To be the best you gotta beat the best. I'm sure there are plenty teams that could care less who they played, as long as they are in the state tournament, and have a shot. This isn't a "please the fans" event. Its the state tournament where the big boys play.

That's just what they told you about why you got kicked off.... we all know the real reason. I guess they thought I would be better at basketball, if you catch my drift.

I got kicked off my middle school team for a rule similar to this my 7th grade year. I actually did play 6v6 and still got the boot, lol. We still won the county title tht year, and instead of playing middle school soccer I hit the basketball court.

If you are talking about just basketball I would have to agreem DC brings it. I remember a few years ago when DC played Fulton at the boro and it went into double OT I think. I know it was atleast 1 overtime. I actually sat in the DC section and it was rockin.

well I have 2 windows open atm....icing people in mafia wars and this...stress reliever to kill in browser game...haaaaahaaaaaa!!!! Acting like they are refs.. Modern Warfare 2 would be great for stress relief. Never know, you could actually be playing one of the refs online.

How did Hixson do in the playday on Saturday at Camp Jordan? I saw Hixson in one of their 40 min sessions. They seem to have a very solid team, some skill, some speed, some size...... I'm not sure I would call them a force. I do believe that they have what they need to contend in their district. BUT Hey....Time will tell. I was not there to see Boyd play. Anyone else happen to see them?

Whats going on this pre season around Chatt? I have seen a few results on here about CCS. I will have to get in contact with my Boyd guys to see how they have been doing, may try and hit up a practice next week. Haven't heard anything about Ooltewah, Soddy, Hixson, etc. I know Boyd was suppose to play Bradley Central in a scrimmage this past Thursday, but I haven't heard anythign about it. They have some play day at Camp Jordan today maybe? They end the preseason playing Ooltewah in a scrimmage on March 11. MVM where are you at?

Exactly.....which is why I asked the guy if it was mandatory. He shifted his eyes and said yes, then tried to say it had something to do with the TSSAA. I told his that was BS and wanted to argue with him more but the spouse just handed him the $3.00 because a cop was coming over there and there was a line of vehicles behind us. I'm so stubborn that I would have pulled to the side to argue my case with him and the cop. I wrote an e-mail letter this morning to East Hamilton's Principal, Mrs. Pam Dantzler (dantzler_p@hcde.org). I hope many other's do too. Leave the East Hamilton Principal out of it ... DON'T YOU THINK SHE HAS SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT TO DO THAN REPLY TO EMAILS FROM A BUNCH OF CHEAPSKATES WHO ARE GRIPING OVER 3 FREAKIN' DOLLARS??? If you are going to list her email address, then list yours as well! I agree on this one. Posting the email address was a little much, especially over 3 bucks. I guess we won't see any of these people at the state tournament lol.

Got the 2010 football schedule, which is the same as last year, except they did add a game since David Brainerd closed. They will be playing Pope John Paul II out of Nashville. Anyone know anything about them? I know that Golden Tate went there a couple years ago before heading to Notre Dame.

As a coach, it probably doesn't matter as much. As you said in your post, coaches like to figure the team out and try new things. As a former player, I hated losing and always wanted to win, no matter if it was a region final, or a scrimmage.

Thanks Reaction ,and good luck to you guys as well. I think you guys lost quite a bit ,but as always ,you will be a very solid contender.That SM bunch is the one Ihave my eyes on this year. We did lose a lot. I think we will be fine this year. As long as the kids continue to work hard in the off season. We have a pretty good schedule to work with so hopefully come play off time we will be playing our best football.

Game rescheduled for next Tuesday because of road conditions in Morristown. Both coaches would rather play it safe, and wait for better conditions. You will get mail from an unknown source soon sir.

Juggling is def. overrated. I couldn't juggle worth a crap either. I'm not sure how try outs are done at Boyd now. When I was in high school, pretty much everyone made the team. We didn't have enough people try out to cut lol.

Does this mean you will hire me as the new assistant?
