man eagleflight, the refs mustve been awful if there was a 22 point swing in CAK's favor.... who are you kidding? anyone who watched that game saw that CAK played miserable the first half and was still the better team. a FB dive can only take you so far. You might need to pass that along for playoff football.

can someone explain to me how Loudon wins the region if they win this game? That would make 3 teams with 1 loss. Loudon beats Alcoa, Alcoa beats CAK, CAK beats Loudon. How would the tiebreaker work? Now, i dont think Loudon is going to win. but i am curious about the tiebreaker situation.

Thats not such a bad thing. I know who you are bucsfan and im really impressed with your play this season. I believe you were, at one point, the 5th string quarterback and our scout team meat to feed on. Quite the turn around. After talking with a player that has a large role on this year's team, i have decided that this team has got it going on. They know why theyre playing, and who theyre playing for. Please keep to it.

id like to think i got the privilege to play against three of them in my career. Mark Byrd was great but lets not forget about Dakota Benfield and Dane Christman as well. These three really made those teams.

Emery is without a doubt the second best defensive player ive seen so far this season and i cant imagine too many players getting up there with him.

You make it sound like this is a new concept to the Warriors. Every team CAK has played since 2002 has had that same mentality. I dont expect Cherokee to surprise the Warriors in any way. The same things that are being said about this Cherokee team were said about the Johnson County teams they have played in the past. Good luck Warriors.

Unfortunately, this joker has made some valid points. Im not going to get into them because its been 4 years since and the only people who probably have any idea of what that game was like were some of the 8th graders that were moved up to the HS team for the playoffs like Stooksbury, Matlock, Underwood, Sanford and a few others. So tellinithowitis, i dont think youre completely crazy and it sounds like you have some sort of knowledge about what happened. I cant imagine it would be too difficult to figure out who I am so come find me at the game and let me know who you are. I really hope CAK takes this one. I've always been confused by all district teams. I dont think this should be called the all district team. If im making a legit all district team, im taking the best players from CAK and Catholic and making a team out of that.

There is no Witt. His last name is Worthen and he is back at South Doyle. Derron Logan, no relation, graduated and is playing at Maryville College. If Kolinsky decides to quit football to focus on baseball it will be a shame. The kid doesnt strike me as big time college baseball material and would have a chance to be as stud a tailback as CAK has had in Rusty Bradley's offense.

Well, i suppose my ultimate point was that CCS, as well as many of the top tier soccer programs in the state, never really go through rebuilding seasons as much as they are reloading for their future runs at the championship. This should be a very intense game for both teams because obviously at this point there are no easy draws. Id say that like the Maryville football teams, the Tennessee Temple basketball teams and the like, it would be near impossible to bet against CAK's soccer team in their domain, the state tournament. I liked the way my old coachT friend BUBBA61 put it when he called the CAK soccer team a "war machine". I like the war machine to take this one 3-1. After all the talk of CAK losing their edge by eating dinner with CPA, i expect the Warriors to play a statement game and really attack CCS's defensive backfield in this one with their quickness and good ball possession.

I dont think CCS has rebuilding years. Wasn't it a rebuilding year 2 years ago when they made it to the state finals?

Yeah Yeah Yeah, the ball may have literally bounced your way a couple times but the tides are changing in the world of kindergarten soccer and i will reclaim the championship from the most competitive soccer tournament in the world today. I do usually get the first 3 or 4 draft picks, i may look toward Little G to captain my team this season. Well twinkletoes, i am greatly offended. You may or may not know the recent hardships i have had in my rivalry with Little G but to be honest, I cant remember such a rivalry in sports history between a coach and a player of a different team. Maybe Michael Jordan and Chuck Daly, maybe LaDanian Tomlinson and Bill Belichick, but i really dont think so.

Yeah, i agree with what everyone else is saying in that what you were quoted as saying was clearly not what you meant to say. HOWEVER, I get a little bit of a chuckle when i read it because it made me think, what if Coach G were one of those coaches that showed no mercy and he really did mean "I knew they'd be intimidated by us". I know youre not like that, but for a brief moment in time it looked like you coach high school soccer the same way I coach the kindergarten soccer campers.

I've been watching your progression on these here soccer boards and have decided that you're main goal is to 1)provide basic information that everyone would know to make yourself seem knowledgeable on high school soccer and 2) to bash people when they provide better information than yourself. If YOU would've read the player's post, he simply stated that your boy Hutchins did not lead the Premier League in scoring this year. Thats it. You took it upon yourself to jump on the player for truly no good reason. If YOU wanted it to be said than why not just say it "Im either a 14 year old JV pine pony rider or a 40 year old man who likes to relive his glory days and the best satisfaction I can get is by bashing the player on an internet discussion forum based on one of the most fun times in a kid's life, high school sports."

for CAK, Andy Holt missed, Brandon Tarr missed, Chris Pifer made his shot, and David Pifer missed sealing the win for Catholic. Good game to both teams but Catholic needs to be enjoy this win for the night and forget about it tomorrow because i see two more matchups between these two teams and as this series over the past few years has shown, both teams always need to pack a lunch, dinner, and maybe a late night 4th meal when they meet up.
