I wasnt aware Hart was out. What happened to him? That is a big loss considering he was an all-region linebacker last year even in the shadow of Doodle Bivens. I think this will be one of the hardest hitting games of the year.Cant wait.

Soddy was deemed overrated after starting 0-2 but those losses seem much more reasonable now seeing what Red Bank and William Blount have done. Soddy has dominated this series recently but Hixson has a solid team and more players with talent at the skill positions than Soddy. Soddy has an enormous O and D line so it should be a great game. It's going to be televised by CSS and hopefully will be a packed stadium.

Central is not a bad football team. They have talent all around the field but seem to get down easily. If they get their heads on straight they may have an upset or two this year. I think making the playoffs is a stretch but if they play inspired they could beat a down cleveland team or rhea and i dont even consider beating brainerd or walker valley an upset so they could pull out 3 region wins. #1 is a very good DE and Meadows is very shifty at QB. Patton is a strong runner and good LB but they just dont seem to play inspired. They were pumped for homecoming but after Hixsons double pass with time expiring in the 1st half they didnt look ready to play anymore.

If Hixson only scores 1 TD i will never post on this site again. They scored more than that against Notre Dame who has a great defense and Central has allowed 99 points in its last 2 outings.

What has White County done to be talking about a 9-1 season?? They had a mediocre season last year and lost their season opener after yall were saying an undefeated season was on the way. If they beat Cleveland it will be a solid win but they still have to beat fast Red Bank and Hixson teams and a aerial superior Rhea County team that has the capability to have Caleb Wilson pick people apart.

Can you even name a Rhea County player that has been removed from the team?

We will see how good he is in 2 weeks when they play Cleveland in a huge region showdown.. Im not going to believe they hype until i see the results in that game because everyone is Sparta was swearing on an undefeated season and they lost the opener. I'm sure he is a great, bruising running back but the Cleveland game will show a lot.

There was one upset in the first week of region play in Hixson beating Rhea County. Cleveland almost slipped up against Brainerd again but pulled it out. I dont believe there's any region games next week so as of now the standings and next region games are Red Bank 1-0 At Walker Valley Cleveland 1-0 vs White Co. Hixson 1-0 at Central White Co. 1-0 at Cleveland Central 0-1 vs Hixson Brainerd 0-1 at Rhea County Rhea Co. 0-1 vs Brainerd Walker V 0-1 vs. Red Bank Cleveland and White County will clearly be the game of the week in the region. Both expect to win the region and both could. Red Bank looks like the cream of the region so far and Hixson has showed they can compete also. It's early and everyone knows this region is crazy so anything can happen.

If i had to pick the 5 most important region games this year that will shape the regions playoff picture this would be in that top 5. This game is HUGE for both teams..Losing Hammontree hurts Rhea becuase he was a big target who was most likely going to have a breakout year. I think losing him evens the field a little bit in this game.. Rhea,Cleveland,Red Bank,Hixson, and White County all expect to make the playoffs...not hope to but expect to so someone will be left out and the winner of this game will take a BIG step in getting there

This is amazing to me. Red Bank lost to Austin East who is one of the top 5 3A teams in the state and then beat a VERY solid Soddy Team...Central was blown away by Baylor and barely beat a McMinn team who was 3-7 last year ...Red Bank by 3 or 4 TD's....Central may not score

This is one of the cities most even match-ups for the week..It was the only game in the Times Free Press that was picked 5-4 by the writers in Hixsons favor. Out of the 20 regular season games the two teams played last year only one loss was by more than 15 points and that was Knox Catholics 42-7 win over ND but ND went on to beat them in the playoffs...It should be a good, close, low-scoring game

I checked my Murphy Fair magazine and saw Hixson put up 47 points against Central..I was suprised because the way yall were talking about Hayes was all over the field against them I was expecting a low number but 47 points!? he must have made every tackled 25 yards down field

An undefeated season??? Wow thats quite a statement....The speed White County will be introduced to in this region will blow them away...Cleveland always has a speedy tailback,Rheas receivers can burn them deep and Red Bank and Hixson are notorious for their speed...If White County goes undefeated i'll never post on here again

How do yall think everyone looked?...Strengths-Weaknesses?...Ooltewah was obviously the best team there but I thought Hixson looked good and East Ridge struggled at times but is a talented 3A team ..

The only thing thats a guaruntee in 4-4A is that it will be unpredictable yet again. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more complex region than this one. The worst team can beat the best on any given night but that may all change with East Ridge leaving and Walker Valley and White County joining. I know most returning 4-4A teams were hit hard by graduation, but thats pretty common in high school football i suppose.
