  1. I'm going to go ahead and predict a win for RHS in this one. Heck , if they don't win, the boys across town (OHS and BHS) Wont ever let them forget about it. RHS 35 CPA 7
  2. It can't be first hand information if you heard it from someone else. Maybe you missed the lesson in literature on the first person point of view. I am not a fan of Smyrna, but you have something to say about every team in the whole state. I find it hard to believe that you witnessed special treatment on the Smyrna team when two players have said that their is none. Thank God your not saying things about Blackman. Also, it's not that uncommon for a parent to help coach. Chad Vinyard's dad was the kicking coach at Blackman part time. 3. Yeah Maryville had some great plays, but My point was that most people love an underdog.
  4. One of the Problems at Blackman are the parents. They should stop bashing the coaches and criticizing them for being too tough on the players, because football is a tough game and the coaches have to be hard on the boys so that they will win. Also, they should stop bashing the play calling. Sure, coaches will make some bad calls during every game, but it is up to the players to execute and make things happen, Both on good and questionable calls.Even the best make mistakes. It seems like all of the parents have forgotten the kind of progress that these coaches have made in a span of just three years! That kind of progress is unheared of. As a graduate and former player for BHS, I know this, and I also know what the community thought of us when the program started. I think I might even still have the first ever DNJ preseason article that called us a "Hanful of Misfits". The Blaze have gone from a handful of Misfits to a state contender in just three years, and that is admirable.  [Edited by Blazeman63 on 11-24-02 1:41A]
  5. What's the point Maryville? Aren't you guys a "tuition school"? Isn't that the reason why you guys are good year in and year out? Isn't that why Heritage always stinks? By the way, why did you not scrimage Riverdale during camp? Are you afraid they would hand you a 5a to 4a loss?Oh yeah one more thing.GO CLEVLAND !
  6. Who studies in High School! I made decent grades in high school without studing a whole lot. Now im in college and found out what it is to study.
  7. Well pal, in order to go to the playoffs, you have to do a little thing we like to call wining more than 4 games per season. Eight wins in two seasons does not give you room to talk trash. Why don't you get on another message board and complain about your coaching situation a little more. Go Blaze!
  8. people should drop their pre concieved notions of what BHS is and get their facts straight. The fact is that BHS students have great school spirit,as do the faculty. The fact is that the faculty wanted people to come out and support Blackman instead of going to watch those other two schools. Finally, the fact is that the faculty and coaches at Blackman didn't have to threaten the students to make that so.
  9. Zach Gilliam of Blackman for the linemen mr. Football. Of course, I am biased.
  10. Way to go fellas! Great win tonight. [Edited by Blazeman63 on 10-17-02 10:41P]
  11. It doesn't help when ya'll are blabbing about it on the internet. It can't stay to quiet if you guys want to talk about it like this.
  12. as long as things are how they are, the boro will not have open enrollment. That defeats the purpose of building another school. If most of the kids in the town decide to go to one school, and leave another virtually empty, then there is a problem. It also opens the door for a certain high school football coach in the boro to do all the recruiting he wants.

    Drug testing

Is there a rule that coaches have to drug test now? Can you guys fill me in, because I have been away for a few days.
  15. I know that the stuff you said about Hendersonville is refs being fair isn't true, because my freshman year of high school we were cheated by many questionable calls in a freshman football game. The roughing the kicker call in the blackman game was one of the many blatant bad calls in that game. And if you put in the second string, then all of the starters must have been second stringers.
  16. Im sure Hendersonville rings a bell with most teams in Regions 4 and 5 in 5a. The team runs a wing-t, the H-ville fans are usually out in full force, and the referees mine as well go and put on a yellow and black commando jersey. I'm sure Gallatin would have had a much better chance in the playoffs if they had played the game at Gallatin High School. [Edited by Blazeman63 on 7/12/02 5:43P]
