  1. I Concur. I have seen lots of bands that are not as large do a lot more. The fans of Farragut do not know how lucky they are to have so many State Championships from 1 school. Some Schools have never had a State Championship in anything. Heck look at Ooltewah. The only team sport they have won a State Championship in is Girls softball.
  2. From what I can fiqure you hve a #1 in 5A vs #2 6A and very little talk. Wow I guess West Knoxville really is just about Soccer! It should be a great game wish I could be there. Good Luck Admirals!
  3. OK then explain the Reveiz kid at LB. TN Walk on who Kiffin has nothing but good things to say. BJ was a spoiled Blue Blood. If he had guts he would have hung in there like lots of TN greats. Thank goodness guys like Rick Clausan, Daryl Dickey, Andy Kelly and others who helped the programm didn't give up.
  4. NO ONE ever wins 'easily' at Lebanon. Even R'dale at its height always had to play hard there for the win. I will say H'ville should win it, but if they let down any from the game last Friday they will have a long sad bus trip when its over. Yeah hopefully they forget last week and play them one game at a time. They always seam to play great in the 4th qtr. The Commandos don't have superstars but play with a lot of heart.
  5. I have been saying this for years. Since 2001! I hoped the fan support picked up since they have had 4 good seasons. I'm sure DB and OR have more fans at their home games than FHS. I know they did in the past. If it's not Bearden or OR game than the Ad fans don't come. With the new line up of games it should be packed every game night. Of course having pep ralleys before school can't help to much.
  6. let's keep it real now.The cats still own the Ads in the big picture. Also with the new public HS and all the D-II schools pulling talent out of Farragut the years are numbered for the Ads being dominate. It's only 4 out of the last what 20 or 30? The new coach for OR is the real deal so I give the Ads maybe 1 to 2 years to get their wins in. You better make your run for State this year.
  7. Congrats Alcoa. Long time coming! Looking at the schedules. Alcoa has a stright run to State. Maryville will have a few bumbs in the road (Farragut, OR, Knox Cath etc) Great team, program and fans, however I think you have tough road to travel this year.
  8. one of the best games I've seen in that field. The Commandos plyed their hearts out. It looked like Riverdale expected to win like their fans did on page 1 of this topic. im proud of my WARRIORS THEY PLAYED HARD last night they just came up a little short GOOD JOB WARRIORS we have another tough task in lavergne next week GO WARRIORS
  9. Farragut looks like they have one of the tops, taking on non District folks like DB, OR and Riverdale. Then Maryville, Bearden and Knox Chatolic. Four traditional state powers and playoff teams. That was a gutsy call. I hope they have a deep bench. Compared to a OR, Owls, Hendersonville or Ravenwood schedule Farraguts looks like a rough road to the playoffs.
  10. The wildcats by 1 TD. New Coach new team. They will want some revenge for a game they use to take for granted. However I will pull for the Ads!
  11. Been watching oth programs thru since 2000. DB is still one of the best places to watch a game in the state. The tradition and fan support is one of the best in the state. First time I went to an Admiral game I was really shocked at the diff. However with a winning record I'm sure the crowd has stepped up. Pulling for the Ads ut love the Tribe and their tradition.
  12. So does the new region make it easier for the Owls to get further in the State Playoffs? Looks like an easier schedule without OR, Farragut or Maryville to deal with.
  13. I got a place to stay at the relatives. So no big deal for me. Just a point of view. Just seams to being pushed to a smaller venue every few years. Nashville to Murfreeesboro to Cookeville. What next Bucksnort!
  14. No just the ignorant facts. I was there on the 4th with 4 Cookeville grads. It/s Wally World or a few bars. They agreed with me. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> How about that great mall! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> Cookeville Stats: Tourist attractions: Department of Leisure Services (Museums; 144 South Lowe Avenue) (1), Cookeville Depot Museum (116 West Broad Street) (2), Initials Interiors Inc (Cultural Attractions- Events- & Facilities; 610 Design Drive) (3), Dial-A-Story (Cultural Attractions- Events- & Facilities; 50 East Broad Street) (4), Fun Tunnel (Amusement & Theme Parks; 400 Dubois Road) (5), Carefree Tours (Tours & Charters; 4340 Pippin Road) (6). 15. I have relatives in Cookeville and have stayed their on business trips. There is limited hotels compared to Murfreesboro and the only thing to do at night is to go to Walmart, That;s not a joke it's a fact. Heck they go to Walmart after the Prom. LOL At least Murfreesboro has Nashville down the road and a real Malls. I think you had more folks coming out to the games who just wanted to see good football when it use to be in Nashville area.
  16. Of course Farragut and Bearden can have a large crowd over a came of Checkers. LOL Their games were fun to watch when both teams were bad! I think the new regions will bring back some old rivals! Should be a fun year.
  17. If I remember correctly Alcoa beat them in the early in 2000 or 2001 then Maryville went undefeated the rest of the year and won 4A. Also Alcoa has had them on the ropes a couple of times.
  18. I've seen HHS VS Gallatin Maryville vs Alcoa Farragut vs Bearden Baylor Vs McCalle Father Ryan Vs MBA DB vs SCHS WHHS vs Beech WHHS vs Station Camp HHS vs Beech Oak Ridge vs DB All big games and great games. For that old time football feel Maryville vs Alcoa is hard to beat. One of the few games you get to see 2 State Championship teams face each other.
  19. The top team out of this region should be a force in the playoffs. If not this year in the future. I have not seen to many great teams since moving back to this area. I think this will change with the new region.
  20. 1. Farragut for now. Since the Ads have won the last few and the over the last 6 years it's been close. 2. DB great games now andin the past. 3. I'm gussing Maryville in the future. Congrats on a great Coach OR. Since moving back to the Middle Tn Area his Hillsboro teams were one of the few Nashville teams worth watching.
  21. The Commandos will be good but graduated a lot of their studs. The big Commando win against Clarksville last year IMHO left a spur under the the Wildcats fur so I expect a Clarksville team ready to prove something.
  22. Wow. I thought he would be hired away at the College Level not going down to a small private school. I know he loves the area, church etc. What kind of bucks did CAK throw his way? I see CAK being a Power House in that area in more than just Soccer. The ed is great, price fair and with the additional of the new public HS folks in that area are looking for a small school with the feel of community. I know of some great young families with great kids that come from athletic families who love it there. Good Luck Coach and CAK.
