I would have to add Red Bank's freshman class to this thread..seeing how most of them played for the varsity this year and won region 4-4a!

Expect Ooltewah to be nipping at Oak Ridge's heels this up and coming year.. Ooltewah returns Dewayne Caldwell rb,Zach Woods qb,Kyler Burke lb-fb,Blake McDade, A host of lineman and special teams guys...i believe region 2-5a will be a dog fight between Ooltewah and Oak Ridge....Oak Ridge has probably the best back in the state returning next year in Gulmire... Soddy will have a little work to do but word from the Trojans fortress is they will be just as good or better with a lot of the guys returning had a lot of playing time this past season.. Farragut....watch out for these guys to knock some people off this coming season...Very well coached team and also alot back for them as well.... If Rankin is in Cleveland coaching this time next year I would have to make Oak Ridge the preseason favorite to win the Gold Ball next season....2-5a and 4-5a are very tuff next season..should be better than this past season

How great that would be..Cleveland with Rankin,Bradley with Allen...recruiting wars in Cleveland between the two...A rivalry already that has been on fire for years and now dumping another turck load of gasoline onto it! WOW!

1A Trousdale or Tennessee Temple 2A Alcoa,Boyd,Tyner,DCA 3A Fulton,Notre Dame,White House 4A Maryville 5A Riverdale and I will say Ooltewah only because of the seniors they are returning..They only lose like 2 or 3 seniors this year!

This is the infamous Football Foley and i would have to say as well that Coach Akins,his staff,the players,and the fans are the classiest football team around not trying to take away from others down here in Chattanooga cause I love you all but all year long they have catered to myself and stump doing radio,coming down and doing tv with us as well and i do have to say they are very loving people...They welcome everyone with open arms at Boyd and i just want to say thanks to all of them for leting me be a part of their fantastic school and season this year and wish nothing but the best for all of them..They are a blessing to all those kids at Boyd... And to the football team....You guys should be proud of your accomplishments....a record for the seniors of 38-6, 2 state runner ups and 1 state title in 3 consecutive years...Thats a record to be proud of..Not many teams can say they have made it to the title game once....i am proud of you guys as is everybody else...May God Bless you in whatever you do!!

Boyd has nothing to prove! Look they have been in that title game the past 2 years and this will be the third in a row...coach Akins will have them prepared to play! As well as the DCA coach will have his team ready to play...I tell ya I see this as being all upon the defenses of both teams...Whoever can stop the other one ...I believe there will be a lot of scoring..Peardon is great...Wooden is great..they both have great O-lines and great blocking fullbacks...It's gonna be a classic slobber knocker....Defense , Special Teams,and making no mistakes will win this game....whoever has success in at leasts 2 of the 3 will win this ball game..

Actually Chattcity,Boyd is the underdog! DCA has been demolishing people right out of the gate...Boyd is the underdog and let it stay that way..Boyd always plays their best when they are the underdog!

Congrats Oak Ridge on a great season..You guys definitely are the top dog in 2-5a!! And congrats to Riverdale who is definitely the TOP dog In 5A throughout the state...You guys deserve that gold ball for beating a very well coached very tuff and athletic team in Oak Ridge....!!!!

I am not a Coalfield fan,but I was at the game last night and was very impressed with the Coalfield football team....You guys played your hearts out and you never gave up and thats what football is all about and congrats on being the first Morgan Co. team to make it to the state semifinals...You guys have great fans as well ..Very classy people on the field and in the stands!!

Most kids go in as athletes...He would be a great option quarterback...I know they are not D-1 but He would fit in really well at Carson -Newman at qb since they are an optioned based offense...But I do think he could play D-1...Maybe a mid major...Marshall,Memphis,MTSU....possibly even Vandy!

Zach Helton is gonna make a great D-1 prospect from Knox Central as well as the defensive end who is a sophmore..I don't know if zach will follow todd in baseball but either way he will be playing D-1 ball....If you guys haven't see that defensive end for knox central you will be hearing his name a lot in the next two years....I would predict with the team they have coming back they will make a very legitimate run for a Region and maybe even a state title they look veryy good for next season..

Yes the two best teams in 1A will be playing in probably the best title game ever in TSSAA High School Football History!! GO BUCS!

In my 13 years of following high school football I have never seen better coaching than that of what Boyd-Buchanan has going on...Coach Akins and Coach Reynolds and their staff are some of the best around....Second half adjustments and the few risks they take have paid off all year long..It's really hard to coach a team to three straight trips to the championship game in the Boro...Looking for the second consecutive championship!! They don't have the biggest players or the fastest,but they have some of the best executing players I have ever seen and they believe in their coaching and their system!! Whether they win or not this coming weekend hats off to the whole Boyd-Buchanan family!!!

I for one think it would be great to see Riverdale and DB play two of the 2-5a teams at the begining of the year...You know one week have Riverdale @ Ooltewah and Dobyns-Bennett @ Soddy-Daisy and switch it up the next week! I am with you Serge!!!!!
