  1. I don't think Harriman can compete if Jones plays ,simply because all Sequoyah has to do is throw the ball up and he can go get it. As far as depth thats in the favor of Sequoyah to.,but misdirectyons won't throw Harriman off that much they are way faster than Seqouyah but I think the game comes down to PLAYMAKERS. Who want it the most. And I hate to say it but Harriman got a taste of winning the is summer and I think they LIKE it. Harriman:28 sequoyah: 21
  2. I think Alcoa can take anyone in 2A and maybe even go to the ship'..It will be a hard road but as long as they stay healthy, play as a team and don't overlook anybody they can do it. True it will be hard getting past those Monsters from Lipscomb but it can be done.I don't know much about Goodpasture but I know they always have a GOOD team....as far as Tyner goes they are very undersized and don't have the skill position athletes like they normally have but they will still battle from Kick-off until its 0:00 on the clock in the 4th.
  3. The Kingston scrimmage schedule is : 8/6 Bearden at Kingston ..5:00 8/13 Tyner at Kingston..? 8/20 Kingston at Knox. West..?
  4. Don't know the time but I do know it is at Kingston I'd say around 6:00 or 7
  5. Yes Last year we had alot of Seniors and this year we have quite a few but out of those 10 maybe 4 or 5 play and the others gave the other seniors(that were good) got a good amount of playing time when the coach felt that it was time to put him in. In Kingston there is no such thing as upperclassmen to a degree. If you have the talent and the determination to play the position then you get the job. Whether you keep it or not is totally up to the player and how he performs week by week. I think we may have 7 seniors. 9 at the most....Know this the Yellow Jackets are young, determined, but most of all Solid. We don't like 4-6 seasons and were out for revenge. ITS KINGSTON TRADITION
  6. How many players are returning to Scott? And do they have the talent or skill to play at Region level....Do they still have that big FB i heard about last year if so has he gotten better or laid off this summer.
  7. What would Happen to the Roane County teams..I know Harriman and Rockwood would move to 1A but what would happen to Kingston who is 1 of the smallest 3A schools in the state with only 750 students
  8. I think Seymour will be at the top of region 1. I think Region 2 will be: 1.AE 2.Fulton 3.Kingston 4.AC 5.Scott 6.LC 7.Loudon 8. Gibbs Don't know bout 3 & 4
  9. I hate to hear about Harriman.Them boys don't deserve the beating they get sometime but when a team continues to have a losing season year after year that means there is no discipline. Maybe if the coach tightens things up CHANGE THE PLAYBOOK and use his skill players in the right spots then they might win some games. I say they either win or lose close at Seqouyah,Maybe beat Wartburg and win a Union County. The rest of the games I think will be like like the last 3 years Winless unless they are overlooked by another team.
  10. I think Kingston will be better than last years team. Last years team was 2 different teams they came to play on some days and on some days they didn't.It will be different this year. The team has alot of heart and determination .They are a young team filled with juniors and sophmores that are ready to step-up and be a playmaker on and off the field. Rooster, Johnson is not just a powerful back he has lost about 15-20 pounds and has gotten faster this year but he still has the power to run through about anyone on the opposing team. But like u said wel will see what happens in week 3. Its Kingston first home game and I think the Tigers will be turneds into Kitty Cats when they come to "The Hive" this year.
  11. Well I really don't know what rockwood will have but when I talked to their players I heard that they will rely on their backfield. They also told me that their line is not as big as last years and their young. I think rockwood will come up just a little bit short in close games this year but I expect them to finish 3rd in their region.
  12. Kingbrian, I have a friend at work whose nephew is looking for a team to play on. He won the MVP on last year's middle school championship team for HMS. Do you still need players?
  13. Haven't seen anything posted in a couple of days and was just wondering about Chad's condition. We've all been praying for him and would appreciate an update.
  14. I've said it before and I'll say it again, If Harriman can get a win under their belt, I think their confidence in each other as a team is boosted and the revival begins. A team effort could get them that much needed win this Friday. Go get em Blue!
  15. Nobody wants to give us any respect. It's always a "bad" call that changed the outcome. I was at the game and I didn't see any bad calls on either side of the ball. As I said before our guys are on fire and as long as every player gives that team effort, as reflected the past couple of weeks, I think we can play head to head with anyone in the region. Just wish we had been playing this way all season, we would be 8-0.

I was at a little league game in OR saturday and 1 of the OR Boosters said that Booker had a really bad bruise but should be ready for Friday nite. He is very involved in OR Football so I think he knows what he is talking about.
  17. Another team effort like Friday against Loudon and we get the upset. Go Jackets!!!!!

    Loudon vs. Kingston

Should be quite a matchup because Kingston also has a great kicker in Drew McMillin. Gotta go with my Jackets 17-14.

    Loudon vs. Kingston

I think it serves our team better to just let that subject go. Sorry pal, maybe you can find out somewhere else besides here.

    Loudon vs. Kingston

Patriot you said something right - now take heart to it.....PARENTS let it go. From where I sit you guys are the ones that keep stirring the pot. It is very obvious from the way they played Friday night that the boys have moved on. Let the coaches coach and let the players play and stop trying to live a dream through your children. Keep up the good work guys. Great game last week now let's do it again. I say Jackets by 7.

All this talk about who should play sr or soph......get a grip people. It doesn't matter what grade a kid is the only thing that matters is when they are on the field that they play as a team. We finally saw that at AC. I personally know Chad's mother and she could care less if he runs the ball 4 times or 40 times a game as long as it benefits the team. Chad is only a sophmore and plays a lot but so are Lee Johnson, Mitch Brown and several other key players. But the point is he is a team player who gives 100% and so do the rest of the sophmores that I mentioned. And this my friend is what matters. If you don't give 100% then you don't need to be on the field no matter what grade you are in. And before you get upset I'm not saying that the Sr's don't give 100% I'm just saying that I know these guys do. Yes, his father made a bad decision approaching the coach, but let's not keep beating a dead horse. Let's get out there and support our team and respect the coaches decisions, good or bad. Kingston - 28 LC - 14
  22. Stop crying. Buddy I could care less who wins the AC/Fulton game. All I am saying is that some very bad calls were made. So maybe AC was on a bad night. They're kids and entitled to play bad some time. Guess what we know that at Kingston, we've experienced it ourselves. 3 weeks in a row to be exact. You can think that we have no talent if thats what makes you happy, but from where I'm sitting I know that every player and parent of a player on that team will tell you that we are no joke. And the 14 point thing, I guess that goes both ways, because EVERYONE knows that when you come to AC what to expect.

I can also say personally that Johnson was not at practice because he was sick. He is a team player and gives 100% at practice and at the games. I don't know where you were at Friday but it was obviously not at the AC game. Mounsey played on both sides of the ball as well as Johnson. And the 1 yard thing, what about the 37 yard TD. Yes, Johnson's dad did have a problem with the coach after the Rockwood game and acted in a very unusual manner, but his son is a class act and is a team player. You don't have to take my word, ask the players and coaches. Thank God that they see Chad for the person and player that he is and don't hold him responsible for the unclassy actions of his father. If you don't know first hand what is going on with the team or if you have a problem with what is going on, then I suggest you keep your mouth shut.
  24. You're definitely right about having to fight to win at AC. The Kingston touchdown that was called back for a "hold" was bologna. The official couldn't even give the coach the number of the kid that was supposed to have made the infraction.
  25. McMillan (1), Johnson (34) and Miller (21) from Kingston.
