The Eagles will soar to new heights this Friday night and it will be the second time in as many weeks that the Green Wave have traveled to the Smokies and got beat! They are very good offensively, but they do have a problem defending the pass and the Eagles just happen to have one of the better QBs in the area. Also the running game is showing signs of life and could further complicate things for the Midway D. Any way this should be a very good game none-the-less with the Eagles Taking a 24-14 victory and heading to the Nest with a lot of confidence and looking for a rematch at home with the Hampton Bulldogs! GO EAGLES!

I'll tell you why Onieda can't win! 1. Offensive balance by the dogs. The Lyons kid is a huge threat and small Mike can get the ball to him, also the running game isnt in as bad a shape as any one that doesnt know the program might think. 2. SIZE! The dogs are huge up front, strong, and VERY physical! 3. Homefield. The DOG POUND will be rocking Friday night and that should play a huge role in the outcome of this game! 4. Adam Townsend! The dogs are looking to get him back later in the playoffs and Im sure the team will use this as motivation to go out and put on a show Friday night. 5. Simply put, Hampton is better! They have the size, athletes, and the homefield, plus they are just simply better! Good luck to the dogs from this Eagle, go out and take care of buisness and lets show Region 2 how we do it up here in the Upper East corner of the state!

Look for the names Jody and Cody Lowe. They are twins from Cosby High School and they are both very athletic and very quick. Look for these two to make some noise this fall, you can count on it!

First of all Im not from Maryville or my screen name would be Rebelcoach1024, that makes sense right? Next I dont care if you can deadlift 1000 lbs that doesnt mean jack in the game of football, and it doesnt mean that you know anything about the real world. The real world doesnt revolve around weightlifting it revolves around football! You dont have to be overly strong to be a great football player, I thought a man as smart as you could figure that out, wait a minute youre from Cloudland, I forgot to figure that into my analysis of your IQ, any way as far as strength in football it helps, but the dieing dynasty you speak of in Maryville, they are out manned and out athleted most of the time and they still find a way to keep stockpiling rings, so until a program out there figures out how to out-coach Quarles and somehow out execute the Rebels youll continue to see the Red and Black hoisting Gold Footballs in the air in Murfreesboro. So get off the beef roids and pay a little more attention to your posts, or have an idea about what youre talking about and I will stop making you look stupid!

Weightlifting is the only thing you could challenge Maryville at! You've got to be kidding me, Cloudland calling out the Rebs? Thats like swimmin' with Jaws. You all have a nice A program but youre calling out the biggest dynasty in Tennessee highschool football history. If I was just guessing I would probably say that the only thing they are worried about is what finger to put their next ring on, so its safe to say that they are not worried about what the big Highlanders think about them, you guys wear skirts right, and that includes some degenerate that watches to much wrestling. Get off the pay-per-views and pay a little more attention to whats going on in the real world "brother."

You've got your facts messed up Jack! If you want to know who was really talking and thinking bad things about the players you might want to look at some other people. I have nothing but good wishes for the players and the program at Pigeon Forge. I hope that they do well and I will always have a little orange and black in my blood. I still have a cousin on the staff and left several good friends that I've made at the school over the years. If you think I'm a so called coach why don't you go ask some of the boys if they would like to have me back, better yet why don't you go ask Coach Smith the defensive coordinator if he would like to have me back. I have nothing but good wishes for the football program and I left on my own to persue another job, so don't get on here and talk about things you don't know anything about. Tennis and Golf, real athletic sports bud! I play golf, you dont have to be an athlete you have to have superior hand-eye cordination, kinda like baseball.

I have two possibly three, I coach at Cosby High School where people dont even really know that we have a football team even though we went 6-5 and barely lost in the first round to a very athletic Harriman team. We have a prototype drop-back passer at QB who will probably throw for close to or over 2000 yards next season named Kelvin Rone. We also have quite possibly the best shut-down corner in east TN 1-A ball that had 7 picks despite teams constantly throwing away from his side of the field named Jody Lowe, and his twin brother Cody will be entering his Sr season and only the second year of his football career with maybe a little more pure athletic ability than his brother. So theres three for yall to watch out for next season! GO EAGLES!

Hampton has had a great season, and they might beat Coalfield Friday night but I think they are going home. BUT, it doesn't matter any way because nobody will beat Trousdale! They win 1-A in a walk.

The wildcatds are the more talented team BUT, SC does a great job at defending the run and they have enough athletes to where if they can keep it close into the second half watch out....I like OR closer than everyone thinks, 24-14

Yeah very tough, I know that South Doyle stinks, but I guess they shouldnt have included the Govs as a part of that "who's who" list because they usually stink! As for Coach Ratledge he is without a doubt the best high school DC in the state! If WB can't find a way to throw the football, and I doubt they can this will be a blowout for the Smoky Bears, obviously Govman seems to think they have figured out their airial attack but this coach is not so sure, SC by 10! Go Bears, by the way, has WB beat SC in the last 15 years?

