How many players will Riverdale lose to Blackman due to the rezoning? We heard approximately 300 students.

Does Blackman really need a player that has been kicked off the team twice? How long will he last at Blackman? A loss for Smyrna? Maybe, or maybe just a little less of a distraction. Is the kid an athlete? YES! But, you can't play if you can't stay on the team.

I would think Blackman. They do have quite a few of your former Stewarts Creek Middle players on the team.

I'm not sure about the parking, but I did hear today that almost all pre-sale seating was sold out. It looks if you have not gotten your advanced seating you will be standing by the fence. I think the bottom three rows of the visitor side was left, but not sure. I can assure you, that Blackman is not going to charge for parking. Also, Blackman doesn't have reserved seating.

Legal- I'm sure. Having the money to be able to do that is something else

If a player wants to attend Blackman next year, they will have to move from living in the Smyrna zone to actually living in the Blackman school zone. As far as I know Rutherford Co. is pretty strict on not giving out zone exemptions. If they were able to get an exemption, according to TSSAA they would have to sit out a year if they had played at the varsity level at the school they previously attended.

Who said a parent got the coach fired? I guess it was the parents that ran Coach Alsup off too when he left.

As a Blackman parent who has worked their butt off for that football program for 7 years, I resent that. You may think you know "most" of the parents, but I can assure you that "most" of the parents are NOT vultures and do everything that they can to help support the players and the coaches and I can tell you that support will continue whoever the next head coach at Blackman may be. Obviously there are a few parents that are there just for their own kids, but I'm sure it's like that at Oakland and every other school too. Blackman is a great school and I'm proud that my children attend Blackman.

Who transferred to Clarkrange? Was it the player from Monterey?

It's always been at Tullahoma. Last year I think it was Nov. 1st., not sure of the date this year.

Gerald House played at least a couple of years of youth football in Smyrna. My son was on the same team. They called him G.J. then.

NO- you don't. I don't know who you think you're talking about, but I'm definately not an administrator, coach, or teacher from Smyrna. All I did was state that the rumor was the new head coach was going to be Coach Williams.
