  1. Sounds like them moving to 2A is just at the right time for a title chance.
  2. Will they be strong for the foreseeable future?
  3. Y’all got coaches wanting to return since the talent is good again? That sounds like the way that coach at York Institute does from time to time.
  4. This is the start of a new 2 year schedule. I would like to have seen that game again as well. I saw that Sequatchie County isn’t First now. It’s been moved to fourth. What does your schedule look like? Anyone from Tennessee?
  5. Moore County should have a team that can win it next year. Then Superman graduates and he’s not replaceable.
  6. I counted around 43-45 football playing schools in 1A in 2009. Now I believe we have more than that in each D1 class. So I guess my point is we have more than that in 1A now so when that talk starts of classes being more watered down.. according to the first numbers from 6 classes in D1 for 2009 that’s not quite what the numbers show.
  7. Some of you better watch all the 1A is going to be weaker chatter. You will make some of our fellow posters very upset with assumptions such as that one.
  8. Does anyone know how many total football playing schools we had in 2009 when they went to these classes in comparison to now?
  9. That’s never going to happen in the public sector. The schools with 150 kids would be playing schools with 650-700. If they wanted to cut anything it should be the private division. Count the teams per class there compared to the public. That private league only needs 2 classes.
  10. Didn’t have any trouble with that feat this year. Gordonsville had 80 players? You will be a force for the foreseeable future.
  11. Fayetteville may have had the best overall talent. In the top 3-4 divisions. I watched their McKenzie game and it was impressive. Moore County has Superman playing for them another year. They could go 15-0 with that offense.
  12. As of now Moore County is the odds on favorite to win the 1A gold ball in 2023.
  13. I agree with you. The crime capital of our state probably wouldn’t be ideal.
  14. They need to bid on them if they want to get it. Nashville hasn’t bid on it either.
  15. You need to get out of Carrol County more. This guy isn’t an SP person.
  16. Tell them to bid on hosting. They haven’t been mentioned as even attempting to bid on the games. What you’re saying is like wanting to win the lottery, but you never buy tickets.
  17. I missed this one. Picked Tyner by 21. Riverside played their butts off. After watching it, I’m not even sure the best team won. Congrats to Tyner on the win though.
  18. Good luck to Tyner today. I know you will represent our area well. Tyner by 21
  19. That’s what I thought as well. The McKenzie talent was rare for 1A. It’s not often you have an athlete that can choose his school like #7. They were an extremely talented team. In the end, the difference in athleticism proved to be the difference. Congrats on a gold ball and enjoy that bullseye being on you now. lol
  20. In my opinion McKenzie had 3 times the amount of athletes as Clay. Someone got butt hurt over it. It’s an opinion just like yours above. Nothing more to make out of it. Have a nice night.
  21. I didn’t slight anyone sir. How many athletes from Clay will sign scholarship papers? I was told McKenzie has D1 kids. If someone is a D3 kid and another kid is a D1 kid. Doesn’t that pretty much equate to 3 times? Great season by Clay. It’s one that doesn’t come around often. You had a bunch of kids that played hard and we’re good High School football players.
  22. I agree with you. McKenzie had three times the talent. They had chances in the first half to go up three scores and pissed it away. Good win regardless.
  23. Game wasn’t as close as the score indicated. McKenzie had a lot of studs. Congrats on the win.
  24. McKenzie by…I’m thinking something like 42-14