You must be smoking some of the stuff that killed Elvis! Sevier Co has the best coaching staff in the state aside from Maryville. It doesnt matter what Meadows has planned Coach Kenny Ratledge will have a counter, I gaurentee it. I like SCHS in a close one. 24-17

All the respect in the world for what Coach Householder and his staff has done this year with all the injuries they have sustained, but Fulton will roll in this one, Coach Coatney and his staff will not allow his squad to overlook anybody in the playoffs, this is their time of year!

I agree with Catholic, and Fulton is the two time defending champs so they are not going to sneak up on anybody. But again I say this, LA will beat Carter because they are simply better and Carter is overrated! Look out for Pigeon Forge and LA coming out of the top bracket of the Region 1-2 playoff battles but I think if the Rogan kid can stay healthy the Falcons will go on to threepeat as 3-a champs.

I say again thats fine, Im not trying to fight with you either, I edited my post so you wouldnt think that I was a jerk. I was just saying that first of all I do not coach at CHS, secondly I can recognize a compliment so again I appreciate it but dont give it to me give it to Coach Shelton and his staff for pulling the Eagles out of the cellar and post a very respectable season, one which they were not out of any game all year until the bitter end. By continuing on what the h@#& does that mean? They are a respectable 6-4, its not like they are 2-8 and snuck in on a fluke! Sounds like theyve continued on all year, their season didnt end after any loss this season, theyve not give up at any time this season and the way I hear it if it wouldnt have been for a few costly penalties they wouldve beaten North Greene. I appreciate the props again but I do not coach at CHS but I have family that does including Coach Shelton as for King I guess we share the same opinion. I can appreciate your pick but you dont have to go and insult anybody. I dont coach at CHS but I do know Coach Shelton personally and he is one of the best human beings you would ever hope to meet! By the way you can be a teacher and not have good typing skills, unless you teach key boarding, he teaches PE and he also teaches at Tusculum College during the summer so he is also a very intelligent person so try to get some facts about people before you insult them or their county. As for Turtle, I am a coach and you obviously are not because if you were you would know that coaches are not supposed to know when they have no chance because if you are a coach worth your salt you always believe you've got a shot or you need to go find another profession!

I agree with most of you people saying that Carter isnt that good. If Pigeon Forge doesn't turn the ball over 4 times and they win, even if with the 4 TO's they still should've won but one of the INTS went back for 6. Yeah Carter went 9-1 but they are the worst 9-1 team in the state! I like LA in a close one, but a possible blow out because LA is the only team in the last 7 weeks to keep Fulton any where in sight. As for Pigeon Forge they have a tough test against a very athletic A-E team, but dont count them out, they play good solid defense and the offense has come to life in the last few games.

Hey turtle anything can happen or they wouldnt even have the playoff bracket. As far as you guys go you had to move down to 1-A to even have a chance at winning, if my mind serves me right and I think it does, you all got your butts handed to you in just about every game last year as a 2-A school. I'm sure the Eagles appreciate your props but all they are saying is that they would like another crack at you they never said that they would beat you. I mean can you people not recognize the difference between trash talk and when someone says they would just like another chance at you? I think if the Eagles can stay away from giving up big plays and not turn the ball over they have a more than good chance of winning this game. Go Eagles! And you're acting like your a state power from year to year. What has Hampton done before this year! Not a whole lot.

Yeah he might be a good person but he cheats at golf! I would say what you do on the golf course but not every one needs to know you play with an eraser on your pencil. Just kidding good luck and go getem' I don't know exactly what Harriman has but if you guys show up and play theres no doubt you can beat em'.

Hey Shelton, I think you and Oldeagle need to learn how to spell and type! Good luck Friday night, This tigercoach is very interested to see how far you and Hall can take these kids. Again good luck I wish I could be there, but win this one for all those people that think CHS is just a basketball school, getting back to that real quick, if any of you boys from CHS reads this stuff and you play basketball and not football because you think you have a better chance getting a scholarship because thats the BS your new headcoach has been layin on you, consider this, and pay attention, you to Coggins, look at any college basketball program in the country, including small colleges and tell me using sheer number of players carried on a team and the limited, and very limited number of scholarships that all basketball programs are allowed to give including DIV1, and tell me how that translates into a good shot at a scholarship. Now look at a football team, probably over 100 players on a roster and a lot more scholarship money to throw around! I'm not telling you that football is better than basketball, well maybe I am, but just remember this, you are only young for a little while and you only go to high school once, so if you want to play football and basketball do what you want to do, and if you're a good enough player I promise, it doesn't matter how much practice you miss because of football you'll still play come B-ball time!

What about Sevier Co.? They ended up beating Willy B. with their #3 QB leading down the feild late for a score, and they beat all be it an overated Science Hill team, they still went to Johnson City and pretty much dominated.
