Before we knight Young the next "Percy Harvin"....lets just see how he performs on the big stage at the East/West All-Star game. Lets see what he does...and even in practice he is going to get to run against a pretty good defense with a couple 7AAA Linebackers (Dunaway (Siegel) & Thompson (Blackman)) It wouldn't surprise me if Jeremiah Bryson started in front of him...wow that would be a kick in the face. For most of the state he has a lot to prove. So after that game, we can accurately give praise.

Ok....everyone can look back at this post in a year or two..and you will see that I am right. Young is WAY to small to be a SEC RB..he may be a returner..but highly unlikely... If MR. Football winner Gaston Miller (Riverdale) could never get on the field at Vanderbilt....I promise you ..Young will never see the field..and will prolly transfer.. Just saying..but Id bet on it.

Riverdale will win by as much as they want in every game up to the semi finals. Quad 2 is a JOKE. However they should have a good game against Maryville in the semis. Someone start that thread now...the other games up to that will be a joke. And the winner of that game will play whoever comes out of Quad 3 for the championship.

I know they will be opening on the road at Blackman because of the stadium, but how do they look so far this fall. Who are the players making an impact and who are some hidden players that are shining?

Heard he shuffled coaches around. Brought in a Defensive Coordinator..still waiting to bring in a Offensive Coordinator until summer. He brought, i think, like 3 coaches from the staff at MTCS. Should be interesting year, and I dont think u will see much spread. Prolly going to look a lot like his teams when he was at Smyrna. Independence comes to Blackman May 8th for their first scrimmage and then the website said they are going to Bob Jones High School in Alabama for the second scrimmage.

Guys...lol..GT runs the flexbone.....2 tight slots and a FB.....you see orbit motion with the flexed slots....a traditional wing t has a wing (positioned outside a TE) and either 2 backs (traditional wing-t) or one back and a tight slot on the weak side... They have their similarities, but Urban Myers spread in Florida has a lot of single wing ideas in it, but its still called the spread. You are correct

Well the talent could be down if what I hear about Wells is correct, a few of the starters may be following their coach across town. And about the facilities, Blackman doesnt have anything other than a stadium....doesnt LaVergne have a field house and stuff?? I do have to agree with the school environment though, Blackman much better then Lavergnes

Once again guys blackmans not been in the spread...and i could prolly see them not in it again...with the way patton and bowers are running the ball...from what ive seen ...they are averaging over 5 yards a carry. TE, 2 back is prolly what they will stay in the rest of the year

Ive not always seen eye to eye with the coaching staff...you can look at my posts over the years....but with this.....i can prolly understand why somethings are different with players...the player that missed a practice has been on the team for 4 years...the staff knows him....the new kid is under a whole different microscope..the coaches really dont know him...and he prolly came to the team with 2 strikes already against him...for his actions at his previous school and getting kicked off of that team....i dont know...just my thoughts

Its good but Blackmans is better (www.blackmanfootball.com)..Wilson centrals is also good..Smyrna has a pretty good one...but Oaklands and Siegels arent very good..while Lebanons..hasnt been updated in a while

Did Smyrna scrimmage some one?...I assume that would mean 7 on 7....how did they do...they will have to be able to pass or teams will load 9 in the box to stop Bryson...which is something teams have not been able to do in a LONG time...since Smyrna had Wolke and Sonny and Rod.

10 of those losses were in 2005..Blackman was AWFUL..not one player would have started anywhere else in the county except for wallace and mimms. and Blackman D has been pretty bad up till last year..it has gotten better.. so I wouldnt put all those 24 losses on the back of wallace.. But again he is gone and since this is a smyrna board...do u think the offensive coordinator will try to run smyrnas QB as much as he did wallace... I heard rumors about SMyrna going spread and putting the meadows kid at QB and using him like wallace.

Actually, I looked at Blackmans website and here are his stats for the 2007 season: 1081 Yards Passing 855 Yards Rushing So that equals out to:1936 Total Yards Now I did say "he did was go for about 2000 rushing and passing"....so he didnt hardly get 2000 but very close...And cmon was he going to beat out Rod or Sonny....so of course he wasnt going to get MVP.

LOL.cmon..he never even won a game as a freshman QB..I think they went 1-7 when he was a freshman and Kirkland wheeler started at QB the game they won Thats kool though...everyone is entitled to their opinion Hopefully Wallace will have a great career at Tennessee Tech

IMO you want your best player to have the ball in his hands....at QB he had his hands on the ball EVERY play. Who would u have had at QB?
