  1. Yes. Don't throw down. Just put up.
  2. If that were to happen, don't you think that he'd get bored of beating everyone all the time? Besides, what would happen to the likes of André Agassi, aka jon michael mollish ?
  3. If we were to look at good tracks, I'd have to say that another thread already addressed this issue. But as far as meets are concerned, Vanderbilt is the best place. The meet directors ensure that events exactly as scheduled, and besides, mondo is the best surface.
  4. To inform the newcomers, it is Trey "Walter" Spires III. The Third Nono. TRUST me. You mean Trey "Walter" Spires III. Even though the Third is good, he's no match for John Michael Mollish.
  5. But freshmen always lose because of that hole inferiority complex thing and physical intimidation that seems to go hand in hand with tennis.
  6. Thats ludicrous... but apparently believable (FAT, sanctioned meet, etc). I imagine that guy is an outcast in slacker circles.
  7. Kenwoodrun: I give the steeplechasers a lot of respect. Those college beasts run that race in 90 degree weather or in 30 degree weather with a thin film of ice across the top of the water. It is tough to find better role models for guts.
  8. What's the most fun event to watch in track meets? What's the most fun event to do in track meets? I'd have to say that the hammer is the most fun for both of those, followed only by 25 laps of fun, the 10,000. Notice that I'm referencing all of track, not just the events allowed at the high school level. These extra events, like the hammer, give us throwers something to look up to.
  9. Winning state? Who wants to do that?
  10. JV teams would still exist, and success would be redefined. This proposed change would take guts from everybody on the TSSAA and everyone near it. The 51-3 games would still be 51-3, but there would be a wider field of competition. It would be like a race in which the same people ran year after year. For one runner, success might be winning the race, but for a whole lot of others, success means beating that guy, the guy they always meant to beat. Creating divisions just bitters sweet success, because the state champion, team or individual, knows that he or she might not be the best. The medal or trophy or whatever has less meaning. Alternatively, we could create as many divisions as schools so that everyone is a winner and champion (everyone would feel good if we did this). It is important for our leaders, be they in politics, war, or athletics, to use their guts to make the right decision, whether or not that decision is popular.
  11. It'll be close, but McCallie should eek out a slight win
  12. Franklin/Centenniel is gonna take it running, no question.
  13. To play well, it is necessary to have a well strung raquet. We are talking about the people who string the raquets in the best possible manner, the people who can give a skilled player the most refined edge. A well strung raquet is a given, but a superbly strung raquet is somewhat hard to come by, especially at the amateur levels. Oh yeah, and having the ability to properly spell things "well" and "strung" -- both words with less than seven letters -- is a given for most third graders.
  14. Obviously you can taste ketchup. What about sarcasm?
  15. Nobody compares to CPA, with their depth, brawn, and brains.
  16. Horrible situation. Hope to getting bettered. I wishing resolving problem, wicked.
  17. Womack could definately be a finalist.
  18. We've discussed may possibilities and the current system of Tennessee athletics, but we neglected to discuss one area. What if we eliminated all divisions in every sport across the state, so that DII, A, AA, AAA, AAAA, and 5A were combined to force competition and add value to the title of 'state champion' ?

is that team strategerie to maximize points?
  20. Come on, the Third is no match for Mollish
  21. It's been a while since ive been there, but there should be one off of I-40 and another off of I-75
  22. wow. not much more to say.
