  1. Nah....we don't need em cause we dont need any luck. We'll just rub the multiple ones we have in our trophy cases both boys and girls. I believe there are six in all.
  2. Your comment doesn't even justify a response.......All I have to say is our record speaks for itself. ( if my memory seves me correctly we usually play a sub-state game against someone from your region. That is how we get to the state "Smart boy", I mean "Sparta boy", by beating someone from your region!) How many times have you been to the final four?
  3. Why you got a bee in your bonnet about Bradley? Are you just nervous? Seems to me if you weren't you wouldn't be talking about them so much all over these message boards.
  4. I want to tell all of my fellow Bradley posters to take a chill!!!!! We don't want to give our Maryville opponents too much firepower. I want to say that we ALL need to be humble (That means all teams in the state tourney) I don't think that there is any team that is unbeatable or a shoe-in for the championship. Each team has got to come in be focused and play a complete game. I feel like my Bradley Bears are quite capable of winning, however it has to be one game at a time!
  5. My point TeRrAnCe_JaY21 (not that I was directing my original question to you.....I believe it was to OaklandGrad) was that we have had a strong program as has Oakland. They are always strong. My question to OaklandGrad was sincere. Anyway......seems like you always have an opinion as I have seen on other threads. Maybe you should get into talk Radio. By the way, I hate Alabama!
  6. Thanks for the info! Wish you all the best of luck and I have to admit that I'm glad you are in the other bracket (Ya'll sound awesome). Maybe we'll get to meet in the finals.
  7. No we play in the AAU Super Regional in Birmingham, AL. It is a national qualifier. We play in the Tennessee sub-state and are playing in either Lynchburg or Knoxville. We played in the Clarksville sub-state last year. Thanks HoopsinTN! I usually get all of our tourneys off the YBOA national site or the national AAU site which I don't think is very good. Your resource is much better!!!
  8. I am seriously not being a smart *** cause I really don't know. Has Oakland won a state championship? If so, what years? Bradley has been in a susbstate game 9 out of the last 11 years and has been to the state tournament 5 times and finished runners-up two of those times. Coach Smith put Bradley back on the map as a state contender after many years in the 80's and early's 90's of not winning district! Would like to get the gold ball back again. GO BEARS!
  9. Everybody on this thread is cracking me up talking about Bradley and Oakland! If I were Oakland I'd be concentrating on Powell(25-9) not too shabby, and then Ridgeway and Clarksville in the upper bracket. Ya'll are getting the cart before the horse. I hope Powell's checking all this out!!! One game at at time, baby. According to everybody, Oakland's already won the gold ball. You better be focused on the matter at hand or somethin's liable to bit ya in the butt!!!!!hehehehehe
  10. I have a boys 13 and under AAU team based out of Cleveland and am looking for tournaments in middle tennessee and east tennessee. We play in the birmingham super regional, sub-state, state, and a couple of YBOA's. Does anyone know of anything around east or middle tennessee coming up?
  11. Red Bank is a quick very athletic team. Did they not shoot well? Does anyone know if Oakland played them man-to-man or what? What was the biggest factor in the Oakland win?????
  12. Hats off to a great white county team........they can shooooooot the ball. Glad we bradley bears are headed to Murfreesboro!
  13. You seem to know everything!!!!!heheheheheheh. I don't guess that Patterson Prep School, Greeneville, Oak Ridge, Bob Jones (AL) and Butler (AL), Class 5 AAAA AL State Defending champions and second ranked in AL are very tough competition. We will see if the proof is in the pudding.
  14. Hey 85 Warrior.........Both Bradley players Dodd and Groothius can score and both are usually in double figures and get a high number of rebounds each. When one player isn't hitting they just go to another in their arsenal. The reason they went to Groothuis in the game against Red Bank is because he can jump to the ROOOOOOOOOOOOOF!
  15. I'm a huge Bradley Fan but am very proud for the raiders. Hope they do well in Sub-State.
  16. Thanks KnowALot for your words... For those of us who are Bradley fans we know that they did not suck. 26-3 hardly stinks. And if Bradley stunk so bad then why would all the region 3 teams not play them in the regular season? Red Bank was the ONLY team who would play them. If you ask 90% of the Bear fans they would probably admit that BCHS was ranked too high.........but then again we didn't ask for that ranking...it was given on history. This year's starting five had THREE sophomores! After graduating 8 seniors most everyone would assume this would be a rebuilding year and it was. Congratulations anyway to the Bears on a fine season and especially Wes Suiter and Yarrish Hammonds for giving us four awesome years at BCHS.
  17. Hee....hee....hee..... I think everyone will be surprised at the outcome! I also heard that the FUTURE Bears are being introduced at halftime of the boys game tonight. (This 5th-6th grade elementary team went 23-0.........sounds like a bright future.)
  18. Bradley wins 95-53. Enough said......
  19. Bradley at Cleveland - Friday, January 21 Cleveland at Bradley - Friday, February 11
  20. Interestingly, Bradley beat Austin East up at the tournament in Greenville who Cleveland lost to. BCHS won the tourney......I wouldn't count them out this year.
  21. I have a 10 and under team very interested in playing in this tournament but only one other team has expressed interest so it looks like this division may not make. If anyone has a 10 and under team call the tournament director. He says he still has open courts to use.
  22. Hey Doylian: Obviously you don't have a freakin clue about competition! Did you know that Bradley Central defeated the Alabama State Champions-John Carroll High? That was in the Rumble on the Ridge tournament in Arkansas. Get off your high horse, find out about tough schedules and them get back on CoachT and discuss it. (I said this before in an earlier post: Why would CoachT rank them #2 in their strength of schedule?) Do some research before getting on here and offering your opinion-you just make yourself look ignorant.
  23. Tophat, I was thinking the same thing myself! I was a walk-on (not in basketball) at UTC in tennis and my first year i just practiced with the team. The next year, someone graduated early and I filled the spot. I ended up with a scholarship and a southern conference championship. Because I wasn't the number #1 player at my high school college coaches didn't considered me. This might be feasible for someone who could afford to pay one year at UTC (Which is reasonable compared to other colleges) Good thought.
  24. You obviously don't have a clue!!!! Bradley's coaching staff doesn't need to recruit. Their history and tradition is a dangling carrot in itself and if a kid has any talent, they want to play for the best, disciplined program around. There is No other decision than Bradley Central. Bar None. I'm done on this thread!
