OK. The kid is a good player. I can easily say that about him. But a 4.4 40? Come on now. If so, we have cats that run 4.2. And I can assure you we do not. And yes he had a run against us that he dragged a couple kids. It was against some 3rd and 4th teamers. To the the best of my recollection he had about 7 carries for about 2 yards against our starters. I strongly suggest watching the entire film rather than about 2 decent runs on us.

Coach Pemberton beat us once in '91 and twice in '92 while he was at Rockwood. The two regular season games were pretty much blow outs but the playoff game was a good one. Our scores with Macon those years were pretty typical Macon and Smith scores too. I don't remember them but they were blow outs as well.

I agree. Gville has a very good team if they fix the obvious flaws. I think they take this one handily.

I am one that is in favor of consolidation myself. With everyone on the same page and with the right attitudes it would be scary what those kids could do. We would be 4A and ALL have rings I believe. Of course I have been sayin this for nearly 20 years though.

As far as im concerned that never goes out of style, now, 30 years ago, or 30 years from now. As far as TC and FC go, we beat FC everytime we played them back a few years ago. Im not exactly sure on our record with TC but I know its around .500. You cant say you are even close with either team. Go play and beat somebody thats good!!!

And they acted like they had never won a game in their lives. Not to mention they called playaction on 4th down after already bein up close to 30 when they knew they could score on nearly every play. Then they jumped around in the middle of our field like they had won the Super Bowl. Yes. It put a bit of a bad taste in the high school kids' mouths. I hadn't seen a LA group act like that before.

#8 is Jay Stevenson. He is a Sophomore. The Manning kid is the Freshman. He got the carry on the sweep at the end of the game. Yes he is a stud. I am sure his playing time will keep increasing throughout the year as he learns the offense.

You know, I am just sick of all this CRAP on here. G ville doesnt play with class or discipline. And guess what! It comes from the adults in the town down. I hear all the time of how the people in g say they hate the people, the coaches, and the players from SMITH COUNTY!!!!! Then yall get on here and say how you wish us luck the rest of the time. Well I am callin bull ....! How classy is it to allow the kids in the locker room to put a SC helmet decal in a urinal? You think that would be allowed in SCs locker room? Not a chance! And just please tell me how G has the better players? Are they stronger? Probably so, They are fortunate to have a strength and conditionin class every day. SC doesnt. But are they faster? NO! Do they have the balance, coordination, and change of direction skills theat our players do? NO! I heard Coach Marshal say on sports nuts that bein stronger equates to bein faster. Not exactly. Olympic weight lifters are probably all stronger than Bolt. Can they out run him? LOL!!!!! And NO G doesnt have the depth SC has. The coaches work those young guys they get just as hard as they do the older ones. . . On the practice field. . . Every day!!! They get them prepared to come in and play in clutch situations! And please for the love of green grass stop making all the excuses. EVERYONE is SICK of hearing it. The guy blatently held on the reverse. The pass interference was a good play and a good call cause it WOULD have been a TD. The one late hit, maybe questoinable. But guess the freak what. . . There were many others that could have been called. Chaz done it all night long and guess what else. . . G has been doin it for years now! Hittin somebody when they are down but be something to be proud of over there. I am sick of us even playin yall. You wont make as much money in the next two years combined as you did Friday night and personally Im tired of givin ya that gate. You show NO respect and you play with no class, discipline, or leadership. And like I said from the start, it comes from the ADULTS down. Get over yourselves! You arent world beaters. Neither are we but we dont get on here and claim to be!!!! I would love to see Gs record the last 20 years against people other than the weak little region teams yall play. Play a White House. Heck at least scrimmage somebody that can compete with ya. Prepare for a full game. Get hit a little bit in the preseason. But Im done with ya and with tryin to help you learn how to win. And no we dont have a state title but we have never played in the minor leagues either. And guess what else. . . THIS ISNT the 1980s!!!!!!

#1 is a Freshman. Cody Willis. Gettin time at LB, RB and FB. May even see some snaps at WR. Athletic kid with a good head on his shoulders. The future is bright.

Slack has a strained muscle in his back and will be ok with rest and therapy. Winningham dislocated his shoulder which went back in easily and will be in a sling for two weeks. Don't know about recovery time past that yet. Shoulders is still out from a knee injury due to a 4 wheeler accident.

Actually working 5 QBs. Scurlock, Winningham, Butler, Washer and Reddick. RBs FBs: Wakefield, Stevenson, Frazier (FB and RB), Manning, Anderson, Pinson, Holder, Sapp, Williams, Willis (FB and RB)so that's actually 10 there. WRs: Johnston, Edgell, Hackett, Nuss, West, Carr, Powell, Angel and Goolsby getting work along with Freshmen Rankin and Gregory. TEs: McKinney, Webb, Salisbury, Holliman.

But talented. . . with a good mix of Quality Senior leadership.

Looks right now as if they are ALL starting somewhere or another so they all need to step up and help add the needed early season depth and leadership that the Owls will be needing to be successful.

Better go ahead and add Edgell, West, Owens, Wakefield and Nuss to that list at least. I know they will all be serving vital roles on the up and coming Owl squad.

One thing I can promise you is that SCs D-line is ready for whatever challenge G-villes O-line can dish out at them. Second, G-ville better learn some new coverages and quickly. Third, I promise that SC has NOT shown their full hand. Game plan and play calling seemed very simple and basic Friday night compared to what can happen. We can't lay the ball on the ground and have ignorant referees who call crazy holding penalties. Other than that we are hanging 40 again! That's just my honest opinion as an innocent by-stander.
