  1. Campbell has always fielded teams that are disciplined and prepared. I remember when he ran the defenses at Stratford during their glory days coaching with Bubba. And we all know what HL has become since he left. He is the logical choice.
  2. Terry Anderson is deserving of coach of the year.
  3. Maplewood wins 22-21 and makes the playoffs.
  4. Gallatin was excessively critical of McGavock in 03 for their waiting until after their game to charge Gallatin with using an ineligible player. Now they do exactly the same to Station Camp. And I used to respect Gallatin...
  5. best places I've ever seen a game Litton Gallatin Lincoln County Trousdale County Memphis Melrose
  6. Ok, so I expected Maplewood to be superior to PC and East. Guess not this year. Seems both teams have reversed last season's disappointments. More experience has helped. Mostly, both teams have an elite athlete (Vaughn, Upton) that is a difference maker. Much like Martin of Overton. Remember, speed kills. And these three are burners and a must see before they move on to playing on Saturdays. As for the game, i'll take PC. .
  7. Overton is the most solid because of their tradition, administration, and coaching staff. Terry Anderson has always been a winner.
  8. CPA is hypocritical. They recruit in all sports yet they play in the public school division. The peevious coach was fired because he didn't recruit well enough. Go Panthers!
  9. EastNasty will demoralize the backwoods bumpkins, unless the zebras take over.
  10. Maplewood 26 Lipscomb 7 I give the edge to MHS due to speed, toughness, and experience of staff. Giving Coach Armstrong two weeks to prepare is huge.
  11. Ryan still plays hard. Ryan is well coached. Ryan can't match their leagues recruiting budget. Ryan should go division I.
  12. Another deep playoff run look possible?
  13. Boski, give us a recap. Maplewood must have played well.
  14. Coach Brad Peden got his first win as the head bear by defeating Cane-Ridge tonight. Fun game to watch, enjoyed the old veer.
  15. Agree about Antioch over Cane Ridge. Their fb is a man. 28-12 Maplewood will destroy Hunters Lane. 33-0 Hillsboro will light up Rossview.40-6 I'll take McGavock over Tullahoma.22-21 East qb too much for Hillwood.28-7 Overton beats Ryan. 30-9 Pearl-Cohn over Glencliff.20-0 Just educated guesses... Stratfod and Whites Creek have a bye?
  16. Not basing predictions solely on jamboree action. Consider speed, size, apparent strength, depth, and style of play as well as coaching. McGavock will be improved because staff is improved, notably Moreno in charge of their defense. And you seem to overly praise East based on what. Hmmm
  17. Saw all metro teams this weekend. Not impressed with most. Pearl-Cohn loaded with talent but they have been for years. Maplewood did not look as physical ss expected. Overton and Hillsboro looked solid. Antioch may surprise people this year. Cane Ridge talented but lacks discipline. McGavock also solid. Hillwood, Hunters Lane, Stratford, Glencliff, Whites Creek, and East face tough seasons. Expect Maplewood, Antioch and Hillsboro to advance the farthest come playoff time.
  18. Why would anyone ecpect "runtheball" to be in favor of a passing lesgue. And by the way, I see run as an NIL guy moreso than a metro guy. Good luck at CU this fall coach.
  19. You must give Ricky Bowers credit. When success follows you in all you do, you're doing something right. I wish he would go to Hillwood. Then all could see where he stands as a coach: beneficiary of circumstance, miracle worker, or somewhere between.
  20. They should have went after Bubbs Spears.
  21. Billy Key played at Litton and Georgia. Later coached at East and lived at the Shamrock.
