  1. If Fromke ever plays defensive back, it means that there is absolutely no one, including fans with varsity eligibility, left to play the position. As far as Fortner goes, I have been watching him with interest since he was a 7th grader. I have been hoping that he would be the next on the list of great high school offensive tackles at CAK that include Nick Parrish, James Logan and Andrew Fox before him. I think he has a real shot. It is hard for a youngster to match up with juniors and seniors though. All the aforementioned players didn't play the tackle position until their senior years. Hopefully his game time experience last year will have him ready to be "the man" on the offensive line.
  2. So you lost and your crying about it? Take a number kid.
  3. And as sure as all the private schools are gone, people like you are going to cry that the open enrollment schools need to be in their own division too blah blah blah. We've heard it a million times buddy.
  4. If Alcoa can defend CAK's attack, which obviously they did, then they will be able to guard DCA's.
  5. Steven Fortner. Right, my fault. I went to school with a guy named Nick Fortner. I coached Steven when he played for the CAK middle school team, his seventh grade year.
  6. Im not saying dont be proud of him. Just dont beat around the bush. Say, "my son was a freshman on this team and he started 4 games". I coached Nick for a while one season. Pretty good player, hope he pans out.
  7. you ought to respect them, you were a former student there. your father does a great deal of business with them which has, in turn, probably led to some nice things for you. we appreciate your comments. no reason not to respect CAK. no reason not to respect how this game was played. too many people get on coachT and try to fuel the "us against the world mentality". too many people forget that this is a game played by, with a few exceptions like Cobb and Bennett, kids who are experiencing their last 4 years of truly competitive sports. i am proud of the Warriors and hope that they are one day able to see that these are some of the best times of their lives and they can never be gotten back. great job Warrior seniors. you guys were some of the best ever.
  8. I think it would be dumb for anyone to call Davis' athletic ability into question. I remember playing against him when he was a sophomore. He actually had the most sacks in the KFL at the time. Not trying to start anything, Coalfield registered no sacks that game but i do remember our tackles after the game saying that protecting our QB with Davis coming from one side and MPG from the other was the biggest challenge they had all season.
  9. Only Europeans and people from San Francisco care about soccer. The Coach is from Texas with Samoan roots. Do you really expect him, or any other American to care about soccer. When America created basketball, the world took it and embraced it to the point where many countries(such as the Argentinans) even dominate the game. When America created baseball, the world took it and embraced it to the point that they also dominated, take the Puerto Ricans and Dominicans for example. Even when America created football, there was some resistance at first due to the physicality, but Europe and Asia both have adopted it to the point where the National Football League started a league in Europe and has even held regulation games in Mexico and preseason games in Japan and Britian, with a game being held in Beijing next season. When soccer was invented, America rejected it. This past World Cup, who i bet many American sports fans couldnt tell you who won, a poll was taken before the first American game. It asked, how will you watch the Americans play? The possible answers were: skip work, leave work early, theres a soccer game tomorrow? An astounding 82% of people polled basically said that they didnt care about the World Cup or soccer in general.
  10. Yeah catback, the coach is right. Oliver Springs=not good. What is this crazy talk of the best winless team in the state? Is there such a thing as a good team without a win? Thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard personally and ive had to put up with some crazy stuff from the country bumpkins on here before.
  11. Then please, for the sake of all our fellow CoachT posters, stop making it sound you like know EXACTLY how everything went down. The more you do this, the more you will sound like a fool. Ive seen your boyfriend play and he is a stud. If you make anymore comments like this though, your stud boyfriend might be in some trouble with Notre Dame. You can ask Joei Fiegler how the Louisville staff felt when the Daily Times printed that he had committed there......
  12. I would have to agree with bigmontana. If you believe in levels of high school football teams, then you have the top tier with Alcoa, Huntington, Milan, possible Chatt. Tyner. Then you have the second tier with the former 1A privates. THEN on the third tier i would put Loudon. If Loudon were to lose Hawkins, they would not be in the situation they are in. I have seen their backup, Campbell, and i wasnt impressed in the least. Alcoa will end Loudon's season tonight. Loudon had a real good run, but youll never know how good Loudon wouldve been this season becasue they had to drop down to 2A to win.
  13. close to being offered what Tom? a full scholarship, a partial scholarship, a spot on the team, the chance to hold the coach's water bottle? you truly must be kidding. im starting to believe that you are Joei Fiegler.
  14. This is a flat out joke. Listen, the fact of the matter is that the teams that CAK has played in and out of conference have better prepared them than the teams that South Greene has played. Period. If anyone thinks that South Greene is being underrated, and then picks them to win by 2 touchdowns? Then i think CAK is the team that is being underrated. Go back and look at coachlogan's post about statistical leaders in the KFL and see if that isnt the least bit impressive. CAK by 18
  15. see free. this is your problem. youre a rookie. you belong with the biggamers and the flossies of world of CoachT. If you knew anything, you would know that CoachLogan74 is a CAK supporter and has been one of the more consistent members of this site since the CAK football program originated. I have no problem with people on this site supporting their teams, but i do have a problem with someone who does more disrespecting of other teams. do your best to cheer on your team but DO NOT talk down to other people who are only doing the same, that just makes you a jerk and will cause no one to like you or to take your side.
  16. hm. shocking. seems like no one wants to talk to you.
  17. And you are a typical redneck. Dirty, uneducated, lazy and poor. Next time you collect your welfare, just remember that its because my parents work hard so that you can live off their paycheck and be able to provide dinner for your family.
  18. Heelsfan, Lay off the redneck. Its not Festus' fault that his parents couldnt afford to send him to a private school like us. Hey Festus, id like premium in my Land Rover please.
  19. can you think of a time in the last 5 years or so that Region 2 hasnt been the toughest? or at least a VERY close second behind Region 5.
  20. jeez Coach a little on the hasty side, but Christian, welcome to the very exclusive "YOU GOT OWNED" club.
  21. not the most awesome quote, this is "THIS IS NOT A PARK...........WHERE YOU SIT...........ON BENCHES.............AND EAT SANDWICHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" referring to some players who werent going full speed during practice.
  22. no offense at all Aggiefan, but give me a break, football is a game where luck rarely triumphs over skill and good strategy. all of the teams that were supposed to knock CAK out couldnt get the job done when it mattered. luck was hardly involved.CAK didnt drive 60+ yards and put the ball in the endzone against Coalfield with luck. CAK didnt score 21 points on Cloudlands defense in the second half on luck, while their defense held Byrd and Benfield to none. CAK didnt beat Midway with luck, hard nosed football is how they won. and CAK in no way shape or form beat Greenback with luck. But i will say that God may have been with CAK this whole time, but that isnt luck, its the grace of God, two completley different things.
  23. actually, CAK wasnt chanting SOR, they were chanting NOR(North of the River)
