Note to Camden seniors: You defeated them in 03, and you won in 04 and 05, as the black and gold spilled over into the blue and white seating area both years. You know what you need to do as seniors, and we know you will not let us down. And we will pack the home field to show you who we want to win the battle of the bridge one more time.
My hat is off to Stewart Co. for being a program on the rise. Richland might have won but they don't even resemble the team that played C'town in the playoffs last fall.
I am not from East or Middle Tennessee but I think a lot of people "up in there" are overlooking Smith Co. and Tyner. I think they will both make some noise in the playoffs. Alcoa is not the only dog in the show.
I just think the more teams in the hunt for 3rd and 4th, the better the playoff picture. I'm glad it's not cut and dried in region 6 this year. Last year it was pretty well LC, Ctown, and Riverside with only the 4th slot open. Two open slots are better than one, don't you think?
Ward - Camden Central. Don't look boys but his winning percentage is already passing some of the old masters around 1A-2A. And he's young yet. I think he is about 21 or 22.
You might be right RNTiger. I think the region will go down like this after the top two teams. Waverly 3rd, Richland/Stewart Co. winner 4th. Before the season I picked Wavo 4th. I'm a little disappointed in Riverside but they have been hurt badly by injuries. My point is that this is a HUGE week for the Dover boys.
Stewart wins and arrives in the playoff hunt for the first time since leather helmets. Coach Holladay gets coach of the year if Stewart Co. makes playoffs. Go Rebs!
Waverly is looking good this year. I look for Tiger High to go 7-3 and lose the first round of the playoffs on the road. That is still an improvement, and I hope the community gets out and supports them all the way.
I just have this to say: Neon Leon all the way. The biggest little man on campus. Juke bug jukie. Scat the jitter man. And all that. Keep up the good work Leon! Minnesota's gonna wish they hadn't let you leave.
Scoring as follows: Da Moose-1, Lil Man Boyd-1, Neon Leon-1, Hudson-2, Spenster-1, The Freshmen 1, the defensive line-1, the linebackers-1, Stewart Co.-1. Final score: 63-6 with an early exit to Craig's Pizza.
