I think Big Jon can dominate next year, only if he gets bigger and stronger. He has the touch outside the paint, but he needs to get some muscle to get down inside. Whenever that Sycamore has not been the favorite to win, they have preformed better. Good luck to the War Eagles next year...i will come back from the 'boro to come see ya statebound.

I play thirdbase as well, i would suggest eye black over sunglasses. The reason is that sunglasses could get struck by a line drive and the sunglasses could break and leave pieces stuck in your face..yeah it might be a long shot, but it could happen. Go eye black, works well for me. You can use it at night too, just to get the glare of the lights down.

Well now since that the tournaments are over this year's Sycamore team should get tons of respect from other teams. They hung with the previous state champions (Giles County) and lost to the eventual state champions (Bolivar). A lot of teams overlooked they War Eagles this year, maybe after their perfomances their last two games they might get some respect.

Before you start "overcorrecting" people, learn how to spell accurate, and going..thanks. Tyler should go to Oak Hill so he can take his skills to the next level. The kid was blessed with great leaping ability to go along with his height and thickness. If he goes to Oak Hill they will drill into Tyler's head that he has to hit the outside shot to succeed. That will not happen if he stays at GC, because everyone he plays down here he can jump over. If he goes to Oak Hill the competition will be a lot better so he will be forced to hit the outside shot. As of the family thing, I am sure Oak Hill will furnish his dad a job for Tyler to come to that school.

Yeah can anyone tell me what T Smiff shot from the outside? I have seen Tyler play for the past 2 years and he still can't hit from the outside. I want him to move on to Oak Hill so he can get better as a player, but if he does go there he needs to develop an outside shot. Good luck to Tyler where ever he plays

lou, i played with you in little league, and have seen you play in high school. Still have not impressed me too much, sounds like you are being cocky too early. If you "shut us down" then why did we beat you 2 out of 3 times?? Cheatham's ace is Coleman without a doubt, i have played against him for the past 4 years and he has done nothing but get better. All I have to say is it will be a dog fight in this district.

Yeah your right everyone is still talking about Giles County...but it is not because of how good they are. It is because all of their fans ran their mouths all year, about how great T Smiff is and how awesome the basketball team is. Everyone thinks that it is histarical that ALL of GC was looking for a Bolivar/ Giles game in the chamionship round. <- Yeah looks like that is going to happen. :justwrestle: That is the only reason people are still talking about the all "high and mighty" Giles County.

Central these past few weeks, and it does say 4 straight, but maybe MC is wrong, but by what the banner says it has been 4 in a row.

How could LP stop Tyler Smith when logan is on the bench. I guarantee El Rey didn't follow anyone out to their vehicles. Once again, it isn't hard to score 37 points on dunks and layups over people a foot shorter than him. ONCE AGAIN until he gets an outside shot he is not that impressive. Why do GC fans run away from the statement of Tyler is not as good as everyone thinks he is until he gets the jump shot. I was there Thursday night, and I was not impressed. We are not upset that we lost..crap we were picked to get blown out, we are upset over the poor officiating. GC is a good team, but by what i have seen, they won't win state..i wish them the best of luck, but they have to bring their best game to win.

Giles said they were going to beat Sycamore as bad as they want, and look what happened. Sure Sycamore was beaten but GC came nowhere close to blowing them out. Look for Sycamore to shoot the lights out again. Maybe the refs will be better than at the GC game. LP needs to have a big game for Sycamore to stay in it. Who ever said it was racial? Our fans always do stuff like that, and GC are the first to complain about it...wow big shocker!

Question..How hard is it for someone 6'8" to dunk over someone 5'8" and shorter? Not too hard...Can GC fans tell me something? How many outside shots did " T Smiff" hit? i think a big fat 0. This kid can dunk wow!!! Until he can shoot from the outside he has not impressed me. Yeah Tyler was babied..if you were at the game you could see that. Tyler held LP's jersey b/c logan put a move on him and was going to be wide open, but no call How did Logan end up on the ground with Tyler the only one around home..i do believe he pushed him down. But it is ok, b/c GC will not win state. If they had TWO tough games with 10aa teams, how are they going to handle better teams?

Golfinman no one said you said that there would be a 9AA sweep, it was ol' Gerry Bertier who said it. I just wonder how smart he feels right about now.

Congrats to Cheatham on their win over Lewis. 2 our of 3 9AA teams have lost, let's go 10AA!! Anyone have any updates on Marshall/Waverly?

Yeah i liked ol' sideburns, he was running around like he needed some kind of medication. As for us (fans) we were not doing anything that we typically we don't do. We just got in Fairview's head, and our guys turned it around. To yellowjacket we don't really have to worry about Waverly since we have taken care of business against them, and Marshall is not too threatening. District 10AA looks like it is whipping up on 9AA with the exception of GC squeeking by Harpeth.

So can anyone tell me what happened to 9AA rolling through the first round over 10AA? Just a question.

Good job on that one. Looks like GC struggled to hit 60. Smith was out played by Dansby all night. Like i said before Tyler Smith is AVERAGE. He missed two dunks for cryin out loud. Dansby took it from the inside to the outside all night. He beat smith in every category but getting the win. See GC Smith is not all on top of the mountain like you think he is. If they play like they did tonight they will lose in the region tournament.

My IQ just dropped from reading your post LCPAnthers90........Cheatham has the guy that leads the state of tennessee in 3's<- big threat. Bowers is a good leader and will lead the cubs to victory. Cubs have a good defense and will get LC a tough time. How are you gonna get beat by Marshall County?? Well should be a good game, but still goin with Cheatham.

If you saw them play you would know what is good about them. The have good perimeter shooting, good pressure defense, and great leadership. Tough team to play with when they are on. But they live by the 3 and die by the 3.

I agree with HLfootballfan68....Most of the people that picked Fairview to win over Sycamore have forgotten that the War Eagles did beat them by 30 earlier in the season. I am pulling for Harpeth to win, but i just don't see that happening. As for the others, I believe that 10AA will take them. Sycamore is playing its best ball right now,Cheatham has too many shooters for Lewis to contain, and Waverly is just better than Marshall County. Hope to see ya there TilaNguyen

I will have to go with Cheatham on this one. After coming off a loss in the district championship to Sycamore, Cheatham will be looking for revenge. Noel Smith was shut down in that game so look for him to come out red hot.All the Cheatham County teams should play well, but only two out of the 3 prevail.

Yeah CW beat us twice..but who came out on top as district champs..sure wasn't creekwood. I think you meant Cheatham, but they didn't come out cold, the defense was just awesome. True shut down their leading scorer, so do not hand me that Cheatham had an off night. HAHA you can laugh all you want but who will be sitting at home, and who will be sitting pretty in the second round of regions??

Sycamore played a well fought game. Kudos to Cheatham as well. But big props to Randy True for shutting down Noel Smith the whole game. True was in his face all night. Logan had a great game like he had every game in the tournament. Congrats to the War Eagles on winning back to back district championships,especially after being so overlooked. See ya in regions.

Whoa! settle down Mr. Bowers he was just stating his opinion. No reason to get all emotional.Sure Cheatham has momentum coming off a thrilling win over Waverly..but ask yourself this, who would have thought that Sycamore would have been where they are now at the beginning of the season..All true Sycamore fans would say they are where they are suppose to be..but you know as well as i know people were picking mc and Harpeth to kill us. I am also glad to see that they are playing as a team right now, if this happens watch out. Sycamore is playing its best ball right now...so Bowers be on the look out for True to have a big night.
