I just don't see Science Hill playing up to their potential. As always, I hope everyone comes out healthy.

I did post on your question earlier. I think we look good, but there is much work to do. Top players (for now) Jackson and Dozier at running back, Heyward and Ferrera at Wide-out, Tarwater and Sharp at QB, Bervan and Kelley at LB. Those are who have stood out to me at practice. The last day of practice is usually an inter-squad scrimmage. If that is the case, it will be this Thursday. Sure CW! You are already seeing a big difference with Ellison running the offense. There is a lot more tempo. Heyward and Ferrera stand out to me. All of the running backs, Jackson and Dozier, etc are catching the ball out of the backfield well. There will be a lot of passing which is new for a Gaddis coached team. Tarwater and Sharp both look good. We have the most linemen out for football that I have seen in a long time. We return most of our Offensive line and they all look bigger and stronger this spring. The big question will be replacing our defensive line and secondary. Linebackers will be fine with the return of Bervan and Kelley. I like the pace and attention to detail that I see in practice and the coaches seem excited at how the guys are responding. I'm looking forward to the fall.

After watching a couple of days of practice, I think Wildcat fans will be very pleased with the team this fall.

I think he gets the most out of pretty ordinary players. I like the emphasis on defense. I like that we are almost always in every game that we play. We play a style a basket that is fun to watch. I'll take that anytime.
