AA rules

Should be I guess. Not sure how middle schools split em up. I do know Cleveland didn't play in these tourneys. They played in the James C. Haile and the TNT. Been kind of down for a few years but do have a very good tradition. Girls have a better recent tradition winning 2 state titles in the past 12 yrs. and always being very competitive. Boys are very up and down.

A not very strong Meigs Co. team.

I think something and 2. Lost to a very strong Cleveland team twice.

Looked like bashing from my end. Just need to show a little respect for your opponent that's all. Ya'll may beat Athens to death but don't brag about it until you actually do it.

I'm sure they have got a heck of a team. I was just wondering why there is so much Athens bashing from ya'll. I don't see anybody from Athens saying anything negative on here. Show some love.

I don't have a dog in the race BUT I would bet that Athens is PROBABLY preparing to beat that Greeneville team just as hard. Greeneville sure does seem quite defensive even though I haven't seen one comment on here by anybody from Athens. I do know Athens has some good middle school talent and one of the best coaches around. They sure did pound our middle school team twice this year. So since these in shape teenagers can wack a bunch of out of shape adults that means they are unbeatable ??

Like I said, "I hate to say it, but Central in a cakewalk" nobody else in the district is even close..sorry to say....just stating a fact....

I wish ya'll would make up your mind.....at the first of the year all we heard was how these "AMAZING" freshmen were gonna lead the Chargerettes to the Murfreesboro promised land and now we hear it's hard for a freshman to win on the road....quit talking out of both sides of Centrals mouth.......

I thought it was because of all those gold balls in the trophy case (pun intended)

Meigs girls split with Ocoee.....both won on the others home court and both games were 5 point games. Orleans must be on Lipscomb cause I know she is not on Meigs

That officials association is a JOKE.....take your open book test and pay your money and your in baby........and it seems to me like Central gets awfully offended whenever anybody questions anything about the proudest school in the state of Tennessee.....BUT it seems fine for them to question everybody else...

Was a very good game...in spite of the refs....thought they stunk on both sides of the ball....but that association ALWAYS does....thought Meigs played their best 16 minutes of the year in the second half....like McMinn without subbing.....and their head coach wasn't there as a personal matter took him away.....kudos to Asst. coach for a job well done...

The best girls team I have seen is Cleveland....I think they lost 1 game all year (to their cross county rival Ocoee) but they also beat Ocoee twice, including the James Haile championship game. They play at breakneck speed, are overly aggressive and have size and depth.

Rhea County also has a VERY good freshman class.......

According to the Chatt. paper there were 84 foul shots and 7 players fouled out. Was it a well called game ? If it was, apparently there was some bad blood going on. What's the story ?

Do you have any idea of why they might have forfeited, if that's the case ??

Meigs should be as good if not better than in 2005. They have 4 or 5 incoming freshman that should compete for playing time. 3 skill players and a couple of linemen. Add that to the USUAL 5 or 6 "seniors" who decide they want to play football their last year of high school. They are athletic, just wish they would have played before their senior season.

I assume it will be.....looks like they just moved Saturday's games back a week and extended the tourney another week. That's not real good, though, because of the high school district tourneys starting next week. Do you know what time Bledsoe was supposed to play last week ? And do they play at the middle school or at the center ? We played at the middle school last week but are supposed to play at the Center this week.

I know Meigs was supposed to play Lipscomb last Sat. at 6:00 and that game was moved to this Sat. at 6. We already played one game on Feb. 4th.

Hey Bledsoetheboys........have the Bledsoe girls played in the TNT yet ? If not, could you tell me when and who they play ??

We in Meigs were told 6:10. So, I would say 6 o'clock is gospel enough.

I couldn't agree with you more.......seems like they could put just a LITTLE effort into keeping that site updated..
