I think the only shot yall have at being good will be determined by coach woods. Yall dont really have much tallent anymore except at running backs....but i dont think yall will make it past the 2nd round of playoffs if that. Im not just saying this because im a rebel fan, im speaking my opinion. Yall did beat us fair and square, no excuses. Yall we good last year. Merely good. How you think you will be good losing pretty much your whole team? Just stating the facts. i have nothing against morristown west. i respect them and coach woods almost as much as any other school. If coach woods continues in the direction hes going, i think morristown will bring home a few gold balls....if they can get past maryville. If coaching is all yall got, how u think u will beat us this year? Our coaching is unstopable. Try and get past quarles just try lol good luck at doing so.

AMEN REBELRON. I can really talk some trash as a rebel fan...any rebel fan could because look at what we have done. (im waiting on some "you got lucky" comments on that one) But the fact is Mo-west did beat us last year. They beat us fair and square. A win is a win. The refs were not bad at all. The field was muddy..but it was for Mo-town too. I know this doesnt seem like a true rebel fan. But Mo-town did deserve to beat us. They came ready to play and we came with our heads up our butt. No disrespect to certain players (you will figure them out) but your star QB's cant throw 3 and 4 interceptions and your wr's cant drop screen passes and expect to win. But it kinda shows how mo-town was overrated. We had over 7 turnovers and they still managed to score only 14...and also let us make a big comeback. Not saying mo-town was bad or anything.....anyone that can hang with maryville like they did is good. **Now for the trash** I honestly think we would have taken hillsboro in state....or at least made it a game. I fell asleep watching the game because of how bad it was. I also will make anyone a 100% guarantee that maryville will come out and beat the pants off of mo-town this year. Its a way different ball game this year fellas. Your 10 starters are gone....i am willing to bet that even if those starters stayed...maryville would want it bad enough to beat em...good. Good luck to Morristown this year. However, i expect them to be sorta like heritage was last year. (lol that was an exaggeration. no one can be that bad) But i really think maryville will just plain run through mo-town. That is all i hear the football players saying in the halls. This is simple: 1. George Quarles 2. David Ellis 3. Jimmy Gaylor 4. Coach White 5. Coach Humphrey All of these coaches could be a head coach of any of your picks and totally take your team to the boro (except past maryville) I look on here and see George Quarles is not on your list. 3 gold balls in a row. 41 game streak. I dont understand how he cannot be on a top 5 list after accomplishing this. Im willing to bet anyone in tennesse that none of these coaches will ever come close to Quarles' accomplishments. When they do come tell me. (that is if im not dead by then) And trust me....hes not even close to being done, hes like 35. Quarles hasnt had outstanding tallent at all (except 98) but quarles has led them all the way. The 2002 State Championship game was all Quarles. WHat a play he put together. Put quarles at the top or you are stupid.

MARYVILLE WILL KILL ALCOA....I think it will be uglier than last year. Maryville has never really had talent but "GOD" or i mean Coach Quarles kills every team with his coaching. Like last year, everyone is predicting maryville to be weaker. I think its crap. The whole Offensive Line is returning. We will be amazing at running back. Tallent ran all over alcoas "incredible line" last year. He will be humiliating alcoa for the next 2 years. I will love you see them get byner though. lol The only black guy we got on offense besides tank. Oh and you will also have trouble stopping tank as well. The kid will be amazing by his senior year...he is incredible as a freshman. Also maryvilles 3 year starting QB, Cade Thompson. Good luck to alcoas secondary on stopping him. Andrew Clement, Kirk Harris, Tyler Maples, etc. will chew up recieving yards. Dave Garner, a starter injured last year, will have fun reading the prep extra interception leaders. As for defense, we are set. Valentine is huge. I play on the baseball team with him and he is just plain getting fat. He eats so much after practice. He might have to move to line (according to quarles) if he doesnt stop eating. John Lawhon will be a stud olb trust me. Parnell will play some LB this season as well. And the STUD of all STUDS this year will be jeffery smith. Other teams will pray that when jeffery smith runs over the OL that he doesnt reach their QB. Season for them will be over after that. One thing that i think should happen is move Justin Voto to LB and bring up Justin Huskey at DE. Cable, Smith, and maybe Valentine.....great DT. Overall, i expect an undefeated season if not only 1 loss. As for the future, i say 2 or 3 more gold balls in 4 years. Sophmore and freshman class are incredible. I bet all the 4a schools cant wait till we move up to 5a. And i know this might bring some contrevoursey (sp?) but i will say after maryvilles 1st 5a season...5a will want us back down in 4a

My family cancelled its thanksgiving plans for the game. The rest of my realatives live in Alabama. But we decided to stay for the game.

Even though Maryville and Alcoa have about the biggest rivalry in the state of tennesee, I want all of you Alcoa fans to know that myself and other Maryville fans want yall to win state. It will be nice to see 2 east tenn. teams bring home a title, when everyone is saying that East Tenn. football is not as good as west. Well with Rouse getting hurt in the scrimage, it didnt effect us at all. Cade came in there and led Maryville to another title. You people are so scared your teams are gonna get hurt in the scrimage, dont you have any back-up players like maryville did last year?

fayfay05, I am sorry to say that what you heard was way off. Andrew Hodge is probably the healthiest on the team right now, he has practiced all week. Neither Cade nor Alex have been sick in any way this week. Dee Arrington has no injuries either and has ben practicing all week. Matt Valentine rolled his ankle at the Rhea Co. game, and wanted to play in the Chatt. Central game but George Quarles wouldnt let him. He has also practiced all week. I dont know about Winkle. The only part you got right was Dave Garner and Matt Garner.

Maryville by 2 touchdowns. Maryville will have home advantage. Central will either play worse or better because coach Helton is gone. Rouse will be there for this one (although we can win easily without him) Maryville is hot right now and they are gonna be so pumped by friday. We are having a huge pep-rally on friday. This will be the best game of the week though. Maryville will start off really hard, and stay that way for the whole game.

Well they did put a pretty good whipin on us for the first three quarters. And they played tremendously. I am a die-hard rebels fan, but i have to say they were more prepared than us. I agree 100%. The fans seemed so dead compared to what they usually sound like. I think the cold probably got to them, but it will be cold throughout the rest of the play-offs so they better get past the weather.
