I saw that in the paper, not only that, but Webb is 3-0 so far. Should be very interesting, but with no baseline for who Webb has played, it'll be tough predicting. I think, tho, if Oneida can keep the pressure on the back line as they've shown they can, they'll get on the board... the worry for me is Oneida's backfield, they haven't had to show much yet this year, this'll be their proving ground. They seem good, but with not much pressure yet, we'll see. If I had to predict, I think Oneida wins 3-1. It'll be entertaining, though. Looking forward to it!

Lord, Dandy, lighten up... have some more of the stuff that general who swore we'd find Osama "by October" (coincidentally, right before a major election) was smoking when he said that. At least he had a sense of humor right before the administration backed WAY the heck off that stupidity (not that they had anything to do with his statement, granted... that was just dumb... confident, yes, but dumb to say to the media)

Either way, that's just plain badly coiffed fecal matter. All I'm sayin, ya know. Just groom, Baby.

Not arguing that point. I agree they haven't been significantly tested yet, and from everything I'm hearing, they'll get that with Webb. All I'm saying is that they have the potential to be extremely good. Even against not-so-good teams, you can show brilliance that would still show against "better" competition. Looking forward to hosting Lenoir City, too... that'll be an epic, I think.

Sure, look at every NFL owner (with the exception of Al Davis, that's a BAD cut)

Trust a Republican to take the fun out of anything. My caption: "I'm holding my breath until we find Osama *GASP*.............."

Oneida's played three games so far, outscoring their opponents 21-0... I've only kept stats for the last 2 games, but by my count, they've only given up 1 SHOT on target in those 2 games, easily saved... flashes of pure brilliance, some letdown in the middle of the Cumberland County game, but overall, very, VERY good... especially when they can put DeAraujo, Grigsby, Swain, and Welch up front in their 4-2-3-1... Grigsby and DeAraujo have already formed a great rapport, they can be very, VERY dangerous against anybody. And they have plug-ins all over the field, Stevens, Brewster, Losher, Hamilton, and Chenowith... their back four is good with Wilder, Buhaly, Smith, and usually Grigsby... and Choi and Kim coming in this year as exchanges, along with DeAraujo, and McCulloch in goal... he hasn't had to do much yet, but Thursday should test him. I know I'm leaving kids out, don't be mad at me, I'm going by memory here ;P

Ah, election year politics. *SNIFF* Can't you just SMELL the pretentious self-righteousness in the air? GOD, I love the smell of righteous indignation in the morning. This is PRECISELY why I back NEITHER party, and NEVER will. (pardon my use of caps, but I've got my dander up tonight... my wife didn't leave me enough hot water for a shower, and I'm RIPE) The resolution that was introduced was for a good cause, supporting our troops in a fight they were ordered to engage in. Absolutely. To a man/woman, they are brave, strong people, and I have nothing but the absolute, 100%, total respect for each and every one of them that wears a military uniform. heck, I'm even torn and ashamed when I see one that I can't salute them out of respect because I never earned that right. In that regard, I wholeheartedly agree with that resolution. What I could and probably what some did object to was that language was also in the resolution praising the President and his handling of everything. If not, I apologize. But if so, that WOULD be a partisan trap, and putting that language into it would be underhanded. It's an old lawyer's trick, getting you to agree to a blanket of statements while you only really agreed to one. Not that that isn't a VERY old Washington ploy... draft a bill to give hungry, deformed kids health care, while placing a rider in it that the meat packers in Joe Bob's district get 150% tax breaks. When you vote against it, you've evil for denying those poor kids health care. If you vote for it, you're promoting pork barrel politics. HAPPENS EVERY DAY. So everybody needs to come off their high horse, realize what this is, and move on. Righteous indignation stinks worse than no hot water. But then again... *SNIFF* I do love that smell. And I'm going to go snuggle up with my wife, and make sure she shares in my olfactory bounty this evening.

Que? Under de porch? Oh, senor, no.. we preferre de old Buick.. de radio could recieve futbol.

Oh, goodness, we couldn't do that, that would be holding the child responsible for their actions, and that costs votes! It's everyone but the child and the parent's fault. Acting up in school is merely a reflection of the bad teaching, and not enough breakfast, and and problems in the home caused by unemployment... uh... ooops, wasn't gonna bring that up... but teachers need to be vetted by the Federal Government, just like in North Korea!

The secret is definately to be playing on a dial-up... on DSL, I couldn't get past 1000. Game speed reflects connection speed, I think. -

woo, I found the secret to it!! 2285! -
You know, you're right. Every official that could possibly make the playoffs got together before the season, in white robes in a cave in Chattanooga and decided who was going to win this year, and every official signed his blood oath that he would screw every other team to make it happen. IS that how this "conspiracy" started? I'm glad you brought this to everyone's attention. From now on, we'll play the games with no referees. Let fans call the fouls... and make sure the police aren't there, either. Then there won't be any conspiracy keeping some fans on a certain side of the gym, while "everybody else" gets away with everything. That would make for a FAR more entertaining game, right?

I'll say this. If McSorley didn't get jail time, Bertuzzi won't. That being said, McSorley SHOULD have, and so should Todd. And dandy, the league has left the suspension open-ended, so he could get more next season. I'm as pessimistic about that as any other person, but he could.
-
*as a member of the media* Hey, we're not biased, you're just wrong.
-
I love hockey, all aspects of the game. Thgis was, in my opinion, the worst sneak attack I've ever seen. McSorley's stick to the head, in my thoughts, can be explained as bad aim, and he still got 23 games. The only thing that could be even slightly equivalent was Claude Lemieux's rearranging of Chris Draper's face in the playoffs. But this was/is criminal in my mind, this was trying to injure someone, by driving him into the ice. Punching him is part of the game. riding him down as he fell and driving his head into the ice at least twice isn't. I can see 30 games out of this. But I used to respect Todd Bertuzzi.

It's a very tough thing. Yes, it is a war, but it's not your traditional war, of course. Only one army has shown up on the battlefield, the other is sneaky and sometimes unidentifiable. Now the opinion begins. Do I think this is a "winnable" war? No. There will always be zealots (on BOTH sides on an argument) who refuse to go away. Does that mean we should just give up and not fight? Of course not. Evn if we can't "win", we can limit the damage done by those who want to do nothing but damage.
-
It's interesting, about who's involved and all that. Copycats, terrorists, or what have you. One thing I'm fairly sure of, tho, is that somehow, it'll become our (United States) responsibility to pay for the clean up and fixing. Heck, we've already been indirectly blamed for it (If Spain hadn't backed us, this wouldn't have happened... heard that in the media). Isn't it nice to be the cause of everything bad in this world?

heh Either way I musta been in a bad mood last night, my posts all sound nasty... Oh, well, they did get the point across
