I have one word for Cumberland Gap. SCALPED!!!

This game will decide 2nd and 3rd in the district. We really worried about Wartburg we beat them 31-0 and didn't even play good. As long as they have that coach down there at Wartburg we will be just fine.

Let's focus on Cumberland Gap. They normally have a scrappy team and I can bet we will see a lot of passes all over the place.

I look for this game to be over quick. We handled Wartburg easy even without a couple of starters. Greenback has a good back and a good quarterback. Even though we din't play very well down there I think Greenback has a god single A team. Coaching isn't even close in this game. The Cherokees have a decisive advantage. Greenback wins this one 49-0.

I can't say for sure if the Wartburg coaches know what they are doing when it comes to stretching and taking care of their players, but I do know that the team I seen at Oneida is poorly coached. Losing the coach from last year must have been a big blow because I have seen better coached junior high teams. Wartburg isn't very good but they are even worse coached.

Lambo's defense won't give up much after a tough game last week. Scott gets the W.

I agree that is the coaches call and a bad one at that. I would hate to be the kid that worked hard all winter, spring, and summer only to have another kid to not work at all and then come right in and be the starter. It just goes to show that hard work doesn't pay off to the other Wartburg players.

I always enjoy seeing how people talk about how good Hamtpon is but they normally don't play a team on their scehdule that can line up. They always get exposed in the playoffs because of a weak schedule and sub-par coaching. I do like to hear the talk thought it at least give those kids some respect because they do try.

Seymour is a good back, not great but good. Great win for Greenback, but we didn't bring our game. I think we might have been overlooking Greenback.

Cloudland and Coalfield are about the same. They make the playoffs because of weak competition and then get destroyed in the playoffs. Kind of like Hampton up that way. Oneida has a state championship. Indians are 1992 State Champs.

Greenback is a good team, but tackling cost the Indians last week. I think Greenback is better coached than O.S. I will take Greenback by about 10.

Is it true that the new coach let some players back on the team that quit? What is with coaches bowing down to the players? If they can't even compete with Cumberland Gap then I don't think wartburg can stay on the field with Pigeon Forge.

I have my calendar circled for the Wartburg game in a couple of weeks. After the way that game went last season and their lucky win. They have to come to the Reservation this time around.

I was told that the coach let these players back on the team after letting them quit this summer. that doesn't say much about the new coach. How will the players respect that?

I've liked what I've seen from this Oneida team. I like the it that everybody is talking about OS and Coalfield. I don't know if those teams knows what awaits them when they face the Indians. Greenback better get ready for a physical game tonight.

Oneida wins 42-0 over Coalfield. If we were to play Whatburg again, we would beat them 42-0.

They ought to be one of the top defensive teams in the state with a 1A non-district schedule.

Wartburg one of top defenses in state? Come on give me a break. We put 29 on them and we weren't even playing well back then. Oliver Springs will run all over them. Wartburg is still one of the premier weaklings in 2A. They scheduled a bunch of 1A teams and couldn't even win those games.

Jellico, well they are just Jellico.

Should be a battle of the two worst 2A teams in the district. Wartburg played a weak schedule and still only won 2 games.

Surely it cant be as ugly as that purple and yellow team I saw Oneida destroy in the spring. I think I know what OS stands for to Oliver Sprinsg football fans. Oh S***. Go Oneida (1992 State Champs)
