  1. That's about it. #45 and #21 are ok but neither are great. The team is very young, and really doesn't have any play makers. They play hard and are coached well, but they need more experience.
  2. What's up with eagleville chanting can't be stopped on the sidelines? They have a good team, but they sound like a pep squad over there. Plus they were saying it when they were on defense??? THat is when you want a stop isn't it? Just a thought
  3. I think Giles county really showed that they are a team that deserves some respect. They looked really good last Friday night from what I heard. They have made a claim to be a playoff team this year, and it may very well happen for them.
  4. I heard Giltner was back on the team and playing quarterback this Friday night for Harpeth Is Giltner back? Will he be the signal caller for Harpeth Friday? Should be a good game between two rivals. Cubs win 28-21

  6. I am interested in Bethel this season a lot. I grew up right by Bethel, and there are three guys from Cheatham County that are going to be freshmen. I think Bethel is doing great and I am pulling for them. I drove by a practice the other night, and they have at least 100-120 players out there. Looks like it could be a bright future for the wildcats.
  7. I think the swamp actually is the loudest, but Neyland is by far the best of the stadiums. Not only is it bigger, but the upper deck at Death Valley is like a mile from the field. At Neyland even the upper deck is a good seat. Not at LSU you need binoculars to see that they are even playing football. Also I heard LSU absolutely silent last year in OT against UT. It depends on the game, but the swamp probably gets the loudest because of those big ugly concrete walls around it. Neither can compare to Neyland as a stadium though.
  8. It is in Kentucky, and who cares about Kentucky I know, but when Fulton County Ky used to host games against Fulton City they would flood the bleachers on the away side so that mosquitoes would be all over the Fulton City people. Classless? Maybe, but it sure is funny!
  9. Stewart better think about one game at a time. They lost one game to these little 1A teams last year, and they have a chance to do it again. Gleason and Greenfield won't lay down for them, and all these Stewart county fans on here might have some explaining to do!
  10. Basicall what he said! They are the team to beat until they are beaten.
  11. NO doubt about that one. The score will be whatever Jo Byrns wants it to be I guess.
  12. What about some of the West Tennessee week 0 games? Fulton City KY @ Greenfield GF 28-14 Gleason @ Stewart Co. GL 14-8 Camden @ Westview Camden 28-21 Ridgeway @ Henry Co. Henry Co. 28-21 Dresden @ East Robertson Toss up....ER by 3 DCA @ Jackson Christian DCA 28-14 This is how I see these games going. Let me hear about what you think and how they will go. I know there are other games, but I can't think of them now. List them on your replies too please. Good luck to all these teams Friday.
  13. I thought Greenfield looked pretty good. Lone Oak was the best team, but they are also the biggest. Greenfield and Fulton County were next. Fulton County is a pretty good team, and Greenfield beat them 6-0. I think Greenfield has a good shot to go .500 or even 6-4 this year. This would be a great improvement for them. They can't get back to the good years at once, but its coming back for them I think.
  14. Dude you used the word hogwash not once but twice. That is dispicable. Excuse me for having some state pride. I don't care what you guys think, and I don't particularly care where Donald goes. I know that I am not his advisor, I was just making a statement. I know that if I had the chance to play at a big time school, it wouldn't be a choice for me. Just like Jaques Mclendon. He was good enough to play at a lot of schools, but he was first to commit to Tennessee because he said he wouldn't play anywhere else. THat is commitment and loyalty. U guys wouldn't know loyalty if it slapped you in the face. Don't jump on me for a reasonable statement!!! Slap Nuts!!!
  15. Kyle Christmas is pretty good at Cheatham County. He is playing on a young team though, so I don't know how it will go this season. THe QB at Eagleville is a good player as well.
  16. I don't know about fired, but I think Fulmer should be ashamed if he does lose Donald. I know that these days tradition and pride don't mean too much to kids now, but I think Donald is a good kid that wants to do the right thing which is help his home state team. Playing at Tennessee is an honor. We are second to none. I hope he does what I think is the right thing and signs with the vols. He'll be a hometown favorite for his whole career there. I think he should talk to Harrell about it. Harrell wasn't as big of a recruit as Donald, and Harrell has loved it up there. Everyone pulls for him because he is from TN. Maybe Donald will see that too.
  17. Great that sounds like it has some promise. I hope he gets to go to a good school like Bama. I want anyone from the area there in West Tennessee to go as far as they can. Would like to see him play somewhere besides Bama though. Good luck to those guys at Dresden and all other athletes there in west Tennessee. And Donald if you read this....GO VOLS!!!! You'd look better With that T on the Helmet than in you would with the irish!!!
  18. I hope you are right. I hope Vallee goes to a huge school, but the chances are slim. I know from experiences that I had there is a difference in being "recruited" and getting letters from schools. I was being "recruited" by ole miss, miss st., and Notre Dame, but I was only getting letters from Tennessee and Florida St. and other big time schools. There is a difference. I don't know how good Vallee's grades are either. People forget about that. Grades have a huge role in recruiting. That was the one reason Notre Dame was looking at me they must have high grades. If Vallee or Hewitt have some great grades, they could go to a bigger school than if they were a C student. Good luck to them this year. I hope they both have great seasons.
  19. Westview will struggle a little this year. If you ask them they would say the same. THey are well coached however, so I think they will be ok. I don't however see them making the playoffs this year. I think they just lost too much last year. Good luck to everyone in 7-2A though. Should be an interesting season to say the least.
  20. Eagleville looked pretty good against Cheatham County today. They both tied at 5 touchdowns a piece. Cheatham is very young this year, but Eagleville has a real shot at winning this region.
  21. What? I don't understand what your post means. Explain please???
  22. Classy post there big country. Eagleville looked pretty good, and you heard it here first, I think they have a real chance to win that region. Jo Byrns better pack a lunch when they play eagleville. It won't be a walk in the park. They are a good 1A team.
  23. You're exactly right Big County. Huntington will be a dominant team this year, and with the addition of McAdams, you might can pencil them in a trip to the state title game. But, games aren't played on paper. There's a long way to go till November
  24. Thanks buddy, and thank you too Big Country. I don't know what I did to people on here, but I will appologize for whatever it is. I never meant to bother anyone, and I don't want anyone else running my name in the ground. I will just try to do the best I can do at Cheatham. They have a great staff here, and I'll just try to add to that. As far as baseball goes...we'll just have to see what we can do.
  25. I know Cheatham County has some good sophomore players. Not sure about the names yet, but that class has some players in it.
