Prior to 2008 you say. Well smarty pants, how about the very next season then, 2009 Greeneville team then? What happened that year at South? This year's Rebel team reminds me a lot of those 08-09 Rebel teams. I'm no homer for either, but I find it comical that you're writing off this South team and looking on to Fulton. "Convincingly" I guess we'll see. (2009 Gville at South: One if the best games I've ever witnessed. I hope this game is just as good for both sides' fans)

Rematch: DB 42 SHHS 34 Playoffs: so zebras will be from neutral area this week (right?) They'll catch the SH linemen down field illegally, unlike the sloppy zebras from last week. Both Coach Carter and Coach Clark said there was illegal linemen downfield on the SH TD that turned the tide late in the game. I didn't catch it watching live, in the wet and cold, but watched it online later after reading the coaches' quotes in the Press. The two zebras in the middle should be embarrassed for missing that one. And I still don't understand what happened on a different play, when the zebras huddled and the lead Ref snuck his flag out of his pocket and dropped it, in the middle of the ref huddle. I didn't know they could even do that. I hope the refs aren't a factor and the kids decide it this week. I hope whover wins, is completely healthy, to be able to at least give everything they have vs the 'next team'.

A few facts: Clark will only go if HE decides to hang it up. Ballard will entertain an offer when the time comes. DB has probably the worst AD in East TN. He couldn't pull off getting Ballard to Kingsport on his own. Maybe Pal will sweeten a deal.

Bat, the Indians 'should' win by 32, but GC has that old conservative streak and tends to change the game plan in games when he has a lead. If DB played like they were behind all the time, they'd be really good. I'm gonna say DB by 14, still yet.

Uhh, heck no. For about a 5 year stretch at South, his teams were looooaded. '05-'09. Now at Science Hill, he is loooaded with talent again. Even Bosken from Crockett could coach those teams. The plays that beat DB last night were amazing athletic plays by the SH players, not great play calls nor great strategy. Plus DB's affinity for penalties and turn overs helped. The better team won, due to God given athetic ability. Period.

Hit the nail on the head - Bosken. This is THE only problem. There's always been a great competitive Crockett / Boone rivalry. There always has been and always will. Thats a good thing. But - THE problem now is Crockett's head coach. All that have heard and seen how he acts,and see how the kids follow his lead, know he needs to go. No discipline. Teaching poor character. I work with a gentleman that has a son/athlete that would be slated to go to Crockett. Even before this, he was making arrangements to take his son somewhere else. Beyond this, i was akso shocked by what he told me about this guy's lack of high school football knowledge. Crockett folks, I promise you, this guy has you fooled. It is him, not the kids. Get rid of him or Let the exodus begin. Blast me if you want, but I needed to get this off my chest. It's a shame that Boone got the same punishment. But the T$$AA did the easy thing.

I agree with RebRaider. Since Coach B has gotten there, there's been a growing reputation for them and him. On the other hand, Coach J has established a reputation of character.
