I have noticed that many on here have spoken about not swinging at an "adult". Is it really okay to swing at anyone. Whether it be adult, player, fan, umpire. Our society is so used to violence and violent acts that it almost seems like we are saying it's okay for the players to fight, but how dare a player try to fight a coach. In my book a swing is a swing is a swing----NO MATTER FOR WHOM IT IS INTENDED . And BTW, everyone is responsible for their actions. Mommy and daddy cant and wont be there all the time to hold these kids hands. Hopefully we raise our kids instilling respect and they DON'T do things like this. But people can let their emotions get the best of them sometimes and it doesn't make them a bad person---just a person that made a mistake........that will be remembered for a while, unfortunately.

jacketsfan13 did you witness the altercation first hand? If so, what was the reaction of Coach Brackett and the player's parents? I guess what I am getting at is this, was there any apology/more words exchanged/etc.?

How do teams play 3-6 games a day during summer camp and are expected to do their best? Maybe freshmen should not get the opportunity to practice or play with the varsity. Maybe that would solve the situation.

I believe there may be an opening for assistant track coach. It's kind of hush hush right now------can they drive a bus?

Kingston should beat Harriman. The Jackets have much more depth and talent. But give Oakdale some respect, they are a very good team in one of the most difficult districts in all of A ball. Harriman losing to the Eagles is not as bad as you make it sound.

Sale Creek drops out of Hall of Fame games tonight at Midway. Unsure of reason, but heard that two cars were broken into last night. Now their principal refuses to let the team play.

That MCHS will win........McMinn Central or McMinn County, they are both MCHS. Captain, you criticize atn301 and hopalot, then you call people homos and tards. What does that have to do with high school sports?? I think I know what that B stands for .............. I hope Central by 5, that way it stings McMinn hard and we can read about all their excuses on here for months. But unfortunately it'll probably be Central by 30.........

It seems that the officiating there is always awful. I believe that is the Knox-Ridge association. I do not know that for certain. Normally, Knox-Ridge is above average. May be a different association. I saw a couple of games there last year that were poorly called with 3 officials.

Agreed...... but still not the best team in the county. OZ, and maybe even Rockwood, ahead of Kingston. Maybe......... Coach Allen has done a great job bringing that program back!

Who will be on Kingston's schedule this weekend? Any idea on other teams that will be there?

I know the Kees have some good players on the team and will have a good season overall, but i give the nod to the Chargers. Thanx for lettin' me play!!!!!

I believe Gentry will be challenged by teams this year. Last year teams focused on Sitzlar, and Brooke made them pay. In the district tourney she had games of 20+, 12, and 20+. Teams knew about her at that point and they couldn't stop her----AS A FRESHMAN!!!! I have no doubt that Brooke will have another fine season and be the leading scorer/rebounder. Possibly even assist/steals leader. SHE IS THAT GOOD!!!

IMO, Gentry is far and away the best player on that team. She can score,rebound, has good handles, makes the right pass at the right time. She is the whole package. As a freshman she garnered 2nd team all-district. This year she might get some recognition throughout East Tennessee. She's the real deal. Kingston will be as good as Gentry performs!

"Electric" is a subtle way of putting it. HAHAHA! He seems to be a good guy and coach. And he has some material at Scott to work with, they will surprise some teams this year i believe. I'll go ahead and pick the "upset" of district foe Kingston.

They got too much credit. just kidding. everyone has an off night occasionally. they will do well in their region.
