Only gyms in district 4 that hold a thousand are wartburg and Jellico. Nobody else has enough seats by tssaa rule to hold the tourney. Not even for sure if Jellico holds a thousand.

Oakdale played Kingston largely without Kilby. Injured in opening minutes of game and didn't return. Oakdale and Wartburg played Kingston very similar. Both played tough until last couple of minutes and Kingston depth wore both of them down. Oakdale/Wartburg games against Kingston were both closer than the final score indicated. BTW Kingston is a good team.

District 4-A Girls 1. Oakdale (bye) 2. Coalfield vs. 7. Sunbright 2-15-11 3. Oneida vs. 6. Jellico 2-15-11 4. Oliver Springs vs. 5. Wartburg 2-15-11 All first round games will be played at higher seed at 7:00 p.m. EST except Oliver Springs vs. Wartburg which will be played at Wartburg due to Oliver Springs tournament hosting restrictions. 2nd round 2-18-11 All games will be played at Wartburg High School for semis on. Oakdale vs. Oliver Springs/Wartburg Coalfield/Sunbright vs Oneida/Jellico Championship and Consolation will be on 2-21-11 at Wartburg High School.

Oakdale vs. Sunbright has been postponed. No makeup set.

Don't have a bracket but I do remember 5 of the teams in it. White co. vs. Oakdale. Clinton vs. Clarkrange. And upperman is in it also but I don't remember who they play.

I think wartburg and coalfield will both come out on top. I think both games will come down to the last minute but wartburg and coalfield have been so battle tested coming out of District 4-A. Few large margin wins in 4-A. Jordan will find a way to make sure Coalfield gets there. Wartburg's seniors "been there done that" experience level will pull them through on the road. Fans are gonna see some good games tonight no doubt about that.

Seriously your picking a fight with Hampton. I know Grace has a decent team but they haven't proven anything. Proof is in the playoffs. Hampton has proven a lot.

I wouldn't fire up Hampton if I were you. Hampton may not be as strong as usually but they are still Hampton. A proven program like Hampton can bury anyone on a certain night. Just be careful.

Exactly! If a lesser team is ahead with 3 minutes to go and is disciplined enough to work an offense and hold the ball forcing the "greater team" to foul why should they be punished with a shot clock? The greater team should never have gotten down to begin with. Basketball has worked for years lets leave it the way it is. The only favorable argument for a shot clock is so that the fans can enjoy the game more. High school sports should not be about the fans. It is about the student athletes that are on the floor. Let them decide the game not a shot clock so you can be more entertained.

It's at Oneida and starts at 8:00 I think. Greenback gains its strength on the boards. Rebounding wins games and that saying is definately true for Greenback. OS must keep them under control on the glass and try to contain Hammontree. Greenback must limit Christopher's transition points and pressure Greenback to get some easy buckets. But in all I think OS will out quick them to the championship. OS by 10 but I hope it's closer than that.
