  1. I'm going to go with my boys from Temple in this one: Temple 32 SP 28
  2. #44 -- Josh Smith (Temple)(6'2 Junior) He's as tough as they come. Can run the ball and hit with the best of them. He doesn't get the ball that often but when he does -- look out!!
  3. Way to go Temple on your win over Clay last night. Hope you all stay focused on your goal of winning State. Bring it home, Baby!!
  4. Temple by at least 10. Temple 76 Grace 66
  5. I've not seen Webb play -- but I wouldn't count Caleb out of the race for Mr. Basketball. He has some good numbers also: 20.9 ppg 5.5 apg 2.7 spg No -- he's not a 6-8 center, but he's no doubt a great guard that has hops second to none. And no he's not going to an SEC school but I'm sure he could, but has decided to play at Mercer University with his older brother Jake (last years Mr. Basketball).
  6. Dude, you have an IQ of 2, and it takes 3 for you to grunt. You're definitely living proof that evolution can go in reverse. I've got to ask you a serious question: Have you been surfing in Nebraska or something? It's obvious you are suffering from T.B.F. Let me interpret that for you (Total Brain Failure). It's sort of related to something you asked about in a previous post (STD's). There's also no doubt in my mind that somewhere along the way you fell out of the "stupid tree" and hit every branch on the way down. I really can't wait to see with my own two eyes what comes out of Birdstown.
  7. I doubt that very seriously. No coach would be that smart to do that.
  8. You have to ignore Sikit -- he's not too bright, you know. He doesn't deal with a full deck of cards. He is one brick shy of a full load. The lights are on, but no one is home. His cornbread is only half-baked. His bucket doesn't reach the bottom of the well. He's a few fries shy of a happy meal. His elevator doesn't go all the way to the top. I would say more but I think you all get the picture.
  9. I'll tell you what, JB from Temple has hops!! He's truly "The Man"!! He's definitely the "Godfather of Slam" for sure. His 360 windmill and between the legs against Grace was phat y'all!! It looked like his head was 12" above the rim -- looking down into the basket as he slammed it home over Parshall. It was the sickest jam ever. His jumping skills are unmatched. Nuff said!!
  10. Whoever said, "White Men Can't Jump" has never seen JB take it to the rim, baby! In the “White Men Can’t Jump” world of basketball, the white man has always been disrespected. But after JB gets through with the brothers from Birdstown -- he's going to get the respect he deserves. You mark my word.
  11. You're always trying to block the shot . . . You're not a shot blocker!!" “offense comes and goes. . . defense stays the same.” "I might be old school but old schools got me two rings."
  12. Let him talk -- i get a big kick out of the loser. Remember Clarkrange, SikIt?
  13. Hey sikit -- you're an absolute loser, man. Remember Clarkrange?
  14. You had a front row seat? I'm jealous. It's not fair that some people get all the lucky breaks.
  15. Who has the talent, coaching, attitude, toughness, and motivation to win a state championship in 1A? Take note of the question and answer accordingly, please.
  16. I doubt very seriously that Michael has seen Temple or Grace play a game this year. So, I don't think he can really comment on either teams. But I would have to agree with him that Grace has no chance this year.
  17. I know that -- duh? I'm talkin about the game schedule on friday and saturday?
  18. This ought to be a pretty good weekend of high school basketball. Lookin forward to seeing some of the games. It will give us a good idea how good some of these teams really are. If anyone has the bracket for the tourney -- let us know what it is.
  19. I have seen both teams play and my feeling is that Temple wins big against Grace on Tuesday night at Vance Gym. I really don't think Grace has what it takes to beat Temple this year. I really believe the Crusaders win this one by at least 20 if not more. I would sort of agree -- if Temple plays like they did against McCallie (which I don't think will happen) Grace might have a small chance to pull off a W, but that is very unlikely to happen. I think Temple is yet to play its best ball and believe we will see that down the stretch.
  20. Good post oldtimer. This looks like it could be Temple's year to win. I would agree with you on the rankings. I'd probably put Ezell-Harding ahead of Pickett though. That is if they have the big man playing. There's been a lot of talk about Bailey from Pickett -- but I don't think he is as good as everyone makes him out to be.
  21. I don't believe Boyd has what it takes to defeat the Crusaders of Temple.
  22. For real. I don't see how anyone would place Whitwell at 2 in the fan poll. They aren't even close to being able to stay in the sme gym as Temple. There must be some folks with computers in Whitwell. That really surprises me. But anyway, what a showing for Temple in the poll.
  23. I didn't see the game but I understand that the Coach's son, Sean Wadley, pulled a hamstring in the game. I'm told that he's expected to return when Temple plays at Grace in their tourney next week.
  24. Caleb Skogen had 34 points (3 threes) in a big win over Twin Springs High School of Virginia (64-52) at a tourney in Unaka on Saturday. Temple also defeated Unaka 70-49 (defending state champs) on Friday night. Temple is now 8-1 with it's only defeat early in the season by McCallie (who was defeated by Unaka on Sat.) 54-49.
