  1. As I have stated before Beau Brown needs to get closer to the 3 point line to shoot his 3's. His NBA range 3's aren't doing it as he went I believe 0-8 on 3's today. I attended the Mitchell and Bolivar game last night and wasn't really impressed with either teams play. Willie Kemp was 1-8 on 3's in the first half I do believe. Which lead to the Bolivar not playing good at all. I wanted to see more from both teams, but I guess I was too hyped up with all the D-1 signees between both teams. Thaddeus only had 18 or 20 points on the night, but surely he will turn it on against Goodpasture. I believe Central has a good chance on winning tommorrow if Beau hits his shots from the perimeter. He was very good today when he drove inside. Liberty played decent today, but not up to their par. First round jitters usually shock all teams. We will just have to wait and see on this game. The foul calling in all of the games so far is just pittiful! When someone takes a shot and gets knocked to the floor and they don't call a foul, and then the refs comeback and call a wimpy little reach in! This has happened in all the games so far! I believe in letting them play, but in some of the games it has gotten out of hand. Good luck to all teams in the Semis
  2. I have sources that have spoken to and I also have spoken with a few D1 and D2 coaches, asst coaches, and student coaches. From what they have said to me it is that Beau does not have the major competition to show his skills like the guys from west Tn do. They love his skills, team play, and pure shooting ability along with being left handed! Beau is being smart by waiting to sign. Because their will be alot of scouts and coaches that will come to the State playoffs to watch him play. One of my scources spoke to a Vandy student coach who got ahold of the video of him playing against Portland and Corey Brewer and was amazed that the kid was out most of the 3rd and 4th quarter while he was being stitched up and still scored over 30 points in this game against a Mcdonalds All-American. Alot of teams are just waiting to see how he does against top competition. Spoke to a coach that drove to the Roundhouse to watch him against White House, and this man told me,"This kid is going to get some offers somewhere. He is a pure 3 point shot, but often times takes the longer 3 which isn't a turn on for many coaches. We are wanting to see him play some top competition and see how he fares." Beau may have to prove himself in JUCO, but he will be good wherever he goes. As the guy from above stated these are all statements from people other than me, and do not attribute any of this to me.
  3. OK It is about time that McMinn Central got the respect that they deserve. GUYS IT IS NOT MCMINN COUNTY!!!! IT IS MCMINN CENTRAL!!! 2 schools in mcminn county that means 1 of them is 3A and the other is 2A. Give them the respect that they deserve!
  4. If central had all of there guys playin on the freshmen team they would be killer! but from what i have seen they have a guy "coaching" (if you wanna call it that) that didn't have that much time on the floor back when central boys stunk a big one. and they colby kid HE stinks!!! he missed 2 or 3 layups the other night in WARMUPS so don't come on here defending the kids that just plain stink. I have seen some junior pro players play better than this kid. i don't care how much weight he has lost that has nothing to do with his skills.
  5. MCMINN CENTRAL (NOT THE PAST 2 YEARS THOUGH) TRY THERE BOWLCUTT. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN DOWN THE PAST 2 YEARS THEY ARE STILL PRETTY WILD. BUT AROUND 2 TO 3 YEARS AGO IT WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST PLACES TO PLAY AT IN THE STATE. THOSE WERE THE YEARS THAT A PAPER DESCRIBED THEM AS LITTLE CAMERON (DUKES ARENA) THAT IS A HECK OF A NAME TO LIVE UP TO.TO BAD THEY HAD TO CHANGE FROM ROUNDHOUSE ROWDIES TO THE BLUE NATION
  6. THANK YOU J ROCK!! THE PAST 2 YEARS HAVE BEEN DOWN YEARS FOR THE CENTRAL FAITHFUL. MAYBE THEY NEED A LESSON FROM THE "ROUNDHOUSE ROWDIES" THAT USED TO RUN THE PLACE. BLUE NATION HAHAHAHA THAT IS SO FREAKING GAY
  7. what does it matter anyway. I have seen some highly ranked teams get beat at substate and even in regions. but i think cleveland should win state this year! that team is so stacked it is not even funny,
  8. who do you guys think will make it to regions from this district? and if so who is there main competition in the regions?
