  1. There is a former assistant coach from one of the top programs in the state who has won state championships at the 5A level in your building. Left Beech to go into private business but wanted to get back to teaching. Defensive Coordinator in Ohio and great Secondary Coach. Knows how to win and is well respected by people who have worked with him. You hired the winningest Coach in KY and it didn't work out. Get someone who brings energy and a championship mentality and hope for the best. Nick Saban isn't coming to Lebanon.
  2. Very fun game to watch. This is what the people in Manchester wanted when they brought Sulkowski in. Defense will come around. Not having Thompson or Hosea at Linebacker hurt them, especially going against a terrific runningback in Williams from Columbia. These next 7 games are gonna be interesting for Coffee. Best of luck to the Red Raiders.
  3. Deangelo, Your coaches do not need you to defend them. Coaches are judged on one thing, wins and losses. I would rather see you use your frustration on working out and staying in shape then verbalizing your frustrations on CoachT. Next, It is extremely classless to accuse a 16 year old on the internet of disloyalty to the program. There are plenty of frustrations going around, especially with the losses to White and Warren and missing the playoffs, but criticize the coaches. Dont come after a player even if he is the one who starts it. He is the teenager, you be the adult. If Dee considered transferring, that is between him and his family. The point is he stayed and had a pretty good year. The criticism of the coaching staff is ok, because that is the nature of the business Dee. 2 years is not enough to build a program. Give Coach Davis another year. A lot of starters and coaches are returning and the schedule is getting easier. If you are still not proud of the direction of your program entering 2014, then go in a different direction. But these players need stability and confidence. This year there was a different feel. These seniors fought and worked hard. They practiced hard, and the defense that was put in bad situations game in and game out played every game hard to the final whistle. Meeker and the Passing game was better. Attitudes and work ethics are better. The Coaching Staff was upgraded. Strides were made. Now, year 3, the expectations should be higher. Lee Davis is not Bill Price and these players are not Price's players. Let year 3 prove what this coaching staff and these players are about.
  4. I agree with Mathers, Coker, Valentine, and Miller. Someone noone has mentioned is Jake Nunley for Coffee County. rushed for over 1000 as a sophomore at Bradley Central. Went to Coffee County and rushed for over 2000 in both his Junior and Senior years. He was a Mr. Football finalist in 05. Production wise he was one of the best in the past 10 years. I dont think he will get much love cuz of the region he played in but I still think he deserves a shout out.
  5. Coffee County girls are playing great defense lately. I understand McMinn's offense has improved a lot though. Should be a very fun game to watch.
  6. Good job girls on beating a tough White County team. Good luck and bring home the district tonight!
  7. congrats to former Coffee County DC Coy Sisk too. I know the man personally and he is a huge addition to that staff. Great man and a great coach.
  8. well whoever gets the job, hopefully the community will get behind em and support em. Coffee County is only losing a handful of starters and has a lot of talent coming back. On top of that we had an excellent freshmen group last year and have another strong freshmen class coming up. Coach Nunley worked very hard to build a program that could compete for the district for a lot of years to come and the future looks good if the boys can get some dang support.
  9. Congratulations Coach on your 1st state title and congratulations to everyone up there at Signal Mountain. Very Impressive season.
  10. I dont think MTSU would allow it either. Tearing up that field the night before mtsu games....they wouldnt let that happen
  11. if i were you, i wouldnt give cumberland county any more bulletin board material.
  12. should be a good game, 2 pretty darn good ball teams right there.
  13. yep and its at the practice field. NOT the game field.
  14. Raider59, Im really not trying to play the pessimist. I hope they win. And I would love to see a win or two in the playoffs. But remember, they have never come close to winning one. Not with Elam. Not with Nunley. Not with Clark. And none of those playoff games were respectably close. Price's last year, his dream team, couldn't do it either. And those were very good teams by Coffee County standards. But, of course, this year could always be different. Pedo, you know as well as i do that if the 97 team was playing in this district instead of playing the Riverdale's of the state they would have probably went 9-1.My Senior year I was on a team with 2 1,000 rushers and a 1500 yard passing qb. i think this offense could be even better. We still got a lot of work to do but wait until you see them this fall, they have already come a long way. The attitude is very different then it was in February when we scrimmaged East Ridge. I know Im biased here but like I said earlier, Manchester needs to get excited. If you fans show up for these players they will show up for you. Theyre working too hard this summer for people to say same ole Coffee County cuz Im telling you this is a good football team fellas.
