We can scout and prepare all we want, but we (the coaches) are not the ones on the basketball floor! My job is to prepare a plan to defeat the opposition..if they (the players) implement it during the game then 9 times outta 10..they are going to win, but that doesn't always happen.

It's close up there every year....since 1991! Every year for the last 15 years it's been either Bradley or McMinn carrying off the district championship! Those McMinn county girls really get up for the Bradley game and it shows! We'll see at 8 tonight!

They are called the Bradley Central High School Bearettes! Lady Bears are in Mt. Juliet! And yes I do know what I'm talking about...I was apart of 2 district titles, one region championship, sectional runner-up, and a state semi-final team! I'll be back on the floor next year after completion of my master's while you'll always remain in the stands Lucky Day. Good luck!

The best recruiting tool for those teams. Well with no district or region championships between them I guess he's doing a bad job. The girls come to him and run away from him! Yes, he coaches discipline and sometime he goes to extremes, but his methods are ones that you see in all levels of coaching. Before a game at Oak Ridge, Coach Pat Summit came and talked to me. Her quoted words are " Jack is one of the best coaches and you'll learn alot from him." As far as Tucker goes, he coaches the same way and for you to try to make it sound as if one is better that the other is just absurd. I'd bet money that your daughter transfered to Walker Valley cause her feelings got hurt or he wouldn't play your little darling...the most special thing in the world, that does everything perfect and should play all 32 minutes. Don't take shots at coaches...it's a hard job, especially with girls. Maybe you should look in the mirror and see how you are contributing to society. Or maybe you ought to apologize to you daughter. It sounds like with your guidance her basketball career is going to end early.

Bradley boys big.... Bradley girls will win cause of transition points.....that's what happen against McMinn Central! Coaching is the difference! Bradley gilrs by 7 Bradley boys by 40 Lucky Day, your dreaming if you think Walker Valley is going to beat Bradley (guys) your just plain crazy!

I don't think this year's team is his best. We had a great team back in 2001. District and Region champs! Three of those senior girls are still playing college ball. It's a two dog race in Region 3....Cleveland and Bradley. I'll personally make sure Papa Harlow is ready for the Lady Raiders. He's having a great season! Two second place finishes in tournaments. Good year so far! Great year if they can get the district and region championship. Excellent Season if he can get that win in sub-state and earn that trip to Murfeesboro! Only time will tell!

Jackson County as best team and Alex Fuller as best player 2nd would be Mt. Juliet and Katrina Beechboard 3rd would be Shelbyville and Marissa Hensley!

Four of the top five teams from the state are in the same district. Only two advance..sad sad! They are all legit. My top five.... 1) tie Livingston Academy and Jackson County Depends on where they play! Both are just great teams! 3) Upperman I didn't think much on them during the play-days, but they have proven themselves during the season. 4) Obion They will come out of the west in state as a top contenter 5) tie McMinn Central and South Greene South Greene will represent the east in state....McMinn Central better host the sub-state game and pray! In the Mix.... York Institute, Obion, Oliver Springs, Seymour, Walker Valley, Gibson County

you really have to flip a coin in AAA this year...there are few front runners now that most of the teams that were ahead of the pack have been brought down to Earth! Can't wait for tourney time!

You ever thought that maybe it's the way the coach networks a player. A high school coach that knows a college coaches system helps determine whether a girl will fit in or not. I'm a firm believer that almost 99 percent of all girls aren't going to play professional ball. So maybe the academics at an institution of higher learning are part of it! You really want to know where a girl gets noticed...10-under AAU. If she has developed skill and fundementals at that age....she is going someplace. That's just my opinion...and what I've heard from other college coaches. I'd let my daughter play for Insell...but not while I'm coaching!

Sport fund-raisers like golf tournaments, basketball tournaments, car washes,....also they give you a set amount of money when you come to the tournament...all kinds of different ways. If all that doesn't cover it..then you put your hand out toward the parents! haha!

The Bradley county School System refuses in every major sport to play D-II schools. the coaches would love to compete against them. This occurs in basketball and football also. The school board must think it's unfair or something...it's really hard to understand them. Bradley is the best team in the state. They have a great coach! What he does for those young men is incredible.

Academics over athletics...go figure!
