As a mother of one of the players I can surely tell you this is not the case. There are many boys on the football team that play baseball and basketball. Shillings is the baseball coach and defensive football coach and helps with basketball now. Ruffner is coach to basketball and baseball. These coaches work together with Coach Moser to impliment good training programs for carry over to other sports. My son plays all 3 and all of this is taken into consideration when training.

I admit Harriman actually is playing some football this year. But not ready to compete with Midway's talent. Rockwood was a fluke. They found our week spot. No quarterback.. They won't let that happen again. When Woody went out we had no Qb ready to step in. O'toole was already out. Now we are much deeper in all positions. I wonder what would have happened at Rockwood this year at full strength. I say Midway.... By the way Midway won last night 12 to 10@ Oliver Springs even though they took a shot at taking out our QB spencer myers during one of his awesome punts, they were willing to take the huge penalty and give us a first down with no QB ,,,,, it didn't work Bredwell was prepared. Dirty try though... This was a good hard Defensive game. Good Job D line Midway you kicked Butt. Spence you look like you've done this all your life.... Now we have #3 awesome QB's. Way to Go Midway!!!!!!!!!! Vanderbilt here we come...................

thumb I was very proud to see how well the waves played against Sweetwater's varsity. I still think they need some work. All cylinders aren't quite clicking yet. They are almost there though. These coaches are working them hard and like you said seeing what works and what don't. I believe they will be complete by the time region games kick in, but hopefully injuries won't hamper their early games. This group has alot of grit and determination so look for a closer game with Rockwood this year. Could go either way. Good Luck Waves! Midway has one senior.......................... most are sophomores a few juniors.. They'll come around. Having a hard time with pitchers control. The bats are coming alive though..............

Coach of the Year should be not only someone that can come and make a team out of whatever he is handed as coach Moser does year after year, without scouting as some teams do. But he actually seems to be able to get even the most unlikely candidates to play hard and with class and dignity. Many games he could have really run up the score on several teams but show great class and dignity by not doing so. This to me shows True character for Coach of the Year. He takes a group of boys that normally would never spend time together and makes them a team and football family so to speak. Stresses good grades and good behavior. Go Hard or GO home!!!!!!!!!!! Go greenwaves!!!!!!!!!!!!! True Class Act!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jude O'toole,QB LB is a junior and so is the center, DT Steven Stansbury There are many excellent returnies from Midway next year that don't get the recognition they deserve Zack Moore Brock King Spencer Myers Brian Nolan just to name a few but there are many more these are just a few returning seniors that shine in every game and work hard for the team Football is a team sport and not one would shine without the work of the others. Here are the enrollment figures on the TSSAA website. Oakdale 159 Sunbright 181 Coalfield 194 Midway 245 CAK 249 Greenback 255 Oneida 359 It seems like Onieda needs to move on up then. I believe the schools should at least be within 100 of each other. What is Harriman"s ? Meig's Co.? Kingston"s? Oakdale has it hard. Many students don't want to bother anymore. It's hard work playing both sides of the ball every down. Good Luck Oakdale!

Midway had 9 of their key players injured or sick with the flu, it was a bad trip and day. No excuses Watertown came to play and play they did. They were and are a good team and won because they prepared and played better than our boys did. Our Boys played hard but, As it is with any team the one that executes their game plan wins. Our boys could not execute this night. Now its time to move on to the next game and GOOD LUCK GREENWAVES!!!!!!! Just remember all these young boys work hard in high school football and you win some and lose some....Good Luck to all and may God keep you safe from injury.. Have fun and play hard!!!!!!!!!

Yes I have to agree that sam stansbury is an awesome sophomore football player but he plays linebacker and Jeremy Woody is also an awesome player. Lets not forget Kelvin Sargent. He's a lineman.................................GO BIG GREEN!!!!!!!!! I agree Kingston has been their own worst enemy. Too bad really. QB position needs alot of work. the boys arnt meshing together at all. This is a team with alot of talent but lets use them right. QB needs to be a team leader with confidence. Someone these guys trust and look up to. Step it up QB you can do it. Who cares who their parents are or arn't. Play ball Kingston!!!!! Leave the politics off the darn field. You've got the coaches now let them coach! Parents sit down and shut up and cheer your boys on. I've never heard so much griping before. All through town, everywhere I went. This parent mad that parent mad." My little Johnny isnt playing". Not the real name by the way. Kingston needs to have excellent OL blocking to have a running game this week. OS is strong in defending up the middle. Short passes and utilize the clock. Quick fast short gainers to wear down the OS defence. L sets ,3 in the backfield. If Kingston can find the glue this week to hold them together, Kingston 24- OS 21. IF NOT "OZ" 30- Kingston 17..
