Got to see the new Demarini's in action last night.The sound is a cross between composite and wood. Very different. The ball seems to come off a little better than wood. An seems to have more pop than wood. But it is going to take away some hits from guys that got the little dinkers before. Seems you have got to swing them instead of just putting the bat in front of the ball. They will be eye openers. But this is the college bats. Don't know what restrictions will be on high school. If their the same it is going to change the game.

Well it looks like there's a new boss in jasper according to the paper this morning. Congrats to coach Tony Long. Does any one know about new coach? Seems like he has been around some good programs. Good luck to the Warrior faithful.

OK Now that school has been in session now for a week or two. Who will be the coach? Keep hearing rumors. Shane Roberson maybe? I know it's eating at the Warrior faithful. Give us some help.

I was told tuesday night he was offered job on tuesday. If you look into past coaches at Seq. Co you will find who it is. He is or was coaching at Shelby Valley High school in Pike Co. KY.

I'd bet the coach from KY was offered the job and turned it down because his wife didn't want to come. Laugh if you want but it's true. He is a good coach. Don't know about the 6 state titles. He has coached in TN before . But anyway good luck with the new coach.

It must be Bledsoe Co. because Sequatchie Co. hosted in 2007.

Sequatchie Co. was 6-4 the 1980 season and 7-4 the 1981 season. The 1981 season was the 1st year Seq. Co. went AA. We had 9 district games and 1 off game against Whitwell. That season the district had McCallie, Ooltewah, Soddy Daisy, Riverside, Notre Dame, Grundy, City High, Central and Kirkman. Went 4-1 1st half and 2-3 2nd half with a bowl win against Marion Co to make it 7-4.

From what I saw, it looked like S. Pitt will be as strong or stronger than last year if they have any line at all. The QB looks to be a better passer than last year. Plenty of good hands and speed as always. Signal Mt. will be a good team in the future. They have a good group of coaches it looks like. Central looked like they have some speed and seem to have started to buy in to Coach Bargers system. Could have a good year. From what I saw Seq. is still a little young in some positions. But will be a different team this year than the past 2. The QB position will be a big factor. Seems like someone is going to have to step up and be the man whoever it is. Needs a leader not a bunch of followers. Didn't get to see much of Howard and Coffee Co.
