  1. Actually Alcoa is a 2A team playing in 3A. Both Signal and TC could be playing those guys.
  2. Running back Donnie Garner was at East Ridge last season. He transferred here last fall and played basketball at Signal last season. The only other starter NOT on the football roster last season is Alex McGhee. He lived on Signal in middle school, family moved out of state, and last winter moved back to Signal. Alex played baseball for the Eagles last spring. All other starters were on the roster last year.
  3. Cascade too physical...Champs by 14.
  4. I think the Buc's win this one easily. Boyd by 21
  5. my original post was a reply to someone about east hamilton, not signal.
  6. 4A in football with now WELL over 1000 students in the high school alone means they should be at least 5A and maybe 6A. Grades 6-12 now have over 2000 students. And, reclassification is still two years away. Pridemom, I heard Bernard Childress DID call baylor North and check on the transfers, seems as though it was all on the up and up. No Child Left Behind kids. Oh well!
  7. Congrats. to Trey Hicks!!! Announced this afternoon as new coach at Red Bank. Good Luck!
  8. They don't have an ace. However, I do think they will throw the best they have available. They will not look to play again tomorrow. I am sure they want to finish this in one game. Good luck!
  9. At Red Bank RB beat Wilson Central 9-5 Wilson Central beat Bearden 7 - 1 (?) Cleveland beat Bearden 12 - 9 Ooltewah beat Red Bank 3 - 1 @ Ooltewah
  10. Hensley GOT the job this morning around 11:00. And you are correct, he will do an awesome job.
  11. not very many. Red Bank is looking at having roughly 800 students in the next 2-3 years. This fall they will have approx. 900. They will definately be in AA beginning 2009 for all sports except football. I think they will choose to be in what is now AAAA for football play-offs (if you can understand this new system, I still am not sure of everything the tssaa is doing). As for SD baseball job, it WILL be Hensley or Mulder. Both, are class acts, and know the game very well. I would give the edge to Hensley because he played for Coach Garland, and was an assistant for him for 3 or 4 seasons before going to Red Bank for the past 3 seasons. However, why would a TSSAA umpire, say on a message board he could not stand Hensley. Especially when he will have to umpire games SD is in if(when) Hensley is the head coach. I think if I am Hensley, after I get the job, I would call a certain official assigner and have someone blackballed from umping ANY of SD baseball games. That comment was completely BUSH. WOW!! Although you may not like someone, there is no need to get on here and tell everyone you hope a guy does not get a job because you can't stand him.
  12. Other than Hitchcock from ND, I think he wants to know if anyone thinks Chris Richardson from McCallie is interested. I have heard his name in mentioned. I think he has ties to Ooltewah?

    6-AAA ?

    How is this one going?
  14. There is a VERY good chance Red Bank will be dropping to AA in all sports except football. Signal Mountain High School opens next fall and could take as many as 250 students from Red Bank. Red Bank's current enrollment is 1050 students.
  15. Are you umping this weekend? If so, at which location(s)?
  16. A "suspended" game is a game that does NOT go four and one-half, or five full innings. A "regulation" game, does go at least four and one-half or five innings. What you have in this situation is a regulation game. This was NOT a suspended game.
  17. sorry man, you got bad information. They are more than likely pre-season favorites. Excellent players returning, and three very good transfers.

    Baylor

Wow, have not heard that one. However, when you think about it, it does make sense. Coach Richardson would be a great choice, but, do you really think he would leave McCallie?
  19. Final score Red Bank 12 Central 0 Tyler Henry faced the minimum and tossed a no-hitter. Beau Geren, Josh Barrett, and Scott Holloway all homered. The game only went 6 innings.

    Most K's

Sophomore Brandon Ward of Red Bank has 34 K's in 18 IP.
  21. he threw the first 4 innings. he struck out six and allowed one single. he had a very good outing. he did not go back out in the fifth.
  22. He did not do anything wrong. He was given the night off. I know you usually do not get the district championship off, but, RB did have to win 2 to be the champions. Both teams had already advanced to Monday's region play. Bump wanted to get some younger kids in a pressure situation so they can remember what it is like for the future. The fresh. behind the plate (Craig Barker) did a great job. He also reached base both at bats. Some people probably think Bumper is crazy, and sometimes, he may actually be. But playing young players last night for experience was not too crazy.
  23. The game today IS at 4:30. The reason is because Central has Senior night at school this evening.