  15. Yea i am coaching this year.
  16. Noone is going to ruin our program. We have a good football team and should be much more improved. The Coaching Staff is coming together and the team is working hard this summer. The glass is half full in Coffee County and people in Manchester need to start getting excited. Coach Price isnt around anymore so that doesnt make him reliable. he has his own team to worry about at Signal Mountain so I dont know why he would be talking bad about the faculty at Coffee County if what you said is even true.
  17. Thought it would be good for people to post when their teams scrimmage and who their scrimmaging. Wanting to see some good games.
  18. Hey Screaming Eagle, my senior year (2006) we had 3 starters out of the game and we beat yall 62-21. We scored 62 points on your "varsity" and probably could have scored 100 considering we had 2nd and 3rd team in most of the 4th quarter but I did not get on here and run my mouth. And neither did our fans and neither did any of my teammates. You have no class and you represent your school poorly. The only people in Shelbyville who have the right to talk smack is the players and even they shouldn't say much because we destroyed yall in 05 and 06. We get it man, yall were just flat out better, and your "JV" was better. Good for Shelbyville. But understand what you say on here represents the team you root for and right now, your obsession with rubbing it in and having no class is almost as embarrassing as yall barely beating us after we handed yall the ball 8 times. Its time to shut up and grow up. Now if some of the good ole folks from Sparta could get on here and fill us in on how they looked last wee I would appreciate it but considering the improvement between Shelbyville and how we looked last week, Id say were headed in the right direction.I say Coffee County 20-10.
  19. (sigh) Offense needs alot of work. CC shut them down defensively. 2 of Bradley's TDs were in the final four minutes I think. Offense doing nothing just took the life out of em it looked like. I wonder if we'll score next week....
  20. Coffee County's defense is pretty solid in my opinion. Offense was pretty nauseating to watch though. What makes it worse is it didnt seem like our Raiders had any heart. I think this game could be the most important for Coffee County. They should have won last week I think but they didnt do it. this is the first home game and Bradley is probably even as far as talent. If they lose this one I see the life of our Raiders just ending. If they win it could be a huge momentum swing and Coffee County has the easiest schedule theyve had in around 8 years. Someone needs to step up and be the go to guy on offense instead of about 5 guys fumbling the ball and hanging their head for 2 hours. I hope they pick it up.
  21. Look much improved from last year. What are everyone's thoughts on the new region, the new schedule, and how will they fare in 2009?
  22. I agree that Cookeville has had the most success the past 4 or 5 years compared to the other teams in this region. However if Warren County improves as much this year as they have the last 2 or 3 years they can compete. Cumberland County should be in 4A but I still dont think there a pushover. White County is tough and Im from Coffee County and from the practices Ive been to I think there looking really good. Until we get some results from the fall scrimmages people need to stop running their mouth. I remember a time when Cumberland county beat cookeville. The people in Cookeville do have alot to be proud about but if they think their gonna walk all over everybody then there in for a bad awakening. I dont see any easy games for cookeville.
  23. another tough loss for the raiders. i still have faith that coach nunley and his staff can have a lot of success in the future. we have a lot of young talent. if any fans are starting to be skeptical of this coaching staff than you haven't been around these guys. everyone give them time and remember how many seniors have been lost the past 2 years. we will be back in the playoffs. for all those who have not lost faith in these guys my hats off to ya. its just been a long year but we need to remember that no one in this county hates losing more than these coaches. we will be back. and i think a lot of the teams who have played us no our potential. good luck against lincoln county. keep playin fellas.
  24. Dang, I thought we had Oakland tonight. You can not score 7 points against a Murfreesboro team and expect to win, but you can keep a Murfreesboro team to 9 points and expect to win. To be honest I did not think we had a chance tonight. I just went to support these guys. I thought we pulled out something special, but what can you do. Oakland played okay. Not the team the TV and radio analysts were saying they are. Coffee County had a team filled with sophomores and Juniors and almost beat Oakland!!! that was one of the best games Ive seen Coffee County play defensively. Actually it is THE best defensive game Ive seen. Shows what happens when Nunley, Sisk, Skipper, and Clark prepare at their best. I just want to add how astounding the improvement Coffee County has made since the Spring time when Siegal killed us that scrimmage. There are some truly great future head coaches at Coffee County I believe. Congrats CC and beat Cookeville next week!!!!.
