Great post HB you must have interview at Summit because you said it right!!! Now concerning Centennial I believe that Middle Tn. will be shocked at who gets this job and it is a sleeping giant!!! Best of luck to all the WCS who are hiring Football Coaches and I hope to see Williamson Couny back in the State Championships next year.

Did you play for Coach Rathbone?

Summit is in District 12 AA and will be a 4A school for the next 2 football seasons; after that they will move up to District 11 AAA and be a 5A school in football for the next 4 years. I agree that Centennial is a sleeping giant and they should move up to 6A ball in 2 years the student growth at that time will be bigger than Brentwood. The one school that will be hit is Ravenwood when the new high school is built in the Northeast; alot of the football players come from that area of the county.

This district will miss OC if he leaves for Lincoln County. If he stays Giles will be in the race for the top.

I look for District 12 AA to be alot stronger next year top to bottom. At least 3 teams could make it out of the second round next year.

Does anyone know what kind of money Doc makes at Giles? Is Lincoln County willing to pay him more? Would Doc consider more money verus home cooking? Could there be a school further north that would pay more? Questions that only one person can answer and I don't think he reads CoachT.

I agree with 1 and 9 but I think Marshall with be 2 then Giles, Lewis, Spring Hill, Page, East Hickman, Hickman.

Is he interested in being a Head Coach again? There are a lot of good assistant coaches in the county that could be good Head Coaches if giving the support needed to be successful; Eubanks at Centennial; Winfree at Brentwood; Rathbone at Page; Webb at BGA; etc. My only question is who is going to put their name in the running for the job?

1)TSSAA put in the Hall of Fame game for money in basketball, so just add $5.00 to the ticket of the first game of the year to all 167 games being played on week one; that additional $5.00 goes to TSSAA ($835,000) now we can go to 4 or 5 classes; go back to 8 Regions with 8 to 9 teams in each region, top 4 teams in.($835,000) is based on an average of 1000 paid fans at each 167 game sites. 2)Now go and use the same splits of gate money used in all the other sports, instead of the 50% TSSAA gets now off the gross gate.

How does Franklin County make it when Rhea County won?

The funny thing about the Franklin/Brentwood game tomorrow if Franklin wins they could play each other week 1 of the playoffs.

I wish both teams a safe and hard played game, and may the best team win. As crazy and messed up as the playoffs are check this out; if Franklin wins they could be playing each other in week 1.

Checking out the winners over the weekend 29 teams already have 5 wins or more and at least 6 who have 4 with a good chance of getting #5 this week. That being said the Raptors and Eagles are playing for pride.

Not me I'm almost ready for a houseboat on a quiet lake with a cooler and a fishing pole. I am never going to say never but if I get back in it I may try another state or get into college. Looking at the quadrants for 6A I am afraid that Rutherford County schools are going to be divide between 2 and 3 when it is all said and done; meaning we could see an all Rutherford County finals.

Dan, how about coaching openings for next year, do you know of any in Middle Tn?

I was looking at TSSAA 6A standings and it doesn't look good for Indy and Ravenwood with just 4 wins; that's providing Indy can beat LaVergne this Friday night. Right now it looks like Lincoln County is starting to play pretty good football they might end up with 5 wins along with Houston and White Station.

Hey Dan, what's your prediction for the Franklin-Brentwood game on week 10?

Alright Dan I will explain my thinking. 1) Ravenwood has no chance against Smynra and if they beat Indy that will give them 4 wins. 2)Indy can do no better than 4 wins if they lose at Franklin tomorrow night.3)8 teams ahead of Ravenwood in the standings already have 4 wins; 3 teams have 3 wins that are ranked higher than Ravenwood at the presence. Ravenwood is not in the top 32 right now. Ooltwah will beat McMinn County keeping them in front Siegel can beat LaVergne and Tullahoma to get to five wins Houston can beat 2 of 3 Overton, Collerville, or Southwind to get 5 wins Memphis Central can win their last 3 games putting them at 6 wins William Blount can beat Lenior City to get to 4 wins But as the old saying goes; it aint over till the fat lady sings; but odds are she is warming up her vocals right now.

I agree pack this year is a roller coaster; I think of the old saying the cream will rise to the top; will play out this week. I just wish all teams a healthy last 3 games so they can have a shot at winning some games in the playoffs.
