yes we should have ran the clock out, but you wont understand what i am about to say unless you are a db fan or parent with a young man on this team. our stupid coaching caused this horrible playcalling at end of half,rather than run clock out and know we r getting it right back n 3rd q, instead our ignorant offensive cordinator called these next crucial plays and we were doomed after that, everyone knows it and we had alcoa on there heels which also you know it, we would have scored n 3rdq guranteed without a doubt, but playcalling killed that and our qb should have not been told to pass ball. I know those r harsh words against our coaching staff but this terrible playcalling is every game week after week and we as parents of db football players cant understand how they are not held accountable for this type of coaching,they are getting away with it. Alcoa capitalized on turnover and we all know what happened rest of game,and congrats to alcoa for dominating rest of game, we had u in a bad spot just like last year and once again like last year conservative playcalling comes back to stop our boys from getting control of game to our own playcalling dooming us. we were not suppose to play that well tnite against alcoa but we did and very well until pcalling reared its ugly head and dont think for a minute our boys dont know whats going own, they r disgusted with it. and then you coaches have enough nerrve to yell at our boys on sidelines and blame them and tell them they will b running laps come monday there r several of you coaches including offensive cordinator should b looking for a different career come monday. you cost us a chance of upsetting top team in state again when that first year off cordinator started his stupid pcalling again tonight. for anyone that reads and thinks this quote was harsh and it is if you were in our positions from last year to this you would only undersdtand and if not dont really care. i gurantee rest of year our team will play well and possibly have chance to go to playoffs and beyond our team deserves it so get your head out of your rump and give our guys a chance with 6A HIGH SCHOOL COACHING LIKE THEY DESERVE because you were trusted with these positions and a lot of us are not happy with some of you so get it right,

im also going with db playing a good game against alcoa. if it wasnt for the conservative playcalling last year we would have beaten alcoa and should have beaten that bradley central team that we were kicking their ---sses until once again conservative playcalling killed by u know who and that terrible call against us when we had alcoa beat, So my son plays for db and he will do his part i just hope everybody else will, dont know why everyone is so frightened of alcoa they still have to stop our offense our running gameas well. i know first two games were terrible but we are playing a whole lot better now and dont give a crap what u scaredy cats are saying you are going on speculation that they are unbeatable we had them last year beat on 4th and 8 and that sorry ref made a phathom they got 1st down and scored but if not for call we had them.I know uor defense is suspect but its plAYING Absolutely better and we have players on offense as good as theres other than possibly recievers so i cant wait till we meet them next week and you scaredy cats go hang out with your momma.

Well to start with i dont know where to begin to try and explain where some of the problems we are having with our db football team. I would hope the coaches and staff at db would really understand we as parents are behind them all the way and would do anything to help with this team because our boys are who the coaches spend a lot of their times with. I know some of these coaches and they are great guys and we are pulling for them, so to show you where i am going with this is we have a good football team,and a player or two injured or coming back and if you know and have watched we have some really good players. I know our defense is not where we need to be, it did play a little better the second game,but it needs massive help from the offense,and the offense can do it, and i meen the offense can do it if the coaches would just at least listen to what his players are seeing, what they are expecting to happen, our QB is as good as any in the area period , and we know he is not the fastest running QB, but i would put him up there over anyone as a pocket passer period. I know this young man and have watched him grow over the years and he is as telligent and smarter,than what you could have at that position. His desire and work ethic over the years has allowed him to be a good qb and have no doubt will play at the next level. Its unfortunate this year we do not have the luxury of a good receiving corp but we can and do have enough to get by with if you would let him the QB run the ----am offense. he can do it, yes i know the offensive c is in charge but something is not clicking from off cord to off team. can we please let L w run the offense the way he knows and can and you sit back and chill for a series. I understand the coaches r in charge but we have a qb that can run this offense and we have the o line to do the job. we have 3 lineman over 300 plus and believe r preety good. RT gets a lot of credit of being a good lineman and he should, and also ur center has played very well from last year and up to now and never here anything about how well he does,and also the no 59 kid lineman does agood job as well as the other 2 lineman so why n the world would u not run the ball behind them, and if the defense stacks the line im sure LD (QB) can figure it out. He and our seniors , juniors whoever have been growing,learning, and also winning since lynn garden days .we have a great running back in hicks as tough as they come and if we get back keo we can be that much better. the bristol kid in thought was going to b slot receiver why is he not there every play on offense i only see him on kickoff returns.we have some backup running that r preety good i hear. why is our offense not scoring coaches,we have 7 or 8 starters on offense from last year. i know we dont have the receivers we had from last year and also lost dawson ,d cristian, and buckles from the o line, but our oline is still good enough, with the recievers to get by with. the big tight end we have that was so hyped up by coaches or whoever of having a great season r you going to throw him the ball, nick bristol we need to utilize his speed on offense catching the ball. c.jenkins, harkleroad, c williams, proved they can catch ball and did have good performances fri night and maupin kid is going to be great asset to team in coming weeks with his return and also with keo lets help this young man i know he has had issues but lets help this young man get back on track, the way he played last year if we could get that from him our offense could be really good, and with all this said lets mix it up,let QB have more freedom,let him make some of the decisions out there,he trusts his oline,rbacks,recievers, they have played together for years. I know our defense is notnwhere it needs to be but help it ,we have some talent in secondary, we need help at linebacker and dline. hello defensive cordinator our dline is very small teams r running all over us,and you r putting salyers kid out there to help on dline and thats fine, but you also have n.davis that can help and did a great job last year on dline ,play them together on dline , put other big offensive lineman out there to help on the defensive line.you have the guys to put out there to help defensive line what r u waiting for. put starke, whechel, patton kids out there to help with dline. Our son played with starke fellow on defense from peewee through middle school and now and why in the world would you not use him on defense at times. to our current defensive unit you guys keep battling and playing and coaches they need help now so help them with putting more and bigger players out there because we have them. we all know our kids are making mistakes in the games and practices and we all can do better and no doubt will, and also coaches we know that every thing I and we say you guys allready know, you dont need us trying to help you coach the team, we still have games to play and can get better so players pick it up lets do better in practice and games and coaches lets lift our players up in practice and games lets not berate during practice, thats not going to work, and lets communicate better, im sure nobody wants to here what might seem some negativity but it needs to be said , most of it is truth but lets get to work. wwwwwwwooooooowwwww

