If Loretto plays like they have the past month, your prediction will ring true. If Loretto plays like they did the previous 3 months, WV will be upset. Depends on if Loretto can overcome this lack of rhythm they've found themselves in. GC vs Summertown will be a great game!

So, Loretto beats Summertown at Summertown by 19 (up by 23 at one point), at home by 14 (up by 25 or 26 at one point), and on a neutral court by 8 (after being down by 10 after 1 period), and because we lose 1 out of 4 to Summertown by 9 points that makes them the better team. Ok, makes perfect sense.

It's not pressure, it's a total change in gameplan. Hoping that changes back b4 Sat. We had decent, but still not regular season type help from role players. Karly scored 16 in the 1st half. She came out late (5 were already on the floor for the start of the 3rd) after half, and she was missing her long sleeves (haven't seen her play without long sleeves in a very long time). That was the worst half of basketball in her career. Almost like she was playing with an illness. She definitely didn't look like herself, and was probably 1-10 from the field in the 2nd half and finished with 18.

Yeah, I don't know what has happened Pioneer. From which personnel get what amount of playing time, to defensive approach, to offensive strategy. It has all changed. It wasn't broken, so I'm not sure why so much has changed over the course of the past month.

Loretto has to do a major reset. They need to go back to their strength, ball movement. Create driving lanes and open 3's with said ball movement. If this was November-Jan Loretto, I'd be confident in the Mustangs taking this game regardless of venue, but this is Feb/March Loretto. And Feb/March Loretto needs to do some soul searching to avoid a very bad showing against a great WV team.

We aren't the same team we were in the regular season. A 10 point favorite is laughable. WV should definitely be favored. I'm not sure what has happened to our girls, but they've been out of sync for a while now.

Yes, the officiating was bad and it was one sided. But let's be honest, Loretto isn't the team they were in the regular season. We don't move the ball well, we aren't shooting the ball well, we can't drive to the basket because ball movement isn't opening up lanes, and our pressure isn't what it was. On top of that, Karly just played her worst half of basketball in her career. Things aren't looking good for Loretto's chances at Westview unless something major happens.

I caught the 4th period of the WV/Huntingdon game, so i'm only basing my prediction off of that. With gameplanning & proper preparation, you may be right. But, if y'all play like you did in that 4th period without Jada, GC should definitely win. May be best to rest her. If you win, great.. If not, she still gets 3 extra rest days before substate.

If Jada is out, or limited, I think GC easily wins. I'll take Loretto by 10+ over Summertown. And i'll take Westmoreland by 8 over York.

agreed. Ally, Clifton sisters, Buttrum, Lanie, and Cozart all have been super effective driving to the basket against very good teams this year. But when outside shots aren't falling (since Creekwood really), Ally seems to be the only one (outside of Karly) attempting to score in the paint with any regularity. I think a lot of this has to do with ball movement. For the first 4/5 of the season, Loretto moved the ball better than any h.s. team I've seen this year. However, that hasn't been the case since the Creekwood game. If we don't get back in sync, we're going to find ourselves in much more closely contested games the rest of the way. Karly is having to do far too much as of late! Loretto definitely hasn't looked like an unstoppable force over the past couple weeks, that's for sure. And if Jada misses time or is less than 100% for WV going forward, and Loretto continues to be out of sync offensively (relying on Karly to score 30 plus), then AA is much more wide open than it looked a few weeks ago.

Great win by Summertown. A ton of heart shown by both teams all game. Summertown didn't shoot or play anything like they're capable of, but found a way to win!

Worst 3 periods i've seen Summertown play all year.. Hope they find some rhythm soon.
