  1. Memphis Briarcrest 67 North Greene 25 Game 1 Of Ladies Classic
  2. I am sure it has been rough. It really has been tough on all the people who knew Neil, he was such a great young man. From the boys who went to school with him to everyone he came across from umpiring baseball to his hunting and fishing he was just a great kid. It is tougher on family than anyone else though and thoughts and prayers to Coach Ricker and his family.
  3. I Was impressed with # 14 and # 20 from Boone. I dont know who #20 is but after the game she had to get some ice put on her back. I did not really see anything happen during the game though. How young is Boone? They seemed (IMO) to be young and trying to find their identity. Looks like they have some talent but have not come together as a team just yet.
  4. Great call Muffin, can you help me out some? Who is gonna be in the super bowl and what is the score gonna be? I need some extra money. LOL
  5. Snowman, I am a Greeneville fan. The volunteerfan is for the Big Orange. I was just wondering if there was someone in the Greeneville game that you thought was playing dirty or what exactly the original poster meant. I figure from reading your posts that you would tell it pretty much like it is.
  6. Quarles was flown to Greeneville. Maybe he feels like he could better his family and financial situation and at the same time have a tremendous challenge trying to rebuild the Greeneville football program. Some coaches love a good challenge. Even if he were considering this position now that Brentwood Academy job has opened up he might have to reconsider. It would be a good pickup for anyone to get a coach with the reputation and success rate that he has. Oh and a tremendous loss for Maryville if he should leave. However as I understand the coaching situation in Maryville they have some very good assistants on the staff as well.
  7. Two teams of soldiers fighting n honer of there schools. Unlike the Greenville team, every man on that floor last night was a true SPORTSMAN and i take my hat off to u!! Well played!! Who on the Greeneville team did anything that was unsportsmanlike? I saw nothing of the sort. I even think that Cherokee after a tough defeat to the Devils shook hands and said great game, nothing dirty. And to Snowman if you read this, congrats on a good game against a big rival. By reading the tricities sports you seemed to have played an awesome 4th period when it was most needed!
  8. You sure called that one! Congrats to the Lady Rebs! Hey pg you still working for the realty company?
  9. This score may be a little misleading though, Wartburg actually was a pretty good basketball team. Greeneville played really well tonight and shot the ball extremely well. I was pretty impressed with Wartburg they had good size and they moved well. The press really seemed to hurt them tonight because Greeneville got some fast break layups off the press. Wartburg should do well in Single A. It was good to see Greeneville put up a really good game, Bailey and Anderson played great tonight. Lance Bailey really stepped up his game with starter Seth Ottinger out due to an injury. If Greeneville plays as they did tonight they will be hard to beat.
  10. Like I said in an earlier post Snow, your fans were great. I made the statement that I wish they could get a bunch at Greeneville to get rowdy like that. Actually the administration kind of frowns on it though, I hear they get fussed at about it at school sometimes. Usually when Science Hill comes to town the kids seem to really get into that one. Hey but whats up at Cherokee with the pirate hats? And the fans were pretty tough on Greenway, hope none of them play baseball he does throw it in the high 80's to low 90's now.
  11. Hey pg what kind of challenge do you think Happy Valley gives the girls tonight. Hey when you get the chance why don't you go to the South Greene page and put the Ladies roster in. I have not had a chance to make it to a game yet but when mine is not playing I am gonna come and watch.
  12. I give props where they are due, yes Cherokee played good defense and they pretty much helped Wiggins have a bad night however watching him play for the last couple of years now he was not playing well. He shot poorly at Cocke County and he shot poorly at Cherokee. Sure maybe the Cherokee defense had something to do with that but he had a bad game (still 12 points, 12 rebounds) and the bottom line is that Greeneville still won the game. Snowman I was fairly impressed with your play and you seemed really bummed out after the game, I felt you knew you guys had a chance to pull off the upset and let it get away. Even superstars are human, everyone has an off night or two. Wattad as good as he is does not always shoot lights out. Heck I can remember Jordan not scoring in the twenties on a couple of occasions in his career. So just remember next time he could be on and you might see the real Wiggins play.
  13. Is the Sullivan East -Sullivan Central score correct as reported on the scoreboard page? Wow after Center beat down DB the other night. Is East that strong or was it just one of those games where nothing seems to go right for one team and all goes right for the other?
  14. Well pgsgfr10 give me an update and your thoughts on the game Friday night since I had to go watch the Greeneville-Cherokee game. I know they won but how did the girls play?
  15. Have to hand it to Cherokee tonight, they played a very good game. If not for the pressure defense of Greeneville giving them some trouble they very easily might have put this one in the win column. Wiggins struggled for the second straight game but Cherokee had a little muscle inside and was pretty physical with him, you could tell it bothered him some. His outside shot is not falling and it seems he is letting it get to him. However he did score some from the foul line and hit a few layups and his rebounding was key at the end of the game. It was a really good game and the Cherokee fans were rowdy from start to finish, nothing really ugly but it was a good basketball atmosphere. Congrats on a good game Cherokee but Greeneville did prevail in the end.
  16. Found out for myself that this was not true according to someone that was in attendance at the game on Tuesday night.
  17. That is how they always play, very physical rough tough style. They are notorious for it and their reputation for it may be how they are able to get away with it.
  18. I heard rumored that Jordan Laws will be suspended two games for an altercation during the game with Elizabethton on Tuesday night. Is there any truth to that rumour? I heard it at work this morning and just wondered about it. Thanks for any input.
  19. Great win for the Lady Rebels last night. Must have been a really good game and the girls came up big when they needed too. Congrats on the win, keep up the good work and give Chelle a pat on the back for me before you get on her about another part of her game. LOL
  20. I think South Greene wins this one as well. I tend to think in the ten to fifteen point range. How did South Greene look on Monday night against Cloudland? I know they won but by 7 so was Cloudland pretty good or was it not a good night for the lady Rebs or what? Help me out here pgsg.
  21. Were DB's Freshman team not really good last year? I did not see them play but heard they were pretty good. Are none of those boys ready to step up and play any varsity? Also the Science Hill Freshman were pretty good last year as well. I made the statement last year at the region that I thought it would be tough for anyone to come out on top of Science Hill and DB the next few years, is that not going to be the case? Let us hear from some of the DB and Science Hill who know!
  22. I was simply making a statement of how bad I think it is that our county teams (or city) are so jealous of the others doing good. If you dont think its real thats your opinion as you would say. But I know it first hand by everyone rooting against the South Greene girls when they were in their glory years. It was a staterment, my statement, my opinion, and if you don't like what I put you are welcome to skip my posts. I try to be fair objective and truthful in all that I post and I intend to keep it that way.
  23. Last time I checked the district and regional tournaments were not given to just who wants them, they are fixed in advance to the season. I am sure every school wants to play on their home floor but Greeneville had nothing to do with that. So if Greeneville was to have won the region at Science Hill, Or DB, Or Central last year what would be your excuse then?
