Considering that Smith County only has one player who has any experience, I thought they held their own. Coach Melton really has his work cut out for him, but I believe he is up for the challenge and I KNOW that the Smith County Family is up for it! GO OWLS!!!!

Don't believe the parents at Smith County will EVER FEEL or ACT the way the parents at LA did last year. They LOVE it when good role models teach and take care of their children! They are use to it. Parents at Smith County don"t fuss if their children get to play or not. they want them to be a part of something special that they can remember for their rest of their lives. I would guess if you ask the former players at LA they would probably feel like the Smith County Families feel about Coach Melton (all, not just players). Great job Coach Melton, Coach Hackett and the players. Smith County is VERY PROUD of you!!!!!!!!

It is true. The OWLS did beat Upperman. The score was 56 43. Yes the OWLS are pretty hot right now with victories over Cannon, LA, and Upperman. Hope they keep it up. Coaching change and playing more players have really turned this team around. GO OWLS!

Alot of talk about Cannon, Upperman, and Livingston, I am beginning to believe that everyone is over looking Smith County. I wonder if the wins over the top three teams(some think)were really upsets? Maybe not. That's the way they like it in Smith County. Nobody really giving them much of a chance. Seems they have surprised alot of people. They sure play hard and with alot of fire.Hopefully that will take them a long way.

You are right. Livingston does have alot of talent in their program, and always have had. However,in my opinion, Carr was the floor general, who seemed to be able to play several different positions. Not flashy by any means, but definitely a solid contributor. As I understand it LA is returning everyone from last season, but all the games that I saw, there was basically a 6 man rotation. If that was still the case, I don't see how you would think that she wouldn't be missed. UHS WINS DISTRICT!!!

No I didn't want to get it off my chest! Just thought some of you FINE FULTON FANS might pass along to your NOT SO FINE FANS that the sign was very hurtful and a personal attack on someone who did not deserve it. Didn't mean to hit a nerve. Just wanted to help it from happening to some other young athlete. The sign was not very CREATIVE in the fist place. but it could have been done in a more tasteful manner!!!! Good luck next week.

Truly was an exciting game Friday night. Everyone hates to get beat at that point in the season. Fulton was an excellent team just as SMITH CO. was. The sign was a direct hit at a personal people. Tacky!!! The sign could have had several punch lines that showed support for your team and respect to the opposing team. Example: Back to Back State Championships---PRICELESS Road to the State------ PRICELESS FULTON FALCON FOOTBALL-----PRICELESS P.S. Don't mind if you decide to use one of them instead of calling out players. They are really still children that have timid feelings even though we tend to forget that when they are out thre on the field conducting themselves like men. GREAT SEASON OWLS!!! You made your school, community, coaches and your PARENTS PROUD!!!!!

Well it's pretty obvious to me that everyone who is in the top 20 in the state must be good coaches or they wouldn't be there! Let the coaches vote on who the best coaches are. Believe me , they know who works extra hard and who puts in those long sleepless nights coming up with those extra things that might throw the other team off. We all love our coaches if they are helping win games!!!! If they are working like all of the coaches that I personally know, then they are all winners! Coaching is not a great payiny occupation!!! Hats off to all TEACHERS and COACHES

I sure hope that those people in the stands tonight that were critizing the coaching is getting their degrees so that they can start coaching those OWLS so that they can win more than this team has(12 of 14) (school record)! Coaches must have done something right (picked 4th in the region finished 1st) GREAT SEASON OWLS! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!!!

Hey LA WILDCAT, I'm sure your buddy I LOVE H S FOOTBALL has something you could borrow for the game Friday night. If he doesn't I' m sure some of his family can get their hands on something to wear. He probably has a little inside source! Congrats to LA on a great season. It was good to see some of my old friends and family members at the game Fri.

No doubt, Michael Wilmore from Smith County would have to be in the top.
