  1. Bruce Mccurdy from brentwood should be mentioned, heck of a player, can throw and run and do whatever u want him to do
  2. didnt brentwood beat CBHS, so id say brentwood is the best team, especially after beating everyone in memphis and having their way with everyone in middle tennessee so far
  3. ok guys im sorry but i have seen both maryville and riverdale play, riverdale is too much for maryville. All around the board riverdale is bigger faster and stronger and just as well coached. Trust me i played against in a state championship and in 2 scrimmages. I believe the score if the 2 played would be like 31-17 somewhere round there. I have never seena team so fast as riverdale and discilplined. and yes i have seen maryville play 3 times so i can make a pretty fair judgement. Maryville just doesnt have the speed or size.
  4. brentwood says "gata"-cant tell u what it means tho, its personal
  5. im pretty sure the scrimmage is at 3, brentwood is looking very good preseason so far with many changes in both the offense and defense, going back to the spread offense and a new defense key players from brentwood to look for will be: #14- welch-lost some weight this summer and is much quicker and more mature in the pocket should have a good season, #18- heimerdinger-has some of the best hands in middle tennessee and welch's favorite target, #9- mccurdy-a junior who got significant amount of playing time last year, will be very good, plays rb/cb, #30- lifsey-plays safety and is a very big hitter, good knack for the ball and a leader on defense, #81-skiera-playes de/te, started last year and has gotten stronger and more physical over the offseason, good player,#24-echetebu-hard north and south runner who wil start at rb, very strong,#16-hobbs will play mlb, big kid about 6'5 220 and is a all around good player, look for him to make some noise this year; the o and d lines are totally revamped with 4 new starters and everyone playing a different position there then they did last year, all have good technique and will only get better as the year progresses, all in all b-wood will be just fine when the season rolls around, once their offense is clicking and defense set in stone, i could see them making a long run into the playoffs, just my two cents
  6. rebel i will agree with you that they should have knelt because they had us beat and whoever made the big play at the end was gonna win and we happened to make the play, you cant forget van horne shooting through the hole and pretty much tackling their qb and runningback simultaneously, so yea they should have knelt but we made a play and made the field goal and won
  7. not really totally sure on the defensive line picks from riverdale, perkins is a good player and kimbrough isnt really that good, i can say this because i went against both of them twice and there are better players out there than these 2, no offense to them cause they are still good jus not all state in my opinion, other that that pretty good picks
  8. Brentwood bruins, best defense in the region the past 3 years
  9. i know this kid graduated but if you want to learn how to play linebacker like it is supposed to be played jus watch ian van horne from Brentwood last year, he will show you how it is done, he will be playin d1 ball
  10. i played some against forte alongside stephen jones in the ba,Brentwood game and nick forte is forreal, he is darn good
  11. in reply to bigdogdaddy, i will agree that solima was a very good quarterback but i dont think he was as good as everson or edmiston, austen was probably the smartest quarterback to play high school football on the field in the past couple years, he could pass and boy could he RUN, with the offense he had installed when the bruins won state with steckel at the helm, most qb's couldnt run that offense trust me, i was part of it, but odnt get me wrong solima is very good and will do well at tech

    Oak Ridge

he was completely shut down by brandon pearce of cbhs, i think he was a little overrated coming into the game
  13. lauren stewart from brentwood has to be mentioned
  14. no need for sarcasm tedy i mean, if they played 10 times i bet each team would would win 5 a piece, brentwood came out strong and just had some defensive breakdowns, congrats to bga on a good game, have to give them credit for coming back after being down 2-0, but i do think bga and brentwood are pretty even
  15. ok i know he isnt the biggest of them but man can this kid play some ball, i mean he is batting something like .700 and i mean he went 4 for 4 in his last game with 4 homeruns, evertime this kid steps up to the plate the ball is terrified cause he just kills it everytime, not the pitcher but the baseball itself. please post back with ur thoughts and let it be known how awesome this kid is i mean come on, can we say 1st round in the draft
