I keep hearing the one they recruited from Halls will probably start next year, I don't think I need to use any names. Central Bobcat

First of all congratulations to Dave Thomas, he is most deserving of this award. I don't understand though how you can not make Spencer Gulmire a finalist for this award. Again I am taking nothing away from the winner or the other candidates. Just puzzzled as to how such an outstanding person and football player such as Spencer is could not even make the final list. Wildcats, congratulations on another great season,certainly a great achievement to reach the semis again and with predominately a junior team. I was at the Riverdale game with some Oak Ridge buddies and you all made all of East Tn. proud. A play here or there and you guys win that game especially that lucky break they got on the ball that #9 fumbled up in the air and their wide out caught it in mid air and took it to the house, that was a killer and pure luck on their part. Look forward to seeing you guys play next year,I've heard a lot about a good looking sophmore QB you guys have coming up that should make it very exciting with all the junior talent moving up. As much as I love the Bobcats,the tradition, and pride you guys have and take with you everywhere you go is second to none in this state.Many think they are your equals but few can compare. Yo RoadRunner, remember you did not play Riverdale you played Fulton a very good team, but if you had played Riverdale, Oak Ridge, or Central you would have lost by 107 or more, so I would not be to proud when you compare it to who Oak Ridge played.

If I remember correctly the head coach of that team was Joe Gaddis who eventually went to Oak Ridge and won a state championship at our exspense. We played them that year in the playoffs(1986) and again if I remember right they beat us pretty good. His teams are always tough, hard nosed and confident. Just give him a year or two and he will rule the state in 4A. When talking about great running backs don't forget Reggie Cobb Knox Central. Central Bobcat

Wow redraider4life have you got a surprise waiting on you, this Oak Ridge team will probably be the best football team that has ever been in Murfreesboro,college or high school. They have really come on strong lately especially offensively, from what I have heard from good friends who I work with they have come up with a new coach to help them with their offense and their passing game, and it is evidently working out real well for them,because they thrown it extremely well in the playoffs and put up a bunch of points. I can't wait to see them in person, all I have seen of them since the regular season DB game has been on tape,and on tape they are good at both the run and the pass. They have as good a tailback as I have seen this year in Spencer Gulmire and their fullback is a load.

johnpaul, they have forgotten about how bad Mo'town West punked em out last year ,how they should be in 5A, and how well they recruit, but I Guarantee you the Vikes don't have a chance. Just wanted to say hi to my Murvul buddies,I can't wait till next year, you gotta whupping waiting on you Rebs for sure next year so just get ready. All right all you murvul mullett heads your demise is at hand, enjoy your pep rally cause the next rally you have will be like a wake at your end of the year banquet, when you can add another banner to that long row of one beaten seasons that I know you are so proud of. Dmoyers1, I would love to do that my military service goes back probably to far for you to remember back to late 60's and early 70's and my youngest son just got back from Ahfganistan not too long ago. There are many more important things going on out there today than this game, but is nice that we can enjoy this game light-heartedly have fun with each other and let the best team win which will happen tonight. Someone compared our Qb to Casey Clausen please we have never had a QB that immobile or that bad and I hope we never do. Raider, I agree with you this game will not be close and you know it and so do I. You know that your little run of good fortune has ended ,because you have seen as I have the warning signs of a program on the decline with the humilating defeat to M'Town West last year and the gift that you all received at the hands of the Powell Panthers via the refs. The kicking game will be huge for us tomorrow we will return a kickoff for a touchdown, and probably a punt or two for a score maybe more as you all will be punting so much. Our QB will feel some pressure from your fine defensive front, but he will allude them expertly and quickly and the world will see that best QB on the field tomorrow night is a Central Bobcat. DiveDoc the rebs just want to talk about being like Oak Ridge or kingsport they never will be because all they will do is scrimmage them and put a green jersey on their QB, then after the scrimmage they talk about "we beat one of the best 5a teams in the state". Pretty impressive huh? Grow up dixie boy rebs you don't even live in the south any way. Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, or Florida don't even claim you as a southern state. Central Bobcat
