I think it would be awful hard to get the people in Church Hill to let Scott Rider go after he has built such a powerhouse program down there.

I could understand why you didn't know that Rangerbook. You want find it in any papers in this area. The Star thinks there's nothing better than the Rangers. They are a good 1A football team. But they are nowhere near as good as everyone makes them out to be. They will be fine as long as there playing the types of teams they played the first few games. But I think they found out last week just how far away they are from being a great team and they will be reminded again this week.

Hampton should be able to do just about anything that they want to against the most overrated team in the state.

81, I agree with you 100%. We do need to get behind our kids and give them a pat on the backs and let them know that we support them all. I think the keys to this weeks game will be to establish a running game. If not then TH will bring the house and then it will be the same thing over again, Smith running for his life. The second thing is there is going to have to tackle better. If they can do that it simple, they win. If not, it could be another long night. Go Cyclones. It looked like the D line done pretty well. Sure there were a couple bad series but they shut the toppers out for about three quarters. Must have been doing something right. I remember a couple series were JC went backwards. I think theres more than three leaving it out there. #8 was very good running the ball. 44 played some good defense can remember much on 11 other than the interference call in the endzone.

Who's beat up? I heard that #30 got hurt, but didn't hear of any others. It looked like Betsy had people open all night long and would only look to throw it to one or two guys. J.C. was impressive, their speed and size was better than what I thought they would be. Say all you want to bad about Betsy put with the experience they have gotten the last two weeks, they could possible run the table the rest of the regular season. I don't know of another team in the area that could play with Kingsport and Johnson City the way they did.

I don't know if they are by far the most talented team, but they should be at the top. I don't think that dominate is what will happen but they should win.

Coach Bayless is still around and it doesn't look like he ever has any plans to retire.

Look for Unicoi to win another hard fought game to get the three peat.

If you have no dog in the race then stay out of it. It had nothing to do with the coaching it was the players that did it. I respect what the coaches done in sitting them down alot of coaches wouldn't have done that. I think that they sould've maybe even set them for the next one also. Sure you're going to have one or two parents who think that its the coaches fault that their kid can't play or whatever but this parent thinks that the coaches their did a good job with those kids. Yes it is a shame that a couple of kids ruin an entire season for the others.

I have to say that I think that Coach McKinney and his staff have done a great job in turning that program around. If they want to continue to get better and keep on building that program then he should stay.

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough for you. I said out of 200 students if you get JUST 5 athletes that it would make a difference. Now some years may be different for the smaller schools when a good groups of athletes come through. But in general small schools can not compete with the larger schools because they don't have as many students to pool athletes from. Bottom line it doesn't matter how bad you may want it if team A has more athletes and better ones than team B then team A going to come out on top. You do the math if a school has say 2000 students versus 400 then who is going to have the better chance to have the best athletes year in and year out?