yes, yes, yes, from the way it looks it could be a disappointing season, but lets put this behind us and prepare for next week. I have a friend that has a son on the team and he is a senior and he has the ability to play at the next level providing no major injuries, and continued good grades. But what we all saw last night was that greenville has an awesome team, but i also know that we played so horrible it made them look even better. From watching and hearing throughout the evening our playcalling was unsure and even a normal fan that knows very little about football could tell our players on offense were not happy about how the plays were being sent to them. the constant looking at sidelines on every play and waiting to the last second to hike the ball every time. all you r doing is giving the defense enough time to catch their breathe and they r ready for the play and we r still unsure what to do.i know our defense is a major concern, but also know we have same offensive players from last year and a offensive line thats right behind last years so scoring should be no problem.if our playcalling from offense cant fix problem before next weeks game what is going to b done. if you are unsure on the playcalling at this level what r you doing here. if the players dont do their job or perform at their best at the positions they play we know the bench is where they will be. as fans and maybe as parents of players on team players are expected to give their best and so should the coaches.

Malik not going to get Mr Football. Have you not seen stats from guy from Siegel and some of the others. Didn't know the goal was to get Malik 8 TDs a game. Lots of good players. No your not positive. Have you ever comipared the DB coaches to some schools we play. Wow some time doesn't seem real. SH may win Fri but if you look year in and year out at DB and SH warm up I see much more size and over all athletisism for SH. However DB has somehow won 19 straight. Did you play on the 90 team.

Indian'91. Man u need to be a little more positive. It's people like you that start this every year. Yes there has been issues in playoffs, but each year is new year. One game the Tribe looks sluggish and you think negative. Also, Volunteer was smart in making the game ugly. Milked the clock every play and ran the ball the majority of the time. Tennessee High threw the ball bout every play and went no huddle. Also, they threw the ball to DB quiet a bit.

Art, that would be great if you would't buy yours, because I know your seats are really good. Waco, hope they don't monitor the computers at Fairway Ford, because if they did, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have a job. DBFAN4Life, Don't go back to watch practice next year. Maybe you can go watch South or S. Hill practice. If DB was running 4 wides a bunch in practice, then they were out of their element. They averaged throwing about 8 to 10 a game for the year. The problem is that they don't have to throw against the teams the smoke.

I have not read everyone's post but just a few. This thread would have been started tonight instead of last Friday either way. We(DB) do not have the personal to beat the Maryville's and Riverdale's. I'm curious of how many of you so called DB fans have played or coached competitive football past the Boys Club or PlayStation. You get behind a keyboard and a computer screen and bash away at Coaches. I know many of the parents that have children that play on this team and sure they were blaming the coaches, and YES they were also blaming the kids as well. I did not see coach Clark out there almost snapping the ball over the punters head. I did not see Coach Clark out there missing a block to get that punt blocked. I did not see Coach Clark out there fumble that football late in the game inside the 20 yard line when DB had a chance to put that game away. I did not see any coaches out there take bad angles and let that kid return a punt all the way back down to the 10 yard line. Sure the coaches should take accountability, but the players should take some accountability as well. The coaches put these kids in the best possible position to be successful. That is all they can do, the players have to execute. Yes, Coach Clark should have been a little more aggressive but he didn't. But the players should have executed better in the second half. You have to give some credit to the Sevier Co players and coaches. Just because we smoke everybody throughout the season doesn't mean were just going to cruise to the State championship. Again We don't have the personal to beat the Maryville's, yes we could compete and yeah in a one game scenario anything can happen. Tell me who is going to do a better job than what this coaching staff has done. Coaches can only do so much, some of the responsiblity has to fall on the players. It is what it is people. Graham Clark is not leaving until he is ready to go. ';
