  1. CC, if you're gauging your chances of beating D-B on your game with Science Hill, whew you're far off. The Hill won't break .500 this year. D-B is 40 points better than SH, so I'm not affiliated with D-B, but this Friday I'll take D-B by 34 over CC.
  2. Science Hill is down this year even when healthy. Cambell County 28 Science Hill 17
  3. Coach Clark hasn't been the type to run scores up in the past. The large margins of victory earlier in the season could have been much worse if he had wanted. I don't see him running it up tonight either. I'd say Indians 42-13, easy.
  4. Totally agree. Anybody who has to talk smack about Cosby is a joke. Talking smack about Cosby can't even be defended.
  5. I agree with Cademon. This Cougar fan is obviously some kid who hasn't a clue.
  6. Don't get excited barb. I've been reading your posts for a bit now and know you seem to understand the game well enough. Well enough to know D-B is far better than anyone in NE TN this year regardless of classification. This year, 2004, G'ville wouldn't get within 50 points if they played D-B and the Indians wanted to make a point. (I know, I know, any given Friday night. And I was there when Volunteer beat D-B in the mid '80's) Enough of 5A D-B now. As far as 4A goes, in Regions 1 and 2, Tennessee High is in a class by themselves. We'll get to see Friday night when 5-1 Sullivan South rolls into the Stone Castle. As far as the IMAC, I too agree, it is confusing. I do think Morristown East may let down this week and the Chiefs muddy the water some more. I'll take Cherokee by 13.
  7. GreenEville wins easily. G'ville 45 Roosters 12
  8. Not hearing ANY chatter on this one.... 5-1 Rebels (only loss to a great 5A D-B team) @ 6-0 Vikings (probably the top 4A team in Regions 1 and 2) Any thoughts on this one? Is the Viking speed too much for the Rebels? Will South's smash-mouth play be too much for the boys from Bristol? :justwrestle:
  9. No way TN High would beat D-B this year, even as good as their backs are. I'd like to see the school's ADs can get together on this one for the future. I mean how long should D-B continue to schedule Sullivan North. A D-B/TN High matchup would make a great deal more sense.
  10. Yep. Lucky to be 4 and 2. :justwrestle:
  11. Since you don't know me, how do you know you haven't make "personal attacks". You've said plenty about the coaches and others at Volunteer. Volnuteer, you know the school where you got your diploma. (maybe if you find the right font in Word, you can print out another school and tape it over the Volunteer High School). If you want to be left out of the topic, why not let yourself out? It's real easy. Looks like the choice is yours. (I'm bettin' you won't be able to resist and will be back sooooon.) Keep your heads up Falcons... and if you're reading this crapola, quit and log out.
  12. I've seen Science Hill, and in my opinion, they're lucky to be at 4-2. They slid by South Doyle and Elizabethton gave it to 'em. The four teams they have beaten are a combined 7-23. I see SH being 5-5 on Oct 30th. I'm taking Jeff County by 17.
  13. I'm confused... Smoke20 (Holtzclaw they say) if you hate Volunteer so much why continue to post here. Waco had enough dignity to not kick a team when they are down. You say you want the Falcons to win, but it's obvious all you are attempting to do is find a friend in Kingsport. I've read your posts. Were you that low in high school society, or maybe you were ignored and nobody would acknowledge you, or maybe a coach/teacher made you cry. I don't live in Hawkins County, but I do understand the meaning of "Sometimes you can't go home". Maybe you should keep trying to find an Indian fan that will adopt you and spend a little more time with your "girlfriend" ( we believe you
  14. Haven't seen Cloudland play. I can say, with all due respect to Cosby and without seeing the Landers, there's no way Cloudland loses to Cosby. As far as the Unaka vs Cosby game goes, a buddy told me it could have been 80-0. Unaka was up 28-0 with time left in the 1st Qtr. I was surprised to hear Unaka was passing downfield when up 35-0 . Unaka vs Cloudland might be a good game this time around.
  15. Greeneville - 38 Volunteer - 12 Chparent - mostly empty kool-aid pitcher
  16. btw, I notice East keeps the starters in almost all game. Why do they do this? No depth? No class? What? 825361039[/snapback] 03, Noticed the same thing. What they did to poor little Volunteer was shameful. I hope Ralphie boy has observed what has happened to the X-Juggernaut that once was in Cloudland. They beat teams brains out (I'd even say ran it up). Now that they're down, nobody will let up on 'em ever again. The same thing will come around to Sullivan East. But I guess they are getting the points while they can. Enjoy it. I mean they've been terrible for 20 years or so. Heck, I wouldn't even mind seeing 'em win state. Beyond this year, however, I don't believe that area can continue putting a good team on the field consistantly, so have fun this year boys. The beatings will resume soon enough. I wonder how long Ralph will stick around?
  17. Dang! WaCo beat me to the score I was going to predict. Oh well.... Tennessee High 56 Sullivan Central 0
  18. East 27 Betsy 21 (Neither team is a match for THS this year by the way)
  19. Who cares about baseball. This is football season. Quit changing the subject. Central football is sad. THS is 50 points better any given Friday night.
  20. DB 48 SD 6 (Could be worse but the DB Freshmen will play the 4th Qtr, that's where SD gets 2 FG)
  21. Cherokee (Rogersville,TN) is supposed to be pretty tough this year. They've improved over last year. I personally would pick them to finish 6-4. I see losses coming to TN High, Volunteer, Greeneville, and Morristown West. The game with Volunteer is probably a toss up now, however, with Volunteer losing their stud QB to Twin Springs, VA. I can't see the Chiefs losing to W. Greene, S. Greene, Cloudland, Crockett, Morristown East, or Cocke County. The Greene county schools seem to be weak. Cloudland is way down this year. Crockett is improved but not to Cherokee's level. Morristown East has lost to many to graduation. Cocke County are big, but not very good. This could be a banner year for the Chiefs and they could advance a couple of games into the playoffs. ...my opinion....
  22. "Practice"? Come on now... doesn't bother me, but calling it "Practice". LOL