  9. i have to agree with you guys charles can dribble and he has some great speed. i think that the coaches at Dayton will have him up to par in 2 years on his shooting. He has greatly improved his free throw shooting ability. and the kid is such a force on the boards and the jumping ability is amazing. he doesnt need to shoot. he can drive the lane with some of the best speed i have seen. I wish he just had a shot like sir lee mason had. if he had great perimeter ability the kid would go ACC! well maybe i am exagerating just a little but he would go a little better than Dayton even though Dayton is a great basketball college
  10. guys i wasn't making excuses yeah they got beat. i will give them that. and i ain't hating on anyone. i won't say he is fantastic until he is going D-1. fantastic is a word that has a big meaning when you look it up in a dictionary montana. He is a good player with good defensive skills. I will give props to the person that is good i don't care to. but i am saying also on hicks is that he hasn't shown me anything. Is he even averaging double digits in scoring this year? if he is it is around 10 points per game. I would say just guesstimating 9.5 points per game. He is one of the only reasons i went to watch McMinn play is because i heard he was a great player. I am sure he will come into his own since he is only a sophmore though. the reason central plays these teams is to show how good they are and that they can stay with a bigger school. they also play them to get better because how many great teams does central play in thier district? 1 walker valley! how many do they play in the region? 4 howard, arts and sciences (that powell kid is a great player) hixson and east ridge. if that many. IF arnwine and hicks play well on tuesday i will be the first to admit it. and saying that both boys and girls teams came to watch little along with about 5 coaches (not all from mcminn) that i seen i dont think they were there to size up on Little. but we will see at the roundhouse come tuesday night. good luck to all of y'all playing on both teams. and even to montana at wherever he is playing. and you guys must agree with me that this is one of the greatest rivalries in highschool basketball. i mean what can make you fight over a subject this much and you actually love every minute of it.
  11. i have to agree all sequoyah has i jones. He is a great player but they will need more than him to beat central. he really didn't do all that much from what i saw at central but he did play good when the teams met at sequoyah. from what i remember seqouyah kept it close until the 4th
  12. yeah i saw both games sorry i put the wrong name down. my bad! its kinda hard to remember every player i see plays name. and plus one of my good friends is named tyler hicks so i might have just put his name down instead of justins sorry i overlooked that. sorry for being human i did see the ooltewah game yes. and nicolo probably would have had the dunk if he didn't see what was about to happen if he did dunk it. i did see your post j rock. From what i heard he played better against SE than he did against ooltewah though. well when you play 3-A teams when you are 2-A yeah you should lose 75 % of the time. its funny when a team loses to a 3A school that people brag about it like it is a big thing. And the whole thing about kids going to central that should go to mcminn. are u talking about casey browder? cause that would be the only one i know of that would even be close to going to mcminn. and I bet that you want hear hick's name that much. I watch more than just one team unlike most of you. but we will all see who is the better team come tuesday night when they play each other. don't get me wrong mcminn has a decent team and i will give them their props on that hicks has good handles but nothing to special to me anyways. no i ain't scared why would i be scared. price is a decent player also on mcminn's team he impressed me more than anyone against ooltewah.
  13. Beau had 34! 34!! how many will your top scoring player have against Cleveland? I have attended 2 McMinn Cherokee games this year and from what I have seen no one on your team will get 25. Nicolo has stepped up for Central also scoring 16 and 12 in the last 2 games. That is doing pretty good since he is outscoring some of the players on your team. I don't see why your saying Arnwine is playing great he didn't do that well against ooltewah or SE Whitfield for that matter. JUSTIN Hicks might have a good game but that is a MIGHT! McMinn can not stop Beau! try to contain him but y'all sure as heck can't stop him. I saw most of McMinn's team at the Central vs Cleveland game the other night. Are they scared or what. I must admit the girls game will be in McMinn's favor but why was your peckerhead for a girls coach taking notes? The thing about it is is McMinn is almost double Central in size and Central still competes with y'all in basketball. McMinn should beat Central by atleast 15 if not more every year. them and cleveland. Cleveland only beat Central by 9. Maybe they are just going to show you what 2-A BALL IS!!!
