  1. I totally agree, most definitly the most explosive offensive player in the league. He deserves that award.
  2. First off, it's been awhile since I've posted on here, mainly due to the dissapointment of FA exiting the playoffs in the first round, but I was at the game tonight and I must say that JCS played very well. Excellent season and congrats on the Gold ball coming back to the West. I didn't understand some of the Eagles play calling and thought that they were definitly more than 6 points better than FCS, but nevertheless you got the job done so way to go. Secondly, everyone's soapbox the whole year has been strength of schedule and I thought JCS really showed everyone how the West is better than people think. Congrats to FCS on an AMAZING season, but if you were in the West you wouldn't have finished in the top 3 in 8A, its just that simple. I know I sound like I'm letting steam off and I am; it has irked me all year how teams from the middle and east win by 40+ playing cupcakes and get on here boasting like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and then come up against against a fair team from the West and get blasted. I am very glad JCS showed everybody how we play ball. Hopefully in the next couple of years, we won't be taken for granted so much. Great job to everyone who participated tonight, winners and losers, can't wait till next year!
  3. JCS by more than people think. Good luck to both teams!
  4. Someone from 8A must have rubbed you the wrong way Butchie.. lol.
  5. BUSCHMAN IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard to be objective on this topic. I think Lake Co. is definitly a formidable opponent, but I just think FA is on another level. Like Buschman said, for the first time in years they are not one-dimensional. They are very dangerous come playoff time. Good luck to both teams but I gotta say that FA names the score.
  6. Final Four - Fayette Academy, Jo Byrns - FCS, Coalfield
  7. Excellent point.. I had not thought about the conditions tomorrow night. I'm going to go ahead and say that FA wins by 10. I think that their line play will be better and offensively they are back to 100%. The weather shouldn't affect their ground game and since it is in Somerville I predict the Vikings will pull it out and win the region championship!
  8. i want to hear some opinions of those who have played both FA and TCA... how do yall think the game will turn out?
  9. I believe this will be an excellent game in Somerville! FA recently got their starting QB back so they should be close to 100%. TCA will be tough but being that the game is in Somerville will make it harder for them. My pick will come later in the week.
  10. What happened to the Vikings Friday night bosox?.. How did the offense/defense play?.. When is Davis Cocke going to be back, and are the Vikings going to be ready for Trinity?
  11. Well when FA played UC in the second round last year, the game ended 6-0, resulting from two UC field goals. FA's defense played very well . The offense had a chance to win the game up until the very last series, but could'nt put it in the endzone. I thought FA and UC were very evenly matched. I dont know about TCA, but I do know that FA beat them 48-7 last year, if thats any indication of how TCA would match up with last years UC team.
  12. Obviously TCA has a balanced attack, and passes well, but what about their defense? What will be their strengths/weaknesses in the FA game?
  13. No stats on him but #57-Jarrod Smith for Fayette Academy is a beast in the middle. Very quick and vvvvery strong.
  14. isn't there already a thread on candidates for 1A mr. football.. how is this different?
  15. Fayette Academy's Joe Wentworth has 869 yards through 7 games. Averaging 124 YPG, 9 TD's.
  16. Trousdale, great?? IDK about that. I know pujo might disagree with me but I say decent at best. Nevertheless FCS plays the toughest schedule out of the top 5 teams and have performed the best this season thus far, they should be the team to beat.
  17. Fayette Academy is allowing 5 PPG through 7 games.
  18. I agree, you can't really argue about how JBS played their worst game of the season. The fact is that they got beat by a better team. Not trying to take anything away from JBS, but this year seems very similiar to last year when they were beating the mess out of everyone and came up against a good team from the west and get handled easily. Not saying that will happen this year but I wouldn't be surprised.
  19. Fayette Academy is averaging 35 PPG; allowing 4.6 PPG.
  20. According to CoachT the FA/Trinity game isn't until Oct. 27, the last game of the season. Maybe we should wait until we get a little closer to the game before we start talking about it.
  21. Thanks for the stat update kwc.. looks like Fayette County is representing themselves well!!
  22. Agreed, FA has a very strong backfield, Joe Wentworth, Ron Butler, Cole Trim and Pete Watson are all bruising backs with good speed. The fourth ranked offensive attack in all of Shelby-Metro.
