You need to get your facts straight before you go posting. Carol has been staying with her Mother some who is ill. They have a house in the North Side district that they have had for many years. She does work in Milan, but I don't think there is a TSSAA law that says where a Parent has to work. The twins who are by the way only 6'0" tall, have gone to school their entire lives in Jackson and completed middle school at North East which is North Side's feeder school. They moved to Colorado their freshmen year for Carol to help her mother. Her mother decided to move back home to Milan so therefore Carol and the girils did. Coach Lowery didn't know anything about them moving back until the guidance counselor told him he had two girls transferring in. Coach Lowery has been in this business for many years and is a fair, honest coach. Don't go accusing a good man of doing years of honest work. He just happens to know the game.

Don't count on seeing Pat Summit. She doesn't recruit in West Tennessee. Let me name a few that she let get away. Sha Brooks-Florida, Bianca Thomas-Ole Miss, and a few more. Sha beat the Lady Vols almost by herself last year at Tennessee. The announcers for the game kept asking, how did this girl get away from us. Well to answer that question, Pat Summitt doesn't recruit West Tennessee. The Florida Lady Gators actually have 6 Tennessee girls currently on their roster. This isn't saying much for the Lady Vols.

Henry Co. is not taking NS for granted. Being a former Indian player I was at the game Friday night and talked to McNairl (Henry Co. QB) myself. I still believe that my Indians can take this. They must bring their A game though. They have been so close in every game (except SS) this year. Make us proud Indians!

Jackson North Side should be a top contender. You have 3 All-Staters: Delk, Cliff and Ross.

Who wins this game? Alot is on the line. Right now there is a 4-way tie for 3rd place, with all 4 teams having only 1 region win, with two left to play. Could make for a very interesting last couple of weeks.

To the Wise Individual who said that a Coach deserves everything they get. You have no Idea what all they "GET." These are Fathers and Husbands that receive more abuse than you could ever imagine as well as their families. Yes they did choose this professional, but not for the Money. They love seeing young people excel in every aspect of their lives. And I am sure that you are not the one they call when in need or come to see when they are grown and successful. You can bash coaches all you want, I guess it's your right. But walk in their shoes before you become such a "EXPERT."

I thought this was a forum about the JCM-North Side game. I really believe it will be a great game. Go Indians!

I will give South Side alot of credit. They are a good football team. But North Side had 10 starters out for disciplinary reasons. South Side would have probably won anyway, but it would have been a little closer game. The little running back that was referred to was not even a running back. He was just placed in that position due to the other starters not being eligible to play. I wish South Side the best of luck.

I'm not quite sure where you got your information about NS. They have their entire Offensive line and QB back and they are all 3 year starters. Also a few new to be looked at seriously. NS may surprise alot of people this year.

NS should be descent. They didn't lose much of the O line and they do still have their QB. Most of the line and the QB will be three year starters. So it is now or never for them. The defense is the big ????. Can they stop anybody.

Where did you get your report that Parker has a broken thumb? News to us at NS. He took a foul ball off his thumb Tuesday night, just swollen. Not broken. Unless you have more reliable information than we do.

Looks like "Daddy" is a proud poppa, But not a good way to build team unity, especially when he is just a Freshmen.

Was this a complete game? I thought you had to complete 5 innings. It was called in the bottom of the 5th with only 1 out. Maybe we were misinformed. It was stated to us as a NO contest. On well, Good game. Hate that Parker did not get the win. Let it be known that the score was 5-2 NS when they took Parker out.

It is my understanding that there will be NO high school regulation size fields.

Go to tssaa.org and look at the girls' state results. If you look at the NS -Hillcrest results you will see the ALL tournment team.

NS has been AAA up until this year and has gone to the State the last 4 out of 6 years. Not really sure how they dropped in basketball, but not in football. And also, JCM which is located in Jackson, has fewer students than NS but they remained AAA. NS can compete at any level. That was proven this last week. This was a great tournament with alot of REALLY good teams. Congrats to ALL.

How can a girl that was a candidate for Miss Basketball with a 4.0 gpa not qualify academically? I found it very hard to believe that she had a 4.0. When she was announced yesterday it was said that she had a gpa of 4.0. I just listened to her press conference and I really doubt that she has a gpa of 4.0. She couldn't even make a sensible sentence. Not nearly as impressed with her as #21 and #24.

NS just dropped down to AA this year. They have been to the BORO but they were AAA.

It is hard to believe that a team that lost 4 starters (including Florida standout, Sha Brooks) is back for a 3rd staight year. This is a program that has been to the BORO 4 out of the last 6 years. Great job Coach Lowery and Lady Indians. 3rd time is charm. Bring home that GOLD ball.

Sorry to hear about Valencia's shoulder dislocation. We had heard that she was a very good player. I was at the game and saw her go down but did not realize the extent of her injury. I did notice that she came back in and seemed to be fine for the rest of the game.

OC shot 28 out of 33 free throws. That is 85%. You cannot possibly tell me that they can shoot any better. Free throws are what kept them in the game. I just hope they shoot that good Saturday night against Hillcrest so they will make it to the Boro. I am wishing all West Tennessee teams the best of luck. Hope to see ya next week.

I beg to differ on the NS defense. OC only had a total of 17 baskets. The rest were free throws. NS had a total of 30 baskets.

What are your thoughts on NS vs BT Washington? No doubt that NS is the favorite, but BT Washington can't be to shabby to have beaten Mitchell and then Hillcrest only 18. I am wondering if Hillcrest subed to give their girls some rest. Let's just hope the refs don't get too involved in the game and let there be a game instead of foul shot shooting (ONLY)!
