  1. I haven't seen Bryan play, but I'll bet ya a Tennessee ham that Jeremy Cox from Anderson County beats him at the state meet.

5-1 is 5-1, let down or not.

Here's to really hoping that CoachLogan74 is of the female persuasion!
  4. Great win, avenging an earlier loss this season. Congrats to the Lady Red Raiders who are obviously playing some very good volleyball right now.

    CAK

Congrats to CAK on winning the regional golf tourney. I got to walk around a match last year and watched the group that Clint Suggs was in, and he is a fine golfer, and seemed to be a quality person, congrats to him as medalist at this years reg. meet.
  6. This guy can't really be from Lenoir City. I can't believe anyone is dumb enough to give Albert Harris this kind of motivation. If he wasn't ready before, he sure is now. The only fat person I see is LCPANTHERFAN after he gets done eating all that crow after the game on Friday night. Then you can call AH either MR. Harris, or Phat Albert!

    CAK

How can they have great potential to make it to state, when AC is a regional foe and just beat them 5-1?
  8. Robinhood, I agree that AC is playing alot better right now. CAK is scrappy, and will beat you if you don't play well. I just don't see AC not playing well again. Farragut and Karns also have a shot at the Northeast teams in AAA, but I would agree that the four schools you mentioned are better from what I've seen.
  9. Almost as great as HS volleyball, are it's true fans! Good post Rshu117. Keep cheering on your lady Owls. I too think they are great.
  10. Clinton is moving in the right direction for sure, and the Mavs might be a little down this year, but not much, and they are getting better. The game will be tighter than the score in this one; AC 35 Clinton 13, with a big Mav second half.
  11. In the words of the immortal Sgt. Hulka, "Lighten up Francis!". Nobody on here would even try to diminish the devastation of Ivan. People in the Gulf were decimated, people in Tennessee were rained on. In light of our being spared, this thread was started in a light hearted manner for the enjoyment of those who post here. Never to poke fun at others tradgedy, or even at their expense, simply to provide relief for those of us who worried about it's direct impact on us, and were spared it's full wrath. If you check history you'll find humor often has been an ally to people in times of fear. Don't take offence when none is intended.
  12. #3 It can't blow TGLJ's Stetson off, because those leather hat bands really stick to skin!

    AC at Loudon

OK so it's not a real sexy game when compared to AE v Fulton, but nobody has an opinion on this one?

    AC at Loudon

Last year AC won 35-14 at home, and I see it going about the same way this year. Two years ago at Loudon it was a pretty tight game, but the little QB, (Oote, or something like that) was all over the field, and really fast. He's gone, and so are Loudon's hopes in this one. Final: AC 28, Loudon 7
  15. Apu, Your post isn't any easier to read than your name!
  16. I know there's alot of talent still at AC, I just thought we were a year maybe two away from being really, really good. I saw kids step up and play older, and bigger than they are, so this year is fine with me.
  17. I don't understand what that means! One more time in english please, for those of us who are not bilingual.
  18. come on Jacketsfan, that dog can't eat here. That's like comin home with three of your classmates and sayin " look at my grade mom, they all got F minuses, aren't you proud of my F plus".
  19. I actually would put Oak Ridge at #1 in the state right now. Didn't OR and Maryville scrimmage this year?
  20. GO MAVS! We may be down at some skill positions a little this year, but good coaching and tradition goes along way. The Mavs will win this one in a squeeker!
  21. Wow, nobody from Sevier County on this board? I have no affiliation with them, but I think their stadium is top notch. The way it's built into the hillside, and when you walk inside the stadium and first see the field way down below is very impressive. From an atmosphere standpoint I love to go to AE. The AE people always treat you great win or lose, and the chicken wings are fantastic.
  22. My college coach once told me "The day I need a stop watch to tell me if a kid's fast or not is the day I quit coachin." He would watch them go through drills, not run in a straight line and tell you who was fast or not. He didn't miss on many.
  23. This horse has been beaten to death!
