There are some other Coaches at other schools that would argue against that. LOL That is why I say this is NO time to be complaciant. it is time to WORK EVEN HARDER. After all at one time R'dale used to beat even Oakland regularly!

That is because the compitition is not as heavy in the west part of the state. Out west you get a school like Germantown or the 'Haven' about once every 10 years. The rest of the time you can pretty much figure a school from Williamson County will be the representative.

McDaniel also took the discipline to Oakland. Unfortunately Blackman did not get the same.

NOT if they goof off now in the off season. Weight room should be VERY busy now. Also young men can run for distance and be 'social distanced' at the same time!

Better question is Ruth Co football going to shake up him? LOL

I have heard NOTHING. I miss the old days when one asstant Coach was assigned to get updates on the teams websight done instead of it being an 'after thought' of the school one! Are the young men lifting? If so HOW MUCH!?!? How is daily 'conditioning' drills going? Are they running a BUNCH? So much info that needs to be put out if the team wants boosters to help!

Or quit travelling so much at the organizations expense. Barring that they could sleep just as good at the Budget Inn as they do at the Marriot!

Depends on the $ the T$$AA receives. Money talks and the Bull stuff walks! Should not take much with the severe lack of funds going into the T$$AA this last year.

I didn't like him at OR and saw just how bad a Coach he is when it came to discipline at LaVergne!

Coach Quarles is not only an excellent X's and O's Coach, he is a class act with the young Men he turned out. This applies to their actions both in and out of school. I respect him more than any other Coach in Tennessee. Would Love to see him as HC of UT one day when he wants it.

Only reason I have any 'for medicinal purposes' is I got the little bottle from my Chaplin (he was NOT a drinker) and I took the bottle from my SgtMajor. He is a full blooded Apache Indian and gets stupid, nasty mean if he even tastes Moonshine. Man is fine with beer, but moonshine and I would have had to put him under arrest and bust him. As he is also my Daughters God Father, that would have been more trouble than I wanted! LOL

If you ever make to the Boro, call me and I might 'find' a shot for you to taste. Two of his still hands have duplicated his recipie and are still selling it. I have had a taste of it and it is the same.

I can't remember his name but the Coach at the old Murfreesboro High School before R'dale and Oakland opened during the late 1960's. Best whisky maker when he was alive, "Popcorn Sutton". I still have a 'taste' or two from his infamous Morale Run he made for Guard Members during Desert Storm 1. Man made a 500 gallon run so Guard Members deploying would have at least a pint in that DRY country.

I have no knowledge of either program. What I doubt is the so called TV money amount from a local station for a High School game. For example ESPN aired a R'dale vs Oakland game in its 'rivalry' series of telecasts and even it did not approach the amount rumored for this game. As with anything in life, "Follow the Money" to find the truth.

What is going to be interesting is what the zones are going to look like after the new Christiana High School opens. Will R'dales zone be moved over toward the current Blackman zone? Will Blackman gain more from the added Apartments from folks moving out of Nashville and from up north?

Looks like a schedule to make y'all tough when it gets to playoff time. Then go ALL the way to the Gold Ball!

Well the pool is about to get even more diluted with the New Christiana High School about to be built. They ran thru sorting out the sewer and water lines for it about two months ago. That will draw students away from R'dale and 'maybe' Oakland. Just for grins and giggles think about the man that was ORIGINALLY suppose to be it first head Coach before Rankin torpedoed him to keep from having to compete against him. For those that don't know, Crawford was 'supposed' to be Blackman's first Head Coach.

Congratulations Oakland! Lots of teams on that list that are there year after year. Noticed a severe lack of Kalifornia teams on it this year though.

Ahhhh.....leave it to my Brother from a different Mother Bounder to know my wife's pet name for me. LOL Back at ya Brother. rw87, to be considered your friend is a true honor. Thank You.

Merry Christmas to you too Brother! Mine was interrupted by a 0700 phone call that started "Morning Colonel" we have a situation and you are 'temporarily recalled'. Thusly I am getting paid for the last two days of reviewing info and laughing at the various Law Enforcement agencies running over each other. In the military it is usually reffered to as a cluster^&%! LOL Made enough money to buy me a new toy though!

Purely as a fan my two favorites are Oak Ridge with its "I'll kill you steps" and the Pit at Lincoln County. At both you have the prime high School football experience. Loud entusiatic crowds and good food at their concession stands and thru their booster clubs! I wish everyone on here could have experienced Bounder's ribs! Bounder I cannot think of them without remembering the smile on my Mother's face as she enjoyed them with me. For that....an eternal Thank You. I still need to go to that Pizza place next to the field! LOL

Would be good if ALL the schools could show the games on their puter system like they are classes. That way a BUNCH could see the games safely. Schools and the Government SHOULD have been planning ahead for this instead of their normal panic and trying to catch up AFTERWORDS! T$$AA are YOU listening and planning at least?
