  1. I dont really think it would change anything if you did ban it. What if a player were about to break a long run for a touchdown and the only option for the defense was to tackle him this way. What do you really think is going to happen? Of course their going to tackle him and take the penalty; in a lot of ways it would be like pass interference you dont want to do it but if your burnt for a touchdown its better than giving up the points.
  2. Actually Macon lost two very good coaches in Dyer and Harville. I hate to see them go to Carthage, but I completely understand why. Before you say it I dont know who you are but after reading your post its people like you that ran the best coaching staff Macon could have at this time out of town. THANKS! Not putting down the coaches now because they are doing a good job, but the facts are Macon had a good coaching staff split up by the ignorance of a few.
  3. Its funny that when Macon Co. has a legit shot at winning its just a game, but when CARTHAGE is up and Macon is down this game is talked about like it is the Super Bowl. Anyways, it doesn't really matter what we say or think its what happens on the field. Just for kicks I say........ Macon Co. 31 Carthage 7
  4. I agree. It has to be one of the greatest games of all time. I know it is in Macon County history. The crowd was great that night with people lined up 3 and 4 deep in the road surrounding the stadium because everyone could not get in. Great game by 2 very good football teams.
  5. Actually 3-2 has happened before, and Greenbrier was involved. I think it was in '92 that Macon Co. defeated Greenbrier at Greenbrier by a score of 3-2. Just letting you know.
  6. I agree with you totally. Coach Dyer was a good coach who was turning Macon County around until the "good ole boys" got jealous and had to run him out of town. Coach Harville was the defensive cordinator at Macon during the Dyer years and also is a very good coach. His defense was great and won alot of games for the Tigers the last couple of years. I hate to see them run out of town, but maybe it will work out better for them. I just hate to see Carthage get to benefit from the ignorance of some Macon County people.
  7. In defense of Hud20 the last time he played a team from Knoxville it wasnt good either, but I believe the last time he played CARTHAGE IT WAS GREAT!!! Now go ahead and start saying keep living in the past because that will be said by about 10 people now, but you all brought it up so I just thought I would remind you.
  8. Im not completely for sure but I think that their record in the three years that he was coach was 23 and 5. Yes, he did do a good job in the classroom so this was not the problem. I guess it was that he didnt kiss the right ***. Surprise that seems to be how it is in Macon. Get in good with Mrs. Prock and youll be fine if not oh well....
  9. Wayne Deering at Macon County also got his 300th win earlier this year.
  10. Well since you brought it up that would be a thought.
  11. Don't worry, we don't have to stir up stuff to make you all look as bad. Case in point your player shooting more than the ball. (Which apparently more than one person saw.) Still don't see anyone besides you that supposedly saw Kirts do the same. Not saying he didn't do it, but don't start knocking our players when yours do the same and apparently in front of a whole lot more people!
  12. Actually, the player that shot the crowd the middle finger was number 12 for RBS. Also, since you brought up sportsmanship what great discipline RBS has when after the game the coach and a parent are screaming at each other and RBS's "star" player goes and shoves the coach. Before you start on Lafayette you might need to get everything straight in RBS. Other than that I thought it was a very intense and fun game to watch. I don't know about RBS being 25 points better, but think what you want. The thing in sports is you don't have to be the best team you just have to be the best for the two hours of that particular game. Great effort by both teams and GO TIGERS!!!
  13. I still think that after all of the girls quiting Macon will be alright. I'm not saying all of them, but Macon may be better without some of them just because of their attitudes. I see Macon contending for the district as the surprise team!
  14. That's my point, idiots like you. I said that we might not have the tradition but for one year WE WERE THE BETTER TEAM!!! Live with it. Don't worry I know that if LA wins tonight it will be a fluke or someone was sick or something. You all always have an excuse! I will say that everyone from Carthage is not like this, but for the most part you will have some excuse. But as for me I hope to see a very exciting game with Smith vs. LA. I am going to get off of this topic so you all can talk about the game tonight.
  15. Actually, NOT. I think that someone from Carthage was who brought it up. You all seem to do that a lot and then if anyone from Macon responds you start with that last year crap! I know you have to say something about last year because it's got to kill you inside that little ole Macon County beat you twice.
  16. So, Macon County's offense was anemic, huh? Well, I believe we outscored the mighty owls by a combined score of 31 to 15. I'm not the brightest but I believe that is twice as much as you scored on us. So anemic, I think not. Even if it was it was enough to beat you TWICE! So was your offense anemic? Or was it that Macon's defense was bad###! You know people like you are why I am for Livingston. We may not have the tradition of some others, but it is frustrating when we do have a good year and you don't have the #### to just admit that for once we were better than you! GO LA SHOW THEM WHO THE REAL REGION CHAMPS ARE!!!!
  17. Macon County's non-region games will be Trousdale Co. - Week 0 Westmoreland - Week 1 York - Week 3 Smith Co. - Week 5
  18. I think that Macon County has a chance of surprising some people, especially Lipscomb. We got something for you this year!
  19. Well at least the "one big game" that we did win was against you!!!

    Next Year

Macon County will be a much improved team. I know with the new regions it will probably be a tougher schedule, but Macon will be improved.
  21. I agree with you about Wilmore. To me he is not even the best back on their team. In my opinion Dyer is a much more dangerous threat than Wilmore.
  22. There is no difference in people saying Red Boiling is going to get beat, than you getting on Macon Co. threads and talking about how we dont have a chance. You know we might not like it but at least we dont get on and cry about someone starting a thread; it was a simple question nothing to get upset about.
  23. Well as bad as I hate to admit it Trousdale County has one of the best playing surfaces around.
  24. Well, I guess your right RBS is no longer any of our concern. That is after they cancelled our game! How appropriate they call and chew you out on the phone and call and say that you are scared to play them until finally the Jr. High coach agrees to play and then 5 days later you back out. Sounds like to me RBS never wanted to play in the first place. Perhaps next time you need to get your info straight and make sure your administration isn't scared to let you play with the big boys! By the way Muffin the coach knows who called and he knows it wasnt you but you sure enough do your fair share of running your mouth.