  14. THATS IT ROB IS JUST TALL NOT POWERFUL OR NOTHING I CAN SEE WHY HE DUNKED ON HIM. ROB IS TALL AND GOOD IN HIS SKINNY WAY. HE ONLY WEIGHS ABOUT 200 LBS @ 6'11'' WHEN HE SHOULD BE 250 AT LEAST. BUT CHARLES LITTLE IS THE BEST DUNKER IN EAST TN FOR SURE
  15. most talk around the regions that he is close to goes to Martell Powell or Beau Brown. If he just started making a name for himself this year (senior year) I doubt UNC AND DUKE are both calling him. Just cause he can dunk doesn't mean he is good. I have seen players that could kill a dunk but couldn't throw a hotdog down a hallway as far as shooting.
  16. I say CLEVELAND BIG TIME!!!!! didn't Walker Valley get shut down by a McMinn Central team that lost 3 D-1 Players and are not as good as they have been in past years. Please Walker Valley is too d*mn hyped up (can you cuss on these post without being tossed?) oh well. Cleveland is the best team in the area.
  17. sounds like more of a thug than a basketball player. What year is this kid in? I might have to come see him, but even being as close as I am to Maryville I still haven't heard of this kid.
  18. i have been to see some of the guys out west play and you can't really put Beau Brown and them in a comparison because we never see them play each other. I have seen some of the talent in all 3 sections of the state and Brown may or may not be able to make the list. He should atleast get a nod for honorable mention though. Went to McMinn Central's first home game this year and he had 3 awesome dunks. He should have had 4 but the oop was thrown too high and Beau barely caught it and came down wrong. I wouldn't count out anyone from out west though just because memphis is so largely populated, but you have to admit Beau Brown will make a run for Mr Basketball in the 2005-2006 season. Wes Adams is also a great shooter; open or not he can still knock them down. I don't know if it was the wisest move for him to move to Bradley though, and don't compare him to Quirk please I have seen nothing but choking from Quirk. plus his dad is a peckerhead.
  19. sorry i was wrong on the scores beau had 24 and brewer had 20. i was closer on brewer's but remember Beau was sidlined all of the second half until he came in at around the 2:30 mark in the 4th quarter and left at the start of the third.just trying to get all my facts straight so i won't make some of you perfect people mad.
  20. sorry got my years mixed up. i am human i do make mistakes
  21. THE OWLS DONT DESERVE TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS, THE WAY THEY PLAYED AGAINST MCMINN CENTRAL, THEY SHUT THEM OUT,BUT THEY PLAYED HORRIBLY
  22. corey's team didn't go to the 2003 state tournament. he went to the 2002 but not 2003.
  23. oh yeah beau brown was a sophomore last year and showed him up. I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch but look for Beau to go somewhere big the kid just has too much talent and the word will spread. He impressed alot of colleges last year at the substate and state games when they came to watch some other kids. I promise the kid is good. Corey is a good player I agree and McDonalds All American is a great honor but he didn't do that much for me in that game either. Look for Beau in the near future remember he is only a JUNIOR this year.
  24. seen him in 4 games actually and at central this past year he was only guarded by 1 player most of the time so i am not trying to diss him in anyway of course he is a great ballplayer just not the best i have ever seen at the highschool level. I do alot of traveling and scouting of the tennessee area so i have seen him more than once.
  25. Chase Runyan of McMinn Central 6'4 forward that played from 1999-2002 great ball player. Johnny Hayes of Polk County 5'11 guard that could do some good scoring went to college on a biking scholarship in Colorado
