  1. Player not loading for me. Anyone else having trouble?
  2. Extremely. I hope they continue to elevate their level of play and add to the level of competitiveness in Div. I TN lacrosse. I realize their coach may leave in a couple of years, which I hope will not be used as an excuse to remain in the developmental league based on rebuilding. I hope the level of support from the parents remains strong from middle school forward as that will be the key in Brentwood's success coupled with finding another quality coach.

    very interesting, where's MBA's goalie?

    DI Playoffs

3-way tie in the east. Not sure how that's determined. West would be MUS, Houston, CBHS, and Ryan I believe.

    MUS-MBA

If you're embarassed to be an MBA alumnus because some 17 and 18 year-old boys lost a high school football game, I'm embarassed to say you went to my school. They came up short against a fine team. MBA is a lot more than football. Before you post next time, remember, you're a gentleman first.
  6. Cut It Out, "Jeff's on a witchunt?" Love to know what that means.
  7. anyone know how MBA fared?

    MBA

    Offhand.... QB - Howe - Cordell RB - Snyder - Johnson FB - n/a TE - Carney (hamstring) OT - Bailey OG - C - Dean OG - OT - Billington WR - Phipps WR - undecided
  9. Ravenwood has a great nucelus of players currently. Unfortunately depth will be a problem in the coming years. The class of sophs at RHS is excellent, rivaling DI schools talent-wise; however, not sure that others coming into their program are at that level.
  10. Lassiter 10, MBA 8 - varsity

For the sake of arguement, MBA's team in 92 and 93 went undefeated, won 39 straight games and ended 93 with a number 22 Lacrosse Magazine national ranking. Two MALC (now defunct) championships and state championships. Quality wins over Moeller, Dublin Scioto, Detroit Country Day, Detroit Catolic Central, a few other that elude me. The MBA 94 team captured state but not the MALC losing to Lafayette out of St. Louis.

    MUS @ MBA

    canceled tonight b/c of weather
  13. Confirming - when Ehrman spoke recently it was talked about and the coaches are trying to work something out....not set by any stretch through. On a separate note, MBA lax will travel to MD to to play St. Albans this spring. Should be interesting.
  14. or for MBA alumni, try this option MBA/Trinity game
  15. Manzikert-You're correct with your post; however, the majority of kids that would have left Ensworth and gone to MBA as freshman are leaving early and coming to MBA in seventh grade. Somewhere in the teens this year. That's where the perceived discrepency lies. MBA yield was lower in the HS while higher in the junior school.

    Ben Bailey

    Kirk Howell, MBA '96
  17. Navy's goalie had a tough game. Granted he dislocated his shoulder but, prior, seemed llike Syracuse was getting everything by him. Couple of key saves could've made the difference. Nevertheless, great championship game all around.
  18. Been following lax in TN since the beginning and just couldn't remember
  19. no disrespect intended BIGRUSN, just curious if you know. has USN defeated McCallie, MUS or MBA ever?

OK, we get it. You don't think lax is great. Fine by me, and I'm sure others here. Your list of "why lax will never catch on" is pretty laughable though. All "true" lacrosse teams in the NE? I bet you're one of those, "all good football is in the SEC." While I love SEC football and think the conference is the best top to bottom, I don't think it's the only true place where college football is played. Limited to rich white kids? Predominately white, sure. Limited to rich kids, you're on shaky ground. I guess it's unlike golf which has long been reputed as "the sport of the poor and minorities." Tell Tiger, Vijay, and the handful of other minorities that golf isn't predominately white. And while your at it, tell the destitute Namibian kid (remember, it's the most played) that all he needs is that mid-range set of Pings, a bag, balls, tees, shoes and that's right, a freaking golf course in the heart of the desert and he can be the apple of the world's eye. My guess is, that kid, only has access to a beat up ball and a makeshift goal. Soccer is the most popular worldwide sport for a reason. It's most accessible to all. Golf most difficult? Now that's a debate worth having.
